1. Ability to switch speed/speed limit display.

   The speed limit is the critical information. Currently it is the smaller of the two shown. Often, on a phone, the speed limit is too hard to read.

2. Display the maximum speed for speed traps

   It would be a great help to display the maximum speed allowed at speed traps. I don't know elsewhere, but in Brazil you have several fixed/stationary ones with a fixed maximum speed limit.

3. speed camera

   You used to let us report Police -> Speed camera. For temporary speed cameras. Now we can only report police/visible or police/hidden. Not all speed cameras are permanent map features. Please reinstate this feature.

4. Please adjust speed camera alerts when in traffic

   Please adapt speed camera alerts for traffic and speed. You’re notifying me of cameras 0.5 mile in advance when I’m going 5 mph in traffic. Then traffic opens up and I speed up and I don’t realize the camera is there.

5. Notice if a location has had speed cameras/police cameras report multiple time in that locations

   An alert if a location has had multiple reports of speed cameras or police in that location in the past.

   I'm thinking of mobile speed camera traps that are moved around. The locations for both mobile speed traps and mobile speed vans tend to reuse the same locations.
   So being able to have an alert saying cameras have been reported in this location previously would be brilliant.

6. Make the speed limit and speed bigger

   The speed limit and current speed are so small on the screen you can’t really see it when glancing - needs to be a similar size as the one on Google maps abs Apple Maps and make it so it’s easily readable

7. Feature request: Audio alerts for speed cameras when screen is locked and regardless of speed

   Hello Waze Team,

   I’m writing to suggest a feature that would significantly improve safety and usability for motorcyclists using your new Moto Mode.

   The problem:

   When riding a motorcycle, the phone is often in my pocket or mounted with the screen off to save battery. Currently, Waze speed camera alerts are only audible if the driver exceeds the speed limit . If I'm riding within the limit, the alert is only visual, and with the screen locked or off, I receive no warning at all.

   The request:

   Please add an optional setting (in Settings > Alerts & reports > Speed cameras) that allows users to always receive audible speed camera alerts, regardless of their speed and even when the device is locked/screen is off.

   Why this is important:

   1. Motorcyclist safety: An audible alert allows the rider to know a camera is ahead without taking their eyes off the road to check the screen. This is critical on a motorcycle where visual attention must remain on traffic.
   2. Consistency with Moto Mode: This feature aligns perfectly with the recent Moto Mode improvements, which already focus on anticipating road hazards (potholes, speed bumps) to enhance rider safety. Speed cameras are another hazard that riders need to know about proactively.
   3. Better user experience: It would allow riders to run Waze in the background with the screen off (e.g., in a pocket) knowing they'll receive all relevant alerts, regardless of their current speed.

8. Waze should have the Road Speed in build with its MAPS and this should be compared with it's Speedometer feature to put the ALERT to user

   Waze should have the Road Speed in build with its MAPS and this should be compared with it's Speedometer feature to put the ALERT to user/driver if he/she would exceed the speed limit.

   For example, if the allowed speed limit for some road/high way is 100 KM and user accidentally crosses the speed and reached to 105KM or 110 KM then WAZE should put the ALERT to its user that the speed limit is crossed and user may have fine so decrease the speed to avoid any fine.

   Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already displays a speedometer, including both your driving speed and the speed limit for the road you’re currently on.

   Please give the option to make the Speed Display and Speed Limit Boxes Larger. It is very hard to see due to small size. This would be very helpful in cars like mine that do not have a digital speed display.

10. Speed cameras / radars notifications on iOS CarPlay only over speed limit.

    Hi there,

    I live in Dubai, where you can go up to 20km/h over the speed limit before the speed camera / radar actually jumps. There is a speed camera / radar each kilometer, so the amount of alerts you get on the CarPlay display is HUGE.

    Also, I saw that you can configure Waze to inform about the speed limit on different speeds and level, like "+5km/h" or similar.

    I would like to suggest the same regarding the speed camera / radar alerts, as I want to get informed but only when / if I go over a certain speed limit. Otherwise, I get an alert every second and I cannot see properly the screen or have to manually cancel them each time (or disable, so makes no sense).

    The idea is to setup a speed limit margin or speed camera / radar margin, so if you drive over that speed, the alert will show.
    Example:
    - speed limit 110km/h
    - speed camera / radar triggers at 131km/h (20 good, 20+1 photo)
    - alerts on, "show in the map", "notify while driving" AND "notify if your speed will trigger".
    - so, if I do 125km/h, only show in the map and everything good. If I go 131km/h, the app will notify and you can slow down.

11. Display car speed//speed limit option in Waze

    My wish: to be able to choose, as an option, EITHER the display of my speed (which my car already gives me) along with an alert when I’ve exceeded the speed limit (which basically means it’s already too late!); OR the display of the current speed limit on the route. That would be truly useful information, because while driving you often lose track of which zone you’re in—50? 70? 80? 90? One quick glance at Waze and the info would be right there, clearly visible.

13. Static mobile speed camera areas

    I think static mobile speed camera alerts could be useful, in certain areas, especially in NSW Australia mobile speed cameras are only allowed to set up on certain roads in certain spots, an alert for entering these areas could play a useful role in driver safety

14. Add speed-based volume ramping

    When at highway speed Spotify/audio can be at full volume, when coming to a slowdown the audio will automatically decrease in volume.

    This can help drivers be more alert of their surroundings at intersections and when exiting highway traffic.

    I would like to suggest an improvement to the Apple CarPlay experience when approaching speed cameras.

    Currently, when a speed camera alert appears, it temporarily replaces or hides important navigation details such as the estimated time of arrival (ETA), remaining distance, and trip duration. This can make it difficult to stay aware of key trip information while driving.

    I recommend maintaining the visibility of ETA, remaining distance, and travel time even during speed camera alerts, or displaying the alert in a way that does not override these essential details.

    This improvement would enhance usability and allow drivers to stay informed without compromising safety.

    Speed / red light camera alerts are announced too early on local steeets currently.
    Most of the time, the alert is announced over 750m away. And on local streets, it is very likely that there there would be multiple other intersections before reaching it. So by the time the actual camera location is reached, the alert is already forgotten.
    Please make it so that the camera alerts are announced closer to the actual camera while on city streets (around 200 - 250m). Or add a second alert when "approaching speed / red light camera", in addition to the current one so that it's not forgotten.
    Ideally, Waze would be smart enough to use the speed of the car to calculate the best time to announce the alert so that there would be just the right amount of time for the driver to take action.

    Sound an alert telling me that I am coming up to a speed trap (a location I have put in)

    I would enter the location of a known speed trap and get a warning before I get there. The location of that speed trap remains in the system unless I remove it.

20. Haptic alert

    Hi

    I want all speed alerts to be vibrational - via Apple Watch. I need the feature to be active all the time, so when I run out door and jump in car I know I will be alerted every time I exceed a speed limit. I need the vibration to continue until speed is back within limit.

    This is essential for a motorcycle rider and I think best option for car driver also, you can be looking at phone or expecting to hear a ph in noisey environment, let alone feel a vib from phone in a loose coat pocket.

    It’s a logical step forward and would like to see these options implemented quickly - save lives and license
