Add On Road Hazard “slow vehicle”
We passed two vehicles going less than 50 in a 70 zone with their flashers blinking in the right lane. Allow to add “slow vehicle” hazard in road to alert truckers and others traveling the speed limit.

Blocking the APPROVAL or EDITS of a place if the corresponding label is off.
Now that the CREATION of a place if the corresponding label is off is implemented, the same principle should also be applied to APPROVAL or EDITS of those places.
Otherwise we can be adding duplicates to the map

Disable segment geometry snapping
We see some changes to geometry handles in WME, so here is another suggestion to improve it even more.
Why do we still have the road snapping behavior if two roads can't intersect together? This behavior is annoying when you try to edit an interchange with multiple intersecting segments, but the editor's snapping concept interferes with you.

Real Speed in WME
It would be nice if one could specify the real speed in WME. The official speed limit is sometimes much higher than the real speed one can drive on certain roads (road condition, etc). Having these too high speeds results in incorrect route calculations. One could say that the algorithm should fix this, but that doesn’t seem to happen and one gets slower routes offered, based on incorrect info. Tools from the competition offer an option to enter real speeds.

UR Reply via Email
This is slightly outside the scope of WME Beta, but in general about our ability to provide a better service for end users.
Allow users to reply to URs via email. Many support systems allow this, and in most cases, the process is fairly simple. The process might be as follows:
- User submits a request/issue from the app while they drive
- We (editors) get a pin on the map with submitted details as before
- User gets an email with a unique response email address (something like 8766123133@requests.waze.com)
- User gets instructions on how to view the map issue they submitted
- …

Thank you very much for this detailed suggestion.
Currently there is a lot of work around communication between the WME and the client (the app), to find how best should be handled. We will do our best to share some more details about it in the near future.
At this point this is currently not planned, and therefore won’t move to our back log.
If any thing in this direction will be changed, we will update accordingly.
Best,

events not visible
please let editors of all levels see events. Not seeing them leads to duplication and wasted time. Low-level editors like me can easily duplicate events just because they can't see existing ones. And by seeing existing one, locals might have additional ideas as to closures and such.

Rearrange RoadShields by moving the boxes with the mouse.
It would be really great, if we could move RS on WME. It's really tedious when you have to delete RS and search again just to change the order of them. How great would it be if we could rearrange the different RoadShield boxes by moving them with the mouse.

Permit Alphanumeric Prefix in RPP HN
App users can create RPPs with alphanumeric prefixes but WME allows neither the creation, nor editing of RPPs containing them.
Suggest at least allowing N, S, E, W prefixes on HN portion of an RPP to pass checks on save.
In Wisconsin, a large part of the state's addresses use alphanumeric HNs.

Allow all user levels to report closed or roadworks on map editor
I'm a level 1 map editor and when driving due to UK Law changes we can no longer use the phone while stopped, it would be an idea to add reporting of road closures roadworks etc, under the map editor similar to the points of interest when we get to our destination via a computer or the Waze app using a pinpoint.

Alternative house number
Often the house numbers are not exactly in order. As, for example, there was an update in the street number and some houses remain in the old number. Or even, the same street has the same number in different neighborhoods.
With this, Waze could allow alternative numbers which are house numbers that are not following the "correct" numerical order. Still, it could allow putting letters in the numbering, like "505 A", "505 B"...10 votes -
Correct the spelling of Marina del Rey, CA
Correct the spelling of Marina del Rey (California) in association with the 90 freeway. It is incorrectly spelled as Marina del Ray currently. It should be Marina del Rey.

[Request] Allow to make streets two way temporarily
Allow to make streets two way temporarily, like closures, but the other way around.
Sometimes construction works require you to open another street and turns. And you cannot do this in time by editing map. You can close the streets, but you cant OPEN the streets for some time. I mean one way or with restricted turns.
So we need an option to temporarily bypass one way setting and closed turns penalty. This may be called Openers :)By: Olestas

Improve error message for incorrect password
Whenever one tries to login into the editor (or any other site) and the password is incorrect, the error message is: "Something went wrong. Try again". It is suggested to add: "Check the Caps Lock and the Keyboard language setting". An even better idea is not to allow insertion of non-English letters, and warn the user while typing the password, and warn for all capital letters when the user clicks on Log in.

Allow applying A->B closures on B->A segments (and vice versa)
When selecting a one-way segment with a closure, and another segment without a closure, it is currently possible to select "Apply on all" to extend the closure to the second segment.
This only works if the second segment has the same one-way direction of the first segment.
When a segment with an A->B/B->A closure is selected, add a new option "Apply closure in any direction", which applies the currently selected closure as "both" on all additional selected segments.

calculated average speed of average speed segment
There are some road segments which have average speed cameras. Almost always the human beings unable to calculate average speed, so instead they simply don't exceed the enforced speed, the max speed, not average. In case if there are obstructions, slow vehicles, turning vehicles in the average speed segment, the real average speed may fall significantly below what was requested by Road Code rules.
Please add indicator of calculated average speed of passing of the current average speed segment36 votes -
Cropping tool for attached images
While adding images from the editor is a bad idea, it could be useful to have the ability to crop images. This could allow generally good image to be improved and kept instead of removed.

Low Bridge indicator on map editor
Problem I see there is no low bridge indicator on map editor if it could be added with height restrictions ...it would be a big problem solver for us truck drivers. Who drive around the cities all the time. I my self have tried to navigate around cities .with low bridges.. and it's no fun ...you truckies will know what I mean

Addition of a road type: Dangerous or Unsafe road
It is suggested to add one more road type: Dangerous or Unsafe road. This type will be used for example when it is a very steep or winding or bumpy road, or a road on the edge of an abyss.
The time it takes to pass the road in such cases is not the only parameter that counts.
It is suggested that the "penalty" for passing such a road will be proportional to its length. For example 1 minute for every 100m.144 votes
