traffic alert in highway
as a Waze user, I'd like to receive a voice traffic alert when traveling on a highway (at highway speeds) and the map shows traffic on the route. Also, I'd like to have the configuration option to enable or disable it.

Alert while not in navigation
It would be great that Waze can alert you even if you are not enter the route so if you just launch the app and start driving.
You won’t enter destination and selecting route if you’re driving to work every day but you still can get the ticket for speeding..3 votes -
Pouvoir choisir la distance de la voix.
Je m'explique. De base elle indique à 1km, 200m etc. Environ 3 fois avant un virage.
Il nous faudrai un paramètre pour modifier la distance de la voix. Pouvoir lui dire d'indiquer avec plusieur option (type 200m, 400m, 800m, 1km etc.) cela évitera de la répétions de la voix et ainsi calmer les nerfs quand elle répète 300 fois la même chose. 👌🏻

Bring back the possibility for drivers to alert to temporary, mobile or unknown speed cameras.

Alert when there is a diversion from the most common route
When I'm on my daily route I usually turn off sound and switch to "Alert only" mode. That causes me to not notice if there is a diversion from my most common route. Adding and alert to notify me of that diversion would be amazing.

Speedometer speeding threshold alert below speed limit
I currently have a blackbox installed in my car for insurance purposes. I would like to be able to set my speedometer alert BELOW the speed limit so I know I am approaching it and DONT GO OVER the limit. The options now are all ABOVE the limit.

Railroad Crossing Alert
With the latest software on iOS/CarPlay (version 4.103.1.1), when I receive an alert for a railroad crossing and I close it by pressing the Close button, it keeps popping up until I cross over the railroad crossing. My daily commute involves a railroad crossing that I pass over everyday and the ONLY way to close the alert is to ignore it and eventually it closes on its own.

Calculate the best route based on both shorter time and distance. Not just one of them.
I prefer the fastest way, but only when it is reasonable.
I can never trust the option automatically suggested for me and I always find myself checking the routes. In many cases I switch to the second option.
For example:
Option 1: 49 minutes, 58 Km
Option 2: 50 minutes, 47 Km
I would rather spend 2% more time than spend 21% more fuel...Most people would prefer spending another minute in this case. Why do we always have to bother going to the routes to find out.
The user can select his preference for either shortest or fastest way…

Incorporate a simple view. With speed, distance to next turn and direction of next turn.
When driving at night, all I need to know is my speed, distance to the next turn and direction to turn.
(ETA would of course be nice to see with smaller text.)
I use Hudway Trip for that, but I really prefer WAZE.4 votes -
Lengthening alert time before left/right turns
When approaching a right or left turn, the application many times doesn't give enough time to respond.
I assume this might be partly because of inaccuracies in the car location, but I think the basic problem is not recognizing it takes time to move from lane to lane, especially in crowded roads.
In my opinion you should lengthen the time for the final alert to at least 6-8 seconds before the turn.
I must emphasize that this time should be the time of the end of the alert, and not the beginning of it!8 votes -
Automatic alert clearing
I find it frustrating that a speed or red light camera alert doesn’t clear itself automatically once past the location.
If you don't manually clear the alert it will permanently stay up covering other useful trip information.1 vote -
Please Bring Back ETA Box when there is an alert open
It has been confirmed that it is a WAD:
"ETA should be shown after alerter will be closed."
Please bring back the ETA Box for Carplay when a map alert opens.
ETA Box should never be hidden.

I wish there was a way to set my speed alert at seven or eight or nine mph over the limit not just 5 or 10

Alert police on both sides of the road
Currently, waze only provides an alert when approaching police on the same side of the road. In Australia, police will check vehicle speed in both directions. Waze should have the option to provide alerts when approaching police on the opposite side of the road.

Alert Settings
Please add a user setting for full or reduced alerting on roads usually travelled. The current regime of forced reduced alerting is causing confusion, map queries to WAZE and mistrust that WAZE is reliable. Not receiving alerts (regardless of alert settings) about driving behaviour cameras on usually travelled roads, as currently occurs when alerts reduce, defeats the purpose of using the app.

Customizable Speeding Alert Sounds
Please consider allowing users to customize the sound when a user exceeds the selected speed limit threshold. The beep the app makes is too quiet and easy to miss. A customizable sound/volume or an audible alert of "Speed Threshold Exceeded" would be useful for users who desire the alert to opt into.

Wrong-Way One-Way Alert
Hello,
Request the implementation of an Alert Feature in the application that provides an immediate audio and visual warning on the map if the system detects the vehicle is traveling the wrong way on a One-Way Street.
This feature would significantly enhance driving safety and help prevent potential accidents.

Add distance to routes in apple car play
When showing routes in apple car play, only the time to destination of each route is displayed. Please also add the distance of each route, which is a very important parameter for selecting the route.

allow mute one kind of alert
i.e. when much people is reporting fog the alert is received every few meters.
A mute option for that kind of alert for that session will be very helpfull.2 votes
