3. Enable passenger search while driving in android auto mode

   In android auto the search is removed until the car is stopped. My passenger wants to search for a new location destination. Sadly we have to stop the car to do that. A prompt asking if you are the driver would be better, then allow them to search. How can waze assume all interaction must be the driver?? If the driver declares to be a passenger well that's driver negligence but stop All interaction to prevent that, this renders the app useless at times.

4. Android Auto Enhancements

   The Android Auto integration is pretty good, but what would make it perfect is just a couple tweaks:

   1) Make it auto-start when you start Android Auto. I don't mean it would come up instead of the AA home screen, I mean unlike Google Maps, when you have Waze as your default mapping app, your typical destinations don't appear on the AA home screen until you click the map icon. I also cannot hit my car's "Nav" button to get me into Waze until I've manually opened it once. With Google Maps as default, I can hit Nav button on my car, and it goes right to it. It appears that Maps "warms up" on connecting to the car, where Waze does not.

   2) When using Waze on a car with rotary control (and not touch, as in a Mazda), when you get an alert about police or hazard, you have to rotate the wheel the wrong direction from how the items select. Reverse that, please!

   3) When starting out, nothing is highlighted by default. It would be great if the "resting" state of nav mode is the "Report" button being highlighted.

5. Android Auto

   2022 Chevrolet Blazer with Android Auto is still having freezing issues that's forcing me to use other navigation software. Sygic, Google Maps & Here maps software work fine. I really don't want to abandon Waze because it's now the worst navigation software on Android Auto!

   Gostaria de sugerir uma melhoria importante no funcionamento do app com o Android Auto.

   Quando conecto meu celular no carro e ativo o Android Auto, eu não quero usar o Waze na tela do carro, mas sim continuar usando o Waze normalmente na tela do celular.

   Mesmo desativando o Waze no Android Auto, o app bloqueia a exibição do mapa no celular, como se estivesse forçando o uso somente na central multimídia. Isso me impede de escolher onde quero visualizar a rota.

   Peço que avaliem permitir que o Waze funcione normalmente no celular, mesmo com o Android Auto ativo, quando o usuário não quiser usar o Waze na central multimídia.

7. Scale UI option for Android Auto

   Scale UI option for Android Auto. Letters are too big, any text blocks half the screen. It's a simple matter of allowing a scaler in options. 125%, 75%, 66%, 50%, that'd be more than enough to really improve usability.

8. Waze map on cluster screen (behind steering wheel) on Android Automotive cars

   Electric vehicles powered by Android Automotive from brands like Renault, Volvo or Polestar have the Waze app ready.

   However, the application only works in the main infotainment screen and does not replicate the maps in the cluster screen like Google Maps does.

   This is a big miss in order to use Waze instead of Google Maps, since it is very practical to see the map behind the steering wheel.

   We hope in a near future you can have access to cluster screen and replicate the Waze maps there.

9. BT, Waze audio message presilence and setting (secs)

   Please add presilence and related paremeter (in seconds) in settings for Waze audio messages.
   Beggining of Waze audio message is cut (around 2-3 seconds) if phone is not connected all the time to car bluetooth system and connects only during the message. For exampe I am listening car stereo system and waze connectes to car audio system BT only in case of message. This issue can be resolved by adding presilence to waze audio message and adding parameter in settings for the length of presilence (2-3 seconds should be enough).
   Currently as workaround I am using Xposed framework on rooted android phone to manage bluetooth message delay and it works perfect, but the same can be achived on any phone just by adding silence in front of waze message in app itself.

    It's important that to be able to view upcoming directions. I often use this feature on the phone to be better prepared on my trip. Suggested routes are not always clear just from their titles and it can be important to look at the directions for each route to make an informed decision. The fact that you cannot access ways on the phone when in the car makes this feature completely unusable even if you're sitting in your car prior to leaving on your trip or if you pull to the side of the road. I understand why ways wants to increase safety by making the app work exclusively through the car, but then all features need to be accessible. As it is I'm likely to turn off the Android auto feature or to choose another app. I hope you'll consider adding the ability to view upcoming directions.

11. Automatic start Waze when connect to car bluetooth (and turn off when blutetooth is off)

    Automatic on/ off waze when connect to paired bluetooh adapter.
    This is best way to have waze on when is needed in car.
    Leave the car - waze goes off.
    This bulid in feature have a Yanosik app (waze clone in Poland)

13. Notifications in Android Notification bar when Waze is in the background

    I would like to see an icon popup next to the Waze icon in the Android Notification bar when people send a Ping, comment to your chat, or when an event like police or accidents have been reported. This would be useful when Waze is in the background.

14. show song playing while navigating using Android Auto

    While using Waze on android Auto I would like to see what is currently playing, when using spotify or even on infotainment (Radio, XM, Ect.) There is a nice open spot at the top of the screen that could be used to display this info. I know that there is a quick popup when i change songs but would like the ability to display permanently.

16. Invoerbalk android auto

    Het zou wel makkelijk zijn om een invoerbalk toe te voegen ik de waze app op je Android auto applicatie zodat je een bestemming kan invoeren vanop het schermpje nu kan ik namelijk enkel mijn thuis adres en geschiedenis bekijken . De waze app kan niet geopend worden als mijn gsm verbonden is met Android auto een invoerbalk in de Android auto applicatie zou dus heel makkelijk zijn!

17. Search - Improve Results with Google Results (Android Auto)

    Often when searching for a full address in Waze, it at times produces a list of random street names of which the one you entered is often down the list for some reason... this is especially true when using Android Auto. On the phone, you can often click "Google" Results tab that will lock on the address right way but on Android Auto this is not an option...

    It would be nice if there was any confusion with an address or if Waze does not know what it is that they would automatically fall back to Google on Android Auto to quickly confirm and nativate to the required location...

20. New UI Android auto

    I use Waze in Android auto even when not navigating to particular point. I have it open all the time to see updates on the road such as risk, traffic or speed cameras :) After connecting wirelessly to Android auto I always get popup suggesting addresses where I want to go. I have to tap small X button to close because it is covering half of the screen. This is happening after latest update and it is really distracting when I already drive. Connection wirelessly to Android auto takes 15-20 seconds after start so I already drive. Not safe. Unnecessary pop-up.
