  1. Toads on roads

    In the spring – March, April – when driving along ponds, lakes or rivers, toads migration is observed on the roads. To reduce the death of these amphibians, Nature Conservation Agency is organizing the “MISSION TOAD” or "TOADS on ROADS" campaign in Latvia. It is known that WAZE could inform other drivers about animals on the road some time ago. But currently it is not possible to report it. Could this function be returned? It would be a great contribution to the preservation of natural values.

  3. Mute voice guidance near home/work‏

    Please have an option to mute the voice guidance in a radius of [X] distance from my home, and/or from work. Alerts should not be muted by this setting.

    It's annoying that I have to listen to voice guidance near my home -- I know how to get from my house to the main road, thank you very much! But turning the voice off and on again during the drive (during every drive!) is a nuisance and a safety risk.

    "Estimated TIME in Traffic Jam NN-minutes" message should be extended with jam distance, like "Estimated TIME in Traffic Jam 10 minutes in 3 kilometers"

  7. Use the telephone acceletor to get data about road quality

    Use the telephone acceletor to get data about the general quality of the road. I live near roads that your phone would be shaking constantly. The accelerometer can be useful to give an overall quality rating for each segment.

    Then waze could have an option prefer to choose good roads when routing.

  8. CarPlay reporting button

    The buttons to report “Still There” and “Not There” are stacked vertically in CarPlay, this leads to accidentally pressing the wrong option a significant number of times due to a badly timed bump. If the buttons were next to each other this wouldn’t be an issue.

  9. Fixed speed circle could be bigger

    Hi. I think the fixed circle that shows the maximum speed of the road on Android Auto could be bigger! Its really difficult for me to see the maximum speed of the road and I need get closer to the car display, what makes it dangerous while driving.

  11. Add Soundcloud as one of the music player options to make a navigation voice and music pause a seamless driving experience

    It would be nice if Soundcloud was added to the music player list. There's so many other options on there but that's only only one that's missing that commonly used. It would be nice if it was added so the music music can pause and resume or lower for navigation directions.

  12. "Stop running in the background" switch on iOS

    Hi. I found that Waze continues to run and use GPS and 3G signal while backgrounded on the iPhone. This is catastrophic in our country for two reasons: 1. It keeps the phone very hot. 2. it uses data at about 0.15 USD/MB, thereby ticking down your data and using up your money. You have to explicitly turn it off or explicitly quit the app. There should be a switch that says, and is by default, set to "Do not run or use data or GPS in the background".     When selecting a new voice it would be very convenient to have an audio sample play so we don't need to start a trip to hear what it sounds like.

    We plan to work on adding an option to hear Voice samples when choosing in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

    Hi. I'm finding it hard to find where I can change the default notification sound on my android. It would be nice if you could customise it with ie a revving engine

  15. Option to upload a picture previously taken instead of just taking them from within the client.

    I took a picture of an accident the other day. When deciding to report it to Waze right as I was passing it, I wanted to attach my picture but couldn't. Since I had just passed it, I also couldn't take a new picture.

    I think the option to attach a picture stored on the phone would be very useful.

  16. Voice commands when using Waze in Android Auto

    Please update Waze so that I can use voice to report hazards. When using Waze on my phone, I can report hazards via Google assistant but it does not work when using Waze in Android auto. I have to look away from the road and touch screen 3 different time to report a hazard. Very dangerous

  17. Dead animal option in hazards

    There have been several times where dead animals have been described as "objects". For example, today I saw someone's dog who had died on the road was described as an "object". As someone who is very upsetted by dead animals, I would like there to be an option for "dead animal" so I know not to look. I know there used to be an option for it, but now it seems to be gone.

    Please reinstate the "Police on Other Side" feature. Reporting speed traps is the most useful reason to report police, and traffic moving in opposite direction will always be better suited to identify and report.

  20. Ford Sync integration

    Later this year, Ford will release the APIs for integrating apps with vehicles that have Sync. Waze could use the vehicle's on-board GPS, speedometer, and other data instead of running the phone's GPS.
