  1. New Permanent hazard: Check-point

In many countries, fixed check-points are installed on the road. It could be done by Police, Customs, Tax services, Weight check... and even borders.

It would be great to have those marqued on the map as permanent Hazard " Check point". It has basically the same effect of a toll booth: You often need to stop there, or a least drive through at a very reduced speed.

This would be a great safety enhancement for both drivers and those manning those check points.

  2. Invert PUR Filter by type

With the latest release of WME, we can now filter place update requests (PURs) by type. There should be an option to invert the filter. By doing this, I can select one type of PUR and show everything except that type.

  4. Learn and adapt to sequential traffic light switching

In Germany, switching traffic lights in sequence is a common thing ("Grüne Welle" - green wave). At some intersections, it would be great if the sequencing pattern is recognized by an algorithm to guide wazers based on their position in the traffic light sequencing, i.e. that on a long straight, the signal to turn left is only active in the first 30sec after turning green.

  5. Suburb borders that add suburbs to segments automatically

Right now, every time we make a new segment on the map, we have to assign it to a suburb manually. Not only is this tedious, but it's prone to mistakes by editors, especially when editing near a suburb border.

But, in many countries, suburbs have a fixed area, and all roads inside that suburb's area will be part of that suburb.

If map editors were able to simply define the borders of each suburb in a state or country, then Waze could automatically assign any segment to the correct suburb, just by checking which suburb's area the segment falls…

  6. Show HN stop points for all levels

When viewing a road that is locked to a higher level, it is not possible to view the HN stop points. This makes it impossible to troubleshoot the issue without requesting an unlock that might not be required if nothing needs to be edited. Being able to view the stop point even when I can't edit would let me know if the HN needs to be changed before I request an unlock.

  7. Drive with your friend(s) or Family

You can drive with your friends or family if you have a 2 or more vehicle convoy. This means if you loose a convoy member, you can find them on the map, and then set a route. All while your original route stays in a queue. You can also sent your friend(s) or family the route so they can set it up on their phone, car play or android auto.

  9. Signposts and crossings

The possibility of adding signage points and pedestrian and cycle crossings, as on open street map.
Signage is often unclear, especially horizontal signs during road resurfacing work. It would be helpful if the navigator warned of pedestrian crossings and signals such as giving way and stop signs.

  12. Allow closing/seeing closures on red turns

    Why?
I got a UR with: from here you can only turn right.
    - I changed the wrong turns from green to red.
    - I would like to close the one I changed to have the change effective immediately instead of the next map update.

The same is currently possible for one-way segments (you can close the other direction).

  13. Dead End Signs

Very important to have a dead end sign on the map before heading down that street, since many times waze will recommend certain roads even though it’s a dead end. Hope this was helpful and becomes a feature. Thank you.

  14. Issue Tracker Option ~ Add ability to have Map Area and Managed Area at same time

We need the ability to have the "Map area" option selected along with either the "Managed area" or "Specific location" option selected.

    Why you may ask?

    This just happened to me.

I keep my settings as "Managed area" or "Specific location" so that I can work URs, PURs, etc anywhere any my managed area or State without being at a specific map area

Someone contacts me by chat for assistance in a location that is not in my managed area or specific location (whichever I have set) and I help them out. Reporter is a happy camper.

    Since I don't…

  15. Bring back pave roads

Bring back the "Pave Road" function in the phone app.

If this makes a lot of duplicate roads, even them out, or make it easy to remove the wrong ones/ keep the good one..

Also bring back the "Pacman-style road verification" that was here 10 years ago.

  16. Commercial vehicle restricted Roads

Rotherhithe tunnel in London is restricted. Commercial vehicles are not allowed to use it, but Waze always routes you through. People are getting hefty fines when they follow the guidance from Waze and if there are road closures on a usual river crossing, it always sends you through here.

I'm sure there are many commercial vehicle restricted roads that Waze routes you through, especially in London.

Please, PLEASE! look into having a commercial vehicle option. You've got motorbikes, private, EVs and taxis. How about you look after the ones that drive as part of their job.

    I hope this gets…

    Merci !

  19. Add map comments to the "All issues" section

It would be great to have all map comments in one place, and the all issues sections seems perfect for this. Include some filters like comment type (point, area), comment expiration date, comment creator (me, other), etc.
