2. Add the ford option

   Waze should add another option for ford, along with the existing ones: "Unpaved", "Tunnel", etc.

   In the Waze Map Editor, the editor could choose this option for the entire length of the road that passes through a body of water.

3. URGENT : Possibility to indicate a closed road on Android Auto

   Dear Development team,

   Can you please take this point as priority.

   I'm using daily Waze on Android Auto.

   On Android Auto it is not possible to indicate from the interface when a road is Closed.

   This is a very dangerous situation, when we are driving. As we are totally lost at this moment, Waze is then not able to recalculate, as it will recalculate a way to take the closed road.
   So while driving, as most of the time it is difficult to stop somewhere), we need to unplug the phone, launch waze, indicate the trip as it can have lost it, indicate then the road closed (if by chance, we are not too fare to still be able to indicate it). Then waze is able to recalculate the way and we can then replug the phone.

   On my worse trip (which happen 2 times), it was the motoway that was closed, I then did all this dangerous manipulation while driving in the wrong way. I then could indicate that the road was closed by following waze and coming back to the motoway entrance. Then Waze recalculates the way.... BUT it indicates me to enter on the motoway on the next entrance, but then it was also closed and had to make the same scenario, I was close to an accident this time.

   SO please, find quickly a way to indicate to waze that the next direction we have to take is closed.

   Another little point, many times, for motoway entrance for instance, or some road half closed, we can be a little on the closed road, when we try to indicate to waze (on the phone app), that the road we are on, is closed (I know it is not logic, but it is life). Then it is simply impossible, as we can only indicate it for the next road.

4. External providers: Also suggest places marked as permanently closed (with a proper mark)

   WME uses Google Maps as the external provider in Israel and doesn't suggest places marked in Google as permanently closed. Meanwhile, showing that the place is marked as closed in Google would hint that the place needs additional checking and possibly should be removed from the Waze map.

9. Make the WME Error Messages more user friendly

   It would be handy if WME was more detailed in all the error messages.

   Like it could at least take you to them so you can see what the issue is and also allow you to easily remove those edits causing the error if you don't have the permissions to make it or someone else has edited the element before you got to it.

   The warning notifications haven't really been touched since I started editing and a lot of the time they're not as helpful.

   User lukewsaunders even mentioned "for a beginning editor the warnings aren't very helpful and are too wordy, half the time the area it highlights isn't even the bit that's actually causing a problem".

   It would be handy if WME was more detailed in all the error messages.

10. Road Closure without Re-Routing

    When we are doing closures on inter-regional roads, particularly in Canada, there are routes where there are no alternate routes available. Or maybe there is an alternative route, but that alternate route exceeds the likely closure duration or is a day+ detour.

    If the editors, a partner, or even a data feed places a closure on these segments it will either

    a) break routing entirely - it simply cannot find a route
    b) find some route with unverified segments from the basemap import, which is an unmaintained/decommissioned road. (this isn't good experience - other apps like gMaps does this constantly).
    The desired/expected outcome of closures like this is to make the driver aware of the closure and that there isn't a detour and they either wait it out or u-turn on the highway [and seek refuge until it re-opens].
    c) Or there is an alternate route, but the duration to drive exceeds the time one would wait for the closure to clear.

    So right now we (editors) don't apply these closures, so it doesn't give some bad re-calculation. But noted the closure feeds, even from the auto-closure mechanism(s), they will apply the closures, that in turn lead to more driver confusion and having the editors constantly checking and removing them.

    But, it would be nice to have something visual to the driver.
    Can we get something like an attribute via the real-time closures that we can select to "omit reroutes"? Selecting this will keep the closure visible and alert the drive (probably require a new prompt?? IDK), but while it prompts and is visible, it does NOT re-calculate the route.

11. Show "Hidden" external providers like Yext

    Show that this data exists, so that editors will be more likely to merge than to delete.

    When new place points are added as part of a large upload from Yext or some other advertising aggregator, many editors will be likely to reject the new-place PURs because an already perfect place already exists.

    If they were aware that there was some other important information in the PUR, then they would be much more likely to accept the PUR.

    The back end data script reveals the existence of this data in places. But I don't think it makes sense to depend on all editors running this script all the time. The fact that this data exists should be clearly visible to all editors.

    Currently, the restrictions that are repeated annually are indicated as those that have expired with the yellow triangle.
    It would be very useful to differentiate the restrictions that have actually expired from those that are not currently active but are repeated annually.

14. Invert Coordinates in Editor (first Latitude, after Longitude)

    In Waze Map Editor the coordinates appear Longitude and Latitude.
    But in my opinion, this is stupid, because all Maps, GPS, Navigators use the opposite, first Latitude and after Longitude.
    I use the coordinates to search something in another map, and I have to reverse the coordinates.

    So, I suggest invert the coordinates in Waze Map Editor. Showing first Latitude, after Longitude.

    Create an option to add a note onto a PUR in the editor when a change is pending for a higher level editor to approve the request.

    There are several suggestions on being able to add reasons for why an update is rejected, but a method for the submitting editor to explain the reason for a change might be more effective in helping the senior editor make the decision to accept or reject.

    This can currently be done with a map comment, but often those arent noticed when reviewing the PURs in busy areas or will remain on the map if not deleted after review.

16. Incluir combustibles del vehículo y mostrar en ruta las gasolineras del combustible seleccionado.

    Creo muy conveniente poder elegir el combustible de tu vehículo y que mostrará las gasolineras en la ruta seleccionada, con un rango de "x" km para poder marcar la gasolinera y automáticamente recalcular la rupa para llevarte a repostar y seguir la ruta. En mi caso uso GLP (principalmente) y Gasolina.

    When there are multiple exits on a single road, presently you show only what the sign states ( ie: exit 23 ABC ). If I am to take exit 23 B it should state that at the beginnig not when I'm on top of it.

18. New suggestion subcategories: (1) UR Handling and (2) Management Tools

    Please add suggestion-box subcategories for (1) UR Handling and (2) Management Tools. These are critical aspects of the experience for all Waze editors. Strictly speaking they are somewhat separate from main WME functionality, so it would be more inviting to provide dedicated suggestion subcategories.

    UR Handling would involve all aspects of how URs and PURs are submitted and handled, including communication with UR reporters. Community Management Tools would involve Waze tools to support how new and advancing editors are contacted, informed, awarded greater responsibilities, or in the unfortunate but not uncommon case of difficult editor situations, contained.

    Please differentiate between visiting helpers/raiders and true Area Managers. At present, temporary map raiders and other visiting helpers are typically provided with editable area by granting them "Area Manager" status. As a result, community tools do not distinguish between visiting helpers and dedicated local managers. This can confuse editors, particularly beginners and visitors, who want to identify a true Area Manager for a region in order to open a conversation on local issues. It may also demoralize true Area Managers when the same status they worked hard for, and feel proud to have been granted, appears to be granted with ease to less-invested visiting helpers.

20. Temporary Construction Zone Restriction

    Per conversation on the editors discord, it would be nice to have a black and orange dashed line which would indicate construction zones in Waze. This way drivers would get an alert and know to slow down if there are any speed restrictions. In the WME app, users would be able to set these temporary restrictions up to what is allowed per their level. This would be done through restrictions field in the editor. A tab would be added in the restrictions editor to show construction zone information. For a user to set a construction zone on a segment or multiple segments, they would have to set a flag for construction zone from false to true. Then they would be able to enter information regarding the closure in a notes field. They will then enter the temporary speed limit as an entry field as well as a separate field to enter lane closures if applicable. This upgrade to the app and editor would provide better safety for Waze users and workers within a construction zone.

    Per conversation on the editors discord, it would be nice to have a black and orange dashed line which would indicate construction zones in Waze. This way drivers would get an alert and know to slow down if there are any speed restrictions. In the WME app, users would be able to set these temporary restrictions up to what is allowed per their level. This would be done through restrictions field in the editor.
