1. Adding prohibited signs

   Is it possible to add prohibited signs like no left turn no u turn or right turn no left turn/u turn signs so people would know where to turn and stuff so that way they’re not lost and confused and that includes durning specific times like 7am-4pm Monday through Friday for example at an intersection that does not allow it on the map display wether it’s on your smartphone or in your car infotainment system because a lot of new cars these days have wireless apple carplay and android auto and I would like it if it alerted you ahead of time so that way you get a head start and not slam on the brakes all of a sudden at the last minute

2. Speed monitoring for verbal alerting on fixed camera

   There is no verbal alerting for fixed camera. I also noticed that Waze checks the speed of my car about 250 meters before the fixed camera. Afterwards, there is no longer a monitoring of the speed (during the last 250 meters before the camera). Therefore, if the driver increases the speed by lack of attention i.e. because he missed the message displayed on the Carplay screen, he becomes exposed (it was my case …). Would it be possible to develop the following improvement (as being an option in the configuration).
   - Monitoring of the speed during the last 250 m before the fixed camera
   - Verbal message “announcing the fixed camera” if the speed exceeds the speed limitation

3. Notifications - Moving modal and/or providing users with ability to "X" out of notifications

   In Apple Carplay, Waze notifications pop up and push the directions modal into a small bar with no information except what kind of turn and how far away it is. It removes the worded directions and has made me miss my turn plenty of times. There is no option to "X" out of the notification, only answer "Still there" or "Not still there", but what if I haven't reached the area yet so I can't accurately answer the prompt but need to see my directions? As someone who drives with the sound off in Waze, I'm requesting to provide users with an "X" in the top right of notifications modals and to either move the notifications modal or make it smaller so I can read the directions.

4. Make it work

   Ever since Google bought it, Waze has become less and less reliable. I use it, or try to use it, with Carplay and it gets confused on interstates and lost on secondary roads. I often have to pull over and turn the car and phone off and restart both when making a trip I make very often. I tried to check a route using the web site and it finds the starting pointing and destination, but then just spins and never figures out how to get there. I end up using other navigation apps. I don't know what Google has done to ***** up a perfectly good application, but I wish you could undo it. I used to recommend Waze. No mas.

5. Add a wireless OBD2 sensor for additional vehicle safety information

   Suggest adding a wireless Bluetooth OBD2 device (BlueDriver or OBDLink MX+) so Waze can access safety features from your vehicle such as:
   1. Blind spot warning
   2. Accidental lane departure
   3. Show when turn signals are on - for those that forget - optional beep after 5 seconds and before my wife says “YOUR BLINKERS ON!!!”
   4. Etc.

   Option - For lane departure and blind spot warning above - when the two are triggered the Waze display or the hud display below could kick in the appropriate mirror camera video (if the vehicle has mirror cameras) so you see the situation at hand without needing to jerk your head around. And if both are triggered at the same time the mirror camera image could add a red bar across the top of the image.

   Accessing an optional Bluetooth OBD2 sensor would also give Waze an accurate vehicle speed so that issues such as the CarPlay/Ford speed discrepancy could be fixed without calling the vehicle manufacturer into play for a solution.

   If there was a display mirroring option to use our phones as a heads up display or if
   Waze this could be linked to one of the new TFT full screen heads up display projectors then all of the important gps and safety information could be displayed front and center for the driver.

   I drive a big 1 ton dually and the vehicles around me are my primary concern and keeping my eyes on the road is essential

   Every aftermarket Heads Up Display on the Market is Lacking in showing safety features and none have the strength of information that Waze has. I believe combining all these features along with the latest HUD Technology would make Waze the best vehicle GPS and Safety device on the market.

6. Make pop up navigation banners informational only

   Please add the option to make navigation pop-up banners in CarPlay informational only, and not only an active selection option. Too frequently when I am trying to select something while in the Music or Podcast app (previous track, pause, jump ahead, etc.), the Waze banner keeps incessantly popping up with a navigation direction, and when I think I am selecting an option in the Music or Podcast app, it then selects the banner, taking me to Waze on my car display. In the most ideal scenario, I should only be looking at my screen for a very brief moment to find the option I want to select and then look back at the road. But I have to keep trying to get rid of the banner so I can select what I wanted to select in the first place. This creates way too much distraction while driving. My car display does not allow it to be a touch screen while driving, so the only way I can select anything is using the joystick knob in my console. I don't mind the banners popping up. I just don't want them to be selectable. I have a Mazda 3 and I am using an iPhone 8 with iOS 15.

7. Record audio while reporting an issue (and convert to text?)

   When I'm using "report an issue" functionality in CarPlay/while driving, I cannot type what the issue is about. Later, when I'm asked by some community member what the issue is about, I have to recall what it was about and there were cases that I forgot. The issue categories got narrowed so we can't pick the exact issue while reporting it (I don't understand the removal of speed limit issue - the most common issue I'm reporting!).

   Since Waze has access to my microphone, I was thinking that maybe a short recording could be made after I report an issue with the map (optionally). This way we can leave a note to the person who will take care of the report. A transcript will do to! I'm open to suggestions.

8. Afficher systématiquement les prochains changement de direction sur l'écran de voiture

   Bonjour,
   Actuellement chaque directive de waze (changement de direction...) est affichée en haut de l'écran (dans un rectangle noir) pour compléter les indications de guidage sur la carte. Lorsque que la directive suivante est située proche de la première un second message s'affiche avec les mots "puis ensuite ...".
   Ma suggestion est d'afficher systématiquement la seconde et éventuellement la troisième directive à suivre (puisqu'il y a de la place en dessous de l'écran, surtout sur un écran de voiture).
   Il est vrai que la liste des directives s'affichent systématiquement sur l'écran du téléphone (avec les distances intermédiares) lorsque ce dernier est connecté (en carplay...) au véhicule, mais la lecture du smartphone n'est pas aisée et devient imprudente. Une solution transitoire serait de fixer le smartphone à côté de l’écran de la voiture...
   Je justifie ma demande car dans certaines situations, 2 directives affichées sur une courte distance ne suffisent pas à anticiper !
   D'autant plus que la lecture de la carte ne permet pas toujours d'être informé d'un seul coup d’œil.

9. Add point of interest POI for future

   Basically i was driving in a new city and i passed by a building that looked interesting that had a nice looking restaurant, i couldn’t read the name of the restaurant because i was blocked by a bus, this is when i wished i had an option to just add a POI through Carplay by the (what do you see) menu, and when i get home the app would remind me that i added a POI so i could search it up and come back to it later.

   When you pass by a place you find interesting and would want to come back to you should be able to
   Just do it fast through car play through the (what do you see) option, so adding a (point of interest) to the existing options so you can come back at a later time and even get a reminder from the app if you’re close to a previously added POI or whenever one of your saved POIs are on the way to your destination so probably get a message like (a saved POI is on your way, would you like to add it as a stop?).

10. Screensaver

    In Ontario/Canada as per Highway & Traffic Act, it is illegal to use smartphone/device without hands free operation, and police have stated that submitting status info on apps such as Waze is illegal as per Act and grounds for ticket for not driving “hands free”. Fine for doing so (and using Waze) and distracted driving is currently over $600-800 and 3’demerit points.

    Of course I observe police cruisers driving with hands on computer console violating traffic act.

    It would be great to have a screensaver (blank screen or other) that could be quickly toggled on Waze display (phone and/or CarPlay) that displays black screen or other “normal” screensaver/image. Could be an invisible button on area on screen or HOLD button for report, as example. Pressing area again at later time would revert to normal operation

11. Caravan Mode / Follow Me Mode

    I've been thinking in a new mode for Wazers... I've been driving with family along the road in different vehicles, not once we've been able to keep the same speed or pace and we end loosing sight of where the vehicles are. In Mexico safety its a very important matter, and everytime we are not able to see where the other cars that are driving with us we call them or text them to see if everything is fine. I imagine a Caravan Mode in which multiple Waze accounts are linked for a trip and you can watch the vehicles listed in the CarPlay in a vertical sideway explaining things such as: amount of vehicles in the caravan, distance between one and another, if the vehicle is moving or stopped. Every vehicle will be able to post some special status, such as: Stop we are OK, Back on driving, SOS, etc... if we have this status next to the regular Waze display we will assure calm on everyone because we all will have visibility on where are the remaining vehicles and the distances between the next one. If the caravan is loosing the last vehicle someone can reduce the speed to accompany the last car. Everything to make it happen its already in control of Waze, speed, location, etc. It will make driving so much safe and with more detail on the other vehicles on the journey

12. View a route in steps display color

    PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make/create a way for Wazers to customize colors, icons and text sizes that work for them!!!
    I have to use the Waze app. My display screen shows the map but in order to view the route in steps I have to use my iPhone. I have CarPlay, I don’t have a touchscreen, and I don’t have built in navigation system. The major issue is the inability to customize the background color, text color and the color of the icons, example: exit number, route number etc. by each step. The only options are a black background with white and dark blue text or a white background with black and dark blue text and the icons are the same color for each. Since there’s not enough contrast between the colors and not able to adjust the text and icon sizes everything blends together and is a little blurry to read.
    I have checked every setting on my iPhone, I’ve tried changing color, size, zoom, contrast setting, I did a google search a way to change color settings too. Nothing I did worked. Wazers can customize their screen for driving during the day or night.

13. Navigation Info Obscuring ETA on I-285 West in Atlanta, GA (Exit 61 – Airport)

    Hi Waze team,

    I’d like to report a usability issue I encountered while using Waze with Apple CarPlay. When driving on I-285 West near Atlanta, Georgia, heading toward Exit 61 (Airport / Domestic / Atlanta / Montgomery / Columbus), the navigation panel becomes too large, displaying an extended list of destinations and road names.

    In this specific case, the upcoming turn involves I-85 South and multiple destination labels, causing the black instruction box on the left side to expand significantly. This box completely blocks the estimated time of arrival (ETA) and other useful trip data, making it impossible to see when I’ll reach my destination without closing or waiting for the box to change.

    This happened while merging onto I-285 West, approaching the exit for the Atlanta Airport.

    Suggested Improvement:

    Please consider updating the interface so that:

    The ETA remains visible at all times, regardless of the length of the turn instruction text.

    The instruction box could be scrollable, collapsible, or redesigned to avoid overlapping key travel info.

    This issue affects driver safety and planning, especially during long trips or complex interchanges where multiple destinations are listed.

    I’ve been using Waze for quite a long time, and I truly appreciate the quality of your map service. It’s very user-friendly, thoughtful, and considerate, especially with its strong focus on driver safety. Even speed bumps are clearly alerted, which is impressive.

    There are a few improvements we hope you could consider to make Waze even more widely used, helping more people travel safely and conveniently:

    1. The Waze icon may feel cheerful, but it should also look more professional and clearly represent a navigation or map app. The current icon feels a bit too childish and doesn’t seem related to maps or directions at first glance.

    2. Please consider working with Apple to enable navigation directions to be displayed on the car’s HUD when connected via CarPlay.

    3. A satellite view mode would be very useful, as it provides a more realistic and familiar perspective.

    4. Please add voice alerts such as “You are exceeding the speed limit” or “Please slow down” for speeding warnings. Simple alert sounds may not be noticeable enough, and drivers could unintentionally exceed the speed limit and face heavy fines.

    We look forward to seeing these improvements in the near future.

    In dual screen mode (main screen and small screen above steering wheel) show on main screen the whole journey from current position to the destination (the same as Google Maps do). Right now main screen only mirror small view in a different scale.
