  2. swing bridge

Hello. make the possibility of building the route, taking into account the bridges. St. Petersburg (Russia), it is true. in winter bridges are not diluted, but the program thinks that the bridges are divorced and build a detour route. Thank you for your program :)

  3. Transit point / Around point

Transit point is an exact point in a map. If I define that my route must go through city X, the navigation applies exact point in the center of the city X and leads me though this point. If my target idea is to use the city X only as a point around which the route runs, there is no way how to do it. The new "around point" could define only area, through the route should run to the end of the route. The navigation could go through the defined "around point" using optimum way.

  4. Ensure that re-routing doesn't add time to trip

I have had multiple times where I have chosen to take an alternate, parallel road rather than the one Waze wants me to go (such as I-295 in NJ versus NJ Turnpike, or I-95 Express Lane vs. I-95 in Maryland). In these instances, rather than direct me to the next interchange to continue on the planned route from an upcoming access point, it wanted me to double back and reverse course to the original access point, which would've added 20 minutes to my trip, when just continuing on the alternate route would have only changed ETA by 0-1 minute.

  5. Only report and show hazards / etc on your side of the road

When viewing the map or receiving alerts, add an option to only report items on the side of the road you are driving and/or you are routed on. As a "reverse commuter" I constantly see hazards on my route but they are usually on the other side. It makes viewing the map for issues very difficult, almost unusable.

  7. On the car screen the Exit Route Button is on the right side, it should be on the left side to be closer to the driver.

Exit Route Button on in car screen is located on the right side, it should be on the left side to be closer to the driver.

Also the same for the button used to report things on the road.

The less time a driver looks away from the road the better, and looking and reaching farther away is never a good thing.

For some reason, waze in Jerusalem keeps changing driving route...I suggest to check from entry to town rd 1 to the old city. From old city to Bethlehem, from Bethlehem to Rd 1 (Tel Aviv).

  9. Truck routes

    Waze dev team,

Please consider an option for drivers (Waze users) to enter in their vehicle height so that Waze can provide them with suitable routes, avoiding routes with low bridges/clearance?

This would be applicable for truck drivers, tradespeople with work vans and work equipment on roof as well as casual drivers with trailers.

Reason for this is to avoid the frequent low bridge collisions or congestion due to truck having to back out of road.

In Australia, prior to GPS maps such as Waze or Google Maps, we used to have truck edition of paper maps or…

  10. Add favorites from desktop Mac/PC.

Add Desktop access. I find a route on my desktop, I have to send myself a text to add it to Waze. It would be nice if I could access my Waze client so I could both add favorites and manage current addresses on my desktop where I have a full keyboard.

  12. Arrows for one way streets

Please add arrows to one way streets! It would be SO helpful when you want to try to go a different route in the city to know if the surrounding streets are one way and which direction it goes.

  13. Add routes that *avoid* red light and speed cameras similar to routes that avoid tolls.

Similar to routes that avoid tolls there should be routes that avoid speed cameras and red light cameras.

  14. Feature to Avoid Specific Road

I really do love Waze! You guys are great! But can you PLEASE add an option to avoid specific roads (or steps of a route)? There’s a route that Waze directs me on my commute daily, both ways, that includes 2 roads that are extremely dangerous. I don’t mean difficult intersections or something like that. I mean regularly reported gun violence, car jackings at stop signs/lights, and gang activity. I literally had this map editing option back in the days of printing out mapquest directions… any kind of option would be wonderful! Thank you!

  15. User coud select correct lane

In my country (Brazil), there are many places with Express & Local lanes running side by side.

In that case when Waze makes the route and the traffic changes quickly, I decide to choose a different lane (for exemple express instead of local), I wanted to be able to "touch" the screen and select the correct lane, so Waze could re-route and show me the rights options to continue my route.

Great news! Lane guidance feature is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

  16. Cost-saving route suggestion with minimal time trade-off

"Smart Save" routing option that suggests routes that are up to a few minutes longer but result in a lower travel cost. - ideal for drivers who are flexible on time but want to save money on tolls, fuel, or parking.

  18. less vocal

So on trips that we take everyday only notify if there is a change in route. I don't need to hear everyday to take this exit and then stay left

  19. Plot your chosen route by drawing it on, just like you would do with a traditional paper map.

I mostly know how to get where I'm going, except for the last 200 yds.
So, what I currently do, is to programme in a destination, then ignore the sat-nav until that last few streets.
But if I'm mid-journey (on my chosen route) and I hit a big delay or something, I have to try and read my paper map to get me a decent alternative "cross-country", then get back to actually heading towards my destination.
