Route ideas
Can you make a setting where you can change the route suggested done by the distance rather than the amout of time it takes

Route color change after we past it
As we all know, from route planning to until we get to the target, the track color is the same (purple by default).
The problem is that the section we past and the section we are going to is in the same color.
Since the software can identify the direction of motion, I suggest that every section of the planned route that we passed will return to normal color of the map or will fade to make a Separation from the section which you are traveling to.

Waze share route problem
Good morning everybody! My Waze isn't working correctly on share route resource, redirected from others apps. I use apps for Driver like Uber and 99 Taxis. When I receive a new route, the app redirects to Waze, but with problem. My Waze not showing the vehicle, names of street and arrive point. I've printed this.

I'd like to have the option best route, which chooses either freeway or avoid freeway without having to toggle this on and off and then only having that option

Improving on route and more functions.
I been using waze daily for work as uber driver. There is time can be annoying when waze divert me to another route which is less traffic and mileage is far than origin route. This may cause additional cost on the fare and some riders may not feel comfortable if any route change. My suggestion to waze is have a option for waze as below:-
1) Option to ignore traffic jams so we can maintain current route without any diversion to other route. Let waze user to choose to stuck in traffic or find alternative route. :)

Big route previews showing all trip
When i select a route like Portugal - Switzerland the route preview doesn't show all route at once but i need to navigate to see. Can you add all route at once and then zoom with fingers?

Expose detailed route data on Web dashboard
It'd be great to have specific route times-of-day - not just duration. It would be very useful to compare routes, or the same route, over the course of the day. Perhaps I could learn when would be the best time to start my commute.

Reverse route ahead of time
I would like to be able to plan a reverse route ahead of time. This way I will have an idea in advance when I should be leaving my destination to come back home.

Route info for drivers eligible for the Commute (HOV) lane.
When giving route info do you take into consideration wether commuters are eligible to use the commute (HOV) lane. Some commute lanes require 2 or 3 persons per vehicle. We were traveling form Palm Springs to Redwood City, California, and were diverted to an alternate route because of traffic conditions. We were not sure if the commute lanes
were also full.4 votesThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

Display route with toll and no toll
When navigating to a place, display on the map the route with tolls and the route with no tolls. Having to turn on and off the avoid toll to compare both routes is an extra step that can be eliminated when planning a drive.

Auto Calculate the total cost of toll of the travel, and present in the route choices
It is easier for the user to choose the saving cost route, to avoid unnecessary extra cost for entering and exiting some unnecessary toll

'SAME ROUTE NUMBER'
introduce 'SAME ROUTE NUMBER'... i'd like to ride Route 64 from NC to AZ, and stay on that route all the time, is there any way to do that? i've riden Rt 82 & Rt. 84 and it's nice to see the entire length of a specific road... i'm also contemplating Rt. 1 from Ft. Kent, ME to Key West, FL at some point... please help...
i ride a motorcycle, and find WAZE to be fun & useful, but sometimes it will take me to 'not so nice' areas...1 vote -
End route at end of closed segments
When the destination would end on a segment that is currently closed the route ends on the next closest segment (that isn't closed) which in many cases is a road in the back of the property where there's no access to the destination.
Consider ending the route at the last node that is not closed on the route - at the node the closure ends/starts.

Fastest route regardless of toll fees
Currently Fastest Route takes toll amount and distance into consideration. Many times, better routes with much higher tolls + a longer highway detour is in fact faster.
While there is an option to opt out of tolls, there is no way to have the "Fastest" route regardless.
Fastest should mean really the fastest and not "according to what Waze thinks people might want".

Choose time of reports before calculates the route
The ability to choose what old time has to be a report to be considered in my route. For example, if anyone has reported that last hour was traffic on a road, it is not said that there is even now, indeed probably there is not traffic now and so it is not necessary to calculate an alternate route. So it would be useful to have a possibility to set a parameter that filters on what must be a recent report so to be considered eg. in the last 30 minutes, in the last 15 minutes.

Change route colour
You recently changed the colour of speed cameras on display from green to blue, and if you use the dark mode, like I have always done, the route colour is also blue, and therefore the speed cameras are barely visible! This is total nonsense! Please allow to change the colour of the speed cameras or the route.

An option to switch on the screen a second map view showing the route with zoom out
It could be a good idea to have a switch on/off option of a second map view (in one corner of the screen) to see simultaneously the route from higher perspectives (i.e., a zoom out view), in order to acquire information regarding where the Waze would direct us, which roads, after every recalculations of the optimal route.
