  1. WME External providers marked as Permanent closed as a Places Problem

    Many Places in Waze have a External providers marked as Permanent closed, and action needed to either remove it (if the places are permanently closed) or remove the problematic External providers link( if the places are active but the External providers link are marked as permanent closed).
    However, we as an editor are no ways to know if the External providers link are still active nor it is marked as permanent closed.
    So. can we have WME to detect those External providers link and trigger a places problems (something like map problems) for editors to check and fix the problematic…

  2. House Number Mode Delete/Trashcan

    With the new House Number editing mode, with the segment selected and actively editing house numbers, using the trashcan removes the segment and not the house number.

    If I'm editing house numbers, the house number I have selected should be the object deleted. This is not a consistent behavior across WME.

  3. Support optional "display name" specifically for Area Places

    The "name" field of an Area Place serves two completely separate functions. First, it seeks to form, together with the address, a unique search hit; this could involve a lot of text. But second, it displays on the app for everyone nearby.

    Most drivers probably don't care about detail in the displayed name; for them, excessive detail may distract rather than help. For example, in some countries editing conventions dictate that rest stops along freeways should have highly detailed primary names in order to make them useful search hits, such as:

  4. Ajouter un outil de signalement d'animaux perdus

    Bonjour, je me permets de vous contacter pour vous soumettre une idée qui pourrait rendre votre application encore plus attractive et qui pourrait rendre service à un grand nombre de personnes...

    Étant actuellement à la recherche du petit chien de ma sœur qui à fugué, j'utilise Waze pour vérifier les signalements d'animaux morts sur les routes (en espérant ne pas le retrouver de cette manière).

    L'idée est qu'il serait vraiment très pratique de développer une option permettant de signaler des animaux errants... Encore plus pratique, un service permettant de signaler aux conducteurs qu'un animal est recherché dans une zone précise…

  5. Let me create custom routes on the map editor, that can be pushed to my device(s).

    I know all the best routes from work to home and vice versa. Let me create those routes in the map editor then "push" or I can "fetch" them to my device(s). Then when I get in my car and open waze and asks if I'm going home or to work the first routes it pulls from are my custom ones, and creates a heat map list or something that I can choose from.

  6. 3000 modifications to reach level 2 !!

    I am disappointed to have to make 3.000 modifications to reach level 2 ... 25,000 for level 3 and 100,000 for level 4!
    It's a 24 hour job!
    At level 4 approval from the team and local experts is needed ... stupid!
    it's easier to get into the FBI!
    With my 56 edits that I'm so proud of ... I'm ridiculous!

  7. Blocking the APPROVAL or EDITS of a place if the corresponding label is off.

    Now that the CREATION of a place if the corresponding label is off is implemented, the same principle should also be applied to APPROVAL or EDITS of those places.

    Otherwise we can be adding duplicates to the map

  8. Improve handling of Routing Option for L1-L3 editors

    Editing segments with Routing Preference (or Routing Option) is only possible for L4+ editors.

    However, WME Beta and WME Prod allow L1-L3 editors to change segments with Routing set to Unfavored/Preferred (i.e. not Neutral), and only gives a very generic error message when saving. Which is rather unproductive.

    My suggestions:
    - Can we improve the wording in the error pop-up?
    - Can we add a warning similar to the one appearing when users select segments that are part of a Junction Box?

  9. Advertisment Error Handling

    Please change Paid Advertisement Handling to have them appear on the Map Editor after they have appeared and allow Editors to submit update requests that Advertisers need to acknowledge. The existing Google forms that are posted in the forum are worthless. I have submitted multiple forms for Kroger Ad issues around greater Columbus, Ohio that do not appear to have any affect. (Also, I have never received feedback on a report filed.) A month later another Ad shows up with the store still located 3 blocks away from its actual location.   10. WME - Allow to put and specify an estimated duration for mobile speed camera

    In some countries, there are, in addition to mobile and fix speed cameras, some "almost-fix" speed camera : these speed cameras are placed on the roadside for a period of several days (one or two weeks) before being moved elsewhere for the same duration.
    It would be good in WME to provide these types of radars with an estimated duration (and for example to cancel them if there ane any confirmation during a period of 24 hours).
    With the present system, police alert are to short and fix camera reported in WME is not the right solution.

  11. Map Editor - Change level restrictions/level tiers

    Hi,

    Currently many roads cannot be modified by level 1 editors(my case), in some cases you need even level 4 for highways. So when voluntier senior editors cannot be as active as they were in the past the maps are getting less precise time by time, and issues are not fixed/replied as soon as we would like.
    The solution then is to grow our level but... for a level 4 I need 250,000 editions! This number is even more difficult to reach when an area is well completed and the only changes requested are to keep it updated.

  12. Truck restrictions

    I know that in the past this option has been recommended and the staff has rejected it, but I want to approach this question of trucks from another perspective.
    Why not create a restriction for trucks in the permalinks as currently exists for taxis, motorcycles, electric cars etc ... and that in the application for users in the vehicle category, the option "truck" is also created. We as editors mark the permalinks with restrictions for these vehicles and the user who chooses this vehicle option in the application will have a more accurate navigation.

  13. Please add traffic on map when not navigating so that we can see traffic like Google maps does.

    Please add traffic onto map when not navigating so that we can see traffic congestion like Google maps does. I tend to just open Waze for traffic issues and police and hazards when driving to work everyday because I don’t need to navigate to work normally.

  14. Improve comments from other users on Closures and Reports

    When other users comments on Closures and Reports I have submitted they show as a pop-up in the app and then disappear, forever! These comments are nowhere to be found. Not in the app inbox, not in my e-mail.

    The only way to reply is to find the closure or the report on the map. But for an L5 editor like myself who puts dozens of closures around the country every week, that's useless.

    Can you please improve how these comments are handled?

  15. Possibility to adjust fuel prices with WME.

    More and more gasoline prices are no longer kept up to date by Waze users. To ensure that people in my region can see the current prices at the gas stations, I now enter these via the app. This takes a lot of time. I would like, and many others probably with me, the option to enter these gasoline prices via WME.

  16. WME Planning Mode

    When handling new road construction or reconfiguring existing roads, junctions, interchanges, etc. it would be beneficial to have a "planning mode" where the changes could be planned in advance but not added to the live map until the construction is finished. Currently, editors must carefully preserve existing routing while mapping the new segments.

  17. Inherit custom turn instructions on unnamed segments

    When a turn includes an unnamed segment, and a custom turn instruction is used - including addition of shields in the instruction- the custom instruction must be duplicated at both the unnamed segment and the final turn. This makes a long edit with numerous clicks even longer and tedious. Please inherit custom turn instructions in the same way that segment names are inherited with default instructions.

    Touristic Routes

    In my country, Portugal, as in almost all countries, we have beautiful places to visit, cities to see and, for that, among the various means of transport that we can access, of course, the motor vehicle is one of them... and for that, you need a road to drive...

    When we are on vacation for example, we want to go and visit these places and we map routes, marking it in a diary (or something similar) what we want to visit and see...

    Add state filter to the UR feed

    To be able to focus on editing a state, il would be good to be able to filter the feed mainly when managing a country or multiple states.

  20. Markers for Emergency Service Stations

    An awesome addition to the waze map editor would be the addition of emergency service station markers and permanent building markers / icons with two types for example:
    Emergency tap (single tap on any of the icons will add it to your route)
    - Hospitals (Marked with a red and white "H")
    - Police Stations (Marked with a house shape outline & a badge inside)
    - Fire Stations (Marked with a house shape outline & Fire Axe or fire truck inside)
    Passive Icons
    - Schools (that have a highlighted zone area around them when route passes though and an alert…
