Commercial routing
Commercial Route option; helps avoid roads and highways that either limit by weight or commercial vehicles in general.
I utilize a commercial vehicle mainly by label in Connecticut and they restrict routes for these vehicles. Waze doesn’t know that and impossible to navigate around

Warn me when the estimated time of my commute (by a certain route) is taking longer than usual.
I prefer not to take toll roads. They're expensive. So, if my commute by normal roads is approaching 30 minutes (which is how long I give myself to get to work), I want to know, so that I can leave with enough time to make it there without paying for the toll road.

Possibility to tick an avoid country lanes box
Overview routes are only general. A button to tick "Avoid country lanes/no name lanes) would be so useful to not go in circles, trying to find a better route towards a location. It's not always possible to avoid country lanes, but most of the times/most of the route can be at least on B roads.

Destination preview in Android Auto
When using the assistance, waze often chooses the wrong destination. It would be super helpful to see the destination for a few seconds before the route actually kicks in. Or to be able to confirm.

Routing server timeouts - retry in the background
Sometimes everyone of us experiences routing server timeouts with an Oops/OK prompt. Then one needs to reclick the destination while driving, which is disturbing. Perhaps the client could have an option to retry a couple of times in the background, and then notify if all retries failed?

Instead of adding a Pause button, ask what we are stopping for.
When stopped and it asks if you are in traffic, if the answer is no, let us tell you what we are stopped for. Also, if we go off route, ask if we are leaving our route for bathroom, food, gas, etc. Once we get back in the car, based on where we are, let us tell you where we stopped, and rate it. If for food, let us rate it and integrate the rating with Yelp. If bathroom, let us rate the quality of the restroom overall and if it is family friendly. I have been on the…

Routes should default to Map View instead of List View
Upon setting a destination and clicking Routes, I would like the default view to be Maps instead of List. Please make this an option.

Waze Delivery
I run a weekly trash route. I add customers weekly. I currently use Waze but I can’t add unlimited stops on a route that optimizes stops for quickest completion of the route. I am forced to use g maps to plan my route.
Can you design a “Waze Delivery” or “Waze Pro” that offers unlimited stops for a delivery route that can also optimize the stops for quickest drive, shortest miles traveled, as well as easily add or delete a stop.

Option to "drive through" when using navigation
When Using navigation, sometimes I need to drive through particular point on map, I mean drive to destination VIA some point on map. When taping and holding on map, a popup menu shows up. It would be great to add there an option for the "Drive Through this location" or something like that. It would also give a chance to plan a more specific route if such custom "VIA points" could be added as much as needed.

Sharing Routes With Friends
The sharing tool from Whatsapp is not so accurate, so it would be very nice to have something to like that but functional. The main idea is an option that you could save the actual route that you're running and export this to your friends, it would be very useful for trips to countryside and rural areas.And in urban areas sometimes you may not want the shorter or the faster way but the safer way. - general

Auto hide top navigation bar in CarPlay
When not on an active route in CarPlay allow the top navigation bar to be hidden like happens in Google Maps and Apple Maps

Allow Local Passes (like current HOV/Toll Passes) for Access to Private Neighborhood Gates & Other Restricted Routes
Currently waze will avoid these gated routes when routing even though some users may have access. Instead, waze should allow local passes (much like the current HOV and Toll Passes) so users with access can add a local pass in app and the app will then know it can route that user through the restricted gate or road.

routes for caravans
Please create a category for those towing a caravan so that inappropriate routes are not offered.
I would rather travel further on a good road than be guided onto a narrow, winding, steep or unsafe surface when towing my caravan.
The risk of a collision with an oncoming vehicle travelling at high speed on a windy dirt road is very high when visibility is limited and there is no room to manoeuvre21 votes -
Add option to make restrictions visible similar to closures
This goes together with a suggestion on the WME side to add a check box in WME.
Since there is no easy way to add closures based on a schedule, there are times it would be nice to have restrictions that can be scheduled show in the app similar to a closure. That way someone driving without a route will have the visual cue like a closure.

I drive from NJ to Queens NY and want to avoid the new congestion charge. Would like to see route options that avoid the new congestion road tax.

More intuitive routing
I've had instances where it selected a route that was 6 miles longer, despite the same arrival time. Granted one may have been a few seconds earlier, I wish it was a bit more intuitive.

Suggestion on Live Reports (Cross Streets)
It would be nice to know the closest cross street or major cross street of the report. Currently I see only the street that the user reported it on. Some of those roads are miles long and it would help to know where so I may change my route.

Autodetect closures and closed roads
Waze should automatically detect closures and close roads without relying on Wazers to use the in-app closure function or on map editors to add them. Just as Waze can detect traffic and reroute, it could also detect when no one follows the directed guidance and there is zero traffic on a segment. Then when Wazer start driving on the segment again it could reopen.
Google Maps (part of Google Geo) gets closure info from Waze. And Waze (part of Google Geo) should also get closure info from Google Maps. It doesn't now, and instead will route Wazers into…

Add the ability to the Voice request for routing to Saved destinations
There are times I'm driving and want an alternate route to a unique destination. Let's say I'm driving to visit Aunt Millie that's 45 miles away. Traffic becomes very slow and I want to use an alternate route. Unfortunately, I don't know how to get to an alternate route nor which one is best. Being able to tap Voice request and ask to go to saved destination Aunt Mille would be a more efficient and safer method
