1. Routing quality has plummeted after the Google acquisition - please get it back in shape!

   I am a passionate Waze user who has converted many friends to the app, and has become a top 4% reporting contributor (I don't participate at all in any other gamified apps or websites). But now my support is waning fast.

   Ever since Google bought Waze, routing has progressively become worse and worse. I initially switched to Waze because Google Maps routing had become horrible - inefficient routes when there were obviously better ways to go, etc. Waze does awesomely creative things like telling me to get off the freeway at an exit then immediately hop back on - Google never ever did that!

   Now Waze is infected by the same disease and I want to cry, as I live in a traffic-snarled Texas city and in the past Waze has saved me so much time – I don't want to lose my helpful friend!

   For example, a route I take 3 times a week stopped defaulting to or even offering as an option the path I always take (initially taught to me by Waze, and incredibly traffic-resistant and consistently fast). Instead, Waze gives me 3 often-traffic-snarled-and-unreliable options.

   In other spots in my home city, on a road I drive with Waze active 3+ times a day, Waze tells me to veer off the usual path on a new road that just got built. It thinks this would be faster, but it is obviously a poor idea, in addition to not being something that should be shown given how much route-training I've given Waze over the past 9+ months (100s of trips).

   Also, when I've been traveling recently, Waze has given me horrible routes, routes that were obviously bad even to someone who'd never been there before.

   I've tried reporting routing errors via the report feature in the app, but Map Editors have responded that they have no control over the macro issues I have reported. As well, it takes too much work to report micro issues, such as the consistent issue 2 paragraphs up with the single road I often drive. Map Editors don't see exactly what I see in the app nor my routing options (they said they see very little info).

   I first loved Waze because it was creative with routing, and then I became a top 4% user, and now I have no idea what to do....

2. Recognition

   I was driving southbound on I5 this morning I received an alert of an animal on the side of the road. I have never been so angry. A black man was standing at the Woodburn exit. I was sickened and so very sadly angered. You need to fix this! He is a human being! I’m not sure how this happened but it is not ok. I will be deleting my app and telling my friends yo go the same. There is absolutely no excuse for this. My hope is there were no black peoples using Waze at that time. I’m just sick about this! Fix it NOW!

3. Flight times

   I would like to post an idea about flights. I thought it could be helpful for myself and for others. I live in Indiana and often drive to O’Hare airport in Chicago to pick up family and friends visiting, or to get to the airport to catch a flight myself. It would be nice if in the “plan a trip” you can enter a flight number and day of flight so that it reminds you when to leave like other trips that you plan based on the flight information. Have an arrive for a flight option or pickup option so you can choose how early you want to arrive

4. Work

   I’d like to request multiple work place favorites along with 2 Home favorites instead of only ONE Home option currently available. ‘Home’ or ‘Work’ is simply name. Users could call them anything they wish. But for easier navigation sake, to be able to save with more than just one HOME or one WORK, the obvious merits are flexible user experiences. By the way, does WAZE necessarily restrict users to only one Home and one Work? Is there more inconvenient or anything to lose if more homes and work places are possible? They could be your friends’ homes, siblings’, relatives’, etc or different work sites, stations, business branches, etc.

5. Make your ability for me easy to communicate to.

   I love WAZE. I don't like not being able to have an account. I have signed up, I get your FB posts as well as emails yet, I am not able to communicate when on the road. Today I asked for the ability to create a new password. You send a link. I complied. Showed I was successful, yet when I go to my dashboard - I don't exist. Come on, you are better than this and I am no computer dummy. I am ready to quit and find something else and tell everyone of my friends in the process. Make your process seamless and user friendly. 6. game mode

   Nothing to do with your friends friday night?
   Game mode on wazer will change video games in real life.
   Ideas are there, the base of the game is there, we just need to create it.

   Game #1 Cat and mouse
   4 players, 2 wazers, 2 cars
   (2 drivers, 2 co-drivers)
   Intro:
   The goal of the cat's team is to find the other team (mouse) in the city. Each teams can find power in the streets (change candies in power). The mouse try to escape the cat in the city (folowing speeds limits) but don't know where it is. Mouse team only know that cat team are at (example: 3 streets left). But cat team know exactly where the other team is. To win at this game, the co-driver of the cat's team only have to press buton: I see you or take a photo.
   More:
   Now, the fun of the game begin and the co-drivers plays.
   The cat team can find power on streets (like candy for now) to slow the opposite team:
   When the cat find this power in the city, the other team have 60 seconds to find a spot to stop the car completly while 30 seconds. If they can't, they loose.
   The mouse's team can find power like this too:
   -1) The other team can't see them in the map while 60 seconds.
   -2) The other team only know your distance while 60 seconds.
   -3) The other team can only see you without the map.
   -4) Hologram mode. The other team see three mouse in the map. The real and two false who take differents way. (while 2-3 min.)
   Finaly:
   Before playing, the players delimit a space to play. If somone leave the territory, they loose.
   While playing, the other wazers can help to find the mouse when they enter in the game space and want to find the car. They have a picture and descrtiption of the car.
   To press button: I see you, you need to be at less than 100m of the mouse.

7. Editing maps

   You need to allow all users to edit maps with speed cameras and the like. Sure if you want to maintain a basemap that your power tripping editors want to keep, fine. But I should be allowed to overlay speed cameras and the like if there is a disagreement by how a local editor deems them necessary or not. You don't want to add it to the basemap? Fine. But I should be allowed to add it to a map that I use or share with my family and friends.

   You also need a better reporting/dispute system that you can plead your case against local editors who think they own the map.

8. automatic accident

   If your car comes to a sudden halt or veers off course dramatically and unexpectedly, have waze pop up with a message asking if you have been in a accident. The message must stay for 5 seconds, and if you do not cancel it or press the "NO" button, it automatically alerts a nominated friend and sends them the last known location

9. Danger warning

   Hello wazer! I was sleeping and had a nightmare. I dreamed that I was driving a car with 4 more friend and all of them were in the back sit. I wasn't seen nothing in the road the light was week and was very dark for but all of my friends were seen clearly. I asked to someone to drive but none of them wanted. So them I decide to turn on my Waze to see the road on the app. But o was aprotching to a river and I a turned the lady on the app said: "you are aprotching to a river off the road be careful" but them my car drown. I don't know if the app have this warning but I think it's really cool if it have it

10. More privacy required

    I know about the anonymous option, but this is not my point.
    I would like to have the feauture to everyone to be only your nickname from Waze client, at maximum, to be shown. So, if you're logged in to Facebook, as I am, it won't appear your picture from Facebook or your name either; instead I would recommend to shown only the Waze emotion and the Waze nickname. To avoid any persuit, identity anything else that makes you easy to be track.
    So, only your friends will see your picture on the map and your name.

    It's not just an idea, it's an important improvement for Waze continue could and with more privacy, safer.

11. Do 'waze to friend', nearest location for both parties

    I wanted today to have my GF drop me something I needed.

    So I kinda had to scroll down in the waze map to understand where should we meet in order to make her and my drive as quick as possible.

    So, i just thought on this feature, if both parties using waze and agrees to it, waze will either A) Just give them suggestions for location that will minimize the driving time for both parties. B) Monitor online both parties until they meet, and update in the map, each one of the other's advances.

    Took me a while to gather a location that is the closest and fastest to meet for both of us :)

12. Various suggestions taken from other systems

    Hello everyone,
    after a period where I have been a passenger of friends and colleagues ( due to surgery   ) I decided to write down what, in my opinion, can be insights to further improve this navigation system.

    As a first suggestion ( I copy the idea from AmiGo ) is to make the indication of the speed limit and current speed more intuitive and readable by using colors inside the speedometer. The idea of verbally indicating the speed of speed cameras can also be very helpful.

    The second point I would like to suggest ( this time the idea comes from Apple Map ) is to display traffic lights on the map and use their location to give more detailed voice directions.

    The latest idea ( I don't remember the name of the application ) is to use the phone's camera ( if the phone is properly positioned ) with the ADAS and TSR algorithm to automatically update the map likes speed limits, closed roads, etc. 
    To be honest, this last function was communicated but I never saw it in operation.

13. Roles for Wazers

    Suggestion: I'd like to see users be able to select 'roles' so some users can be 'law enforcement' and others can be Dept of Transportation and such. This would require some type of 'vetting' by either using an official email or by requiring users to receive a minimum # of matching alerts (police roadside) at the same location as a wazer who has selected 'law enforcement). I have a number of cop friends who would love to be able to use waze while on duty and the public know where they are. I suspect this would also give other government type organizations more interest - think about your state dept of transportation being able to log on and 'close' a road for us.

15. Add address book labels for phone numbers when sharing trip

    I have recently shared trips with friends whose numbers I have in my address book, but numbers I wouldn't know. When I share my trip and search for my friend's name, I see that they have 3 phone numbers. Which one is their mobile? I have no idea! Why? because the numbers aren't labeled!

    I could pick one but I might be sending my trip to their work fax number. A lot of good that would do. The only thing I can do is exit the app, look them up in my address book, memorize their mobile number, re-enter Waze, go through the share my trip feature, look up my friend, and select the number.

    It would be great to have a simple label next to the phone number that echos what is found in the address book: Mobile, home, work, fax, etc...

16. Add the option to see another car live on your waze when you travel with a friend in different cars so in case you lose each others

    It happened to me I was travelling with a friend following each others and then we lost each others because of a traffic light, would be nice the add an option to share location to see each other's when you lose sight.

18. Feature Suggestion: “Group Ride / Buddy Mode” for Safer and More Connected Travel

    To the Waze Team,

    Good day! I am a longtime Waze user, and I truly appreciate how your app continues to innovate in keeping drivers safe and informed. I would like to suggest a new feature that I believe would greatly improve the experience of many users, especially those who travel together.

    I would like to propose a “Group Ride Mode” or “Buddy Mode” where users traveling as a group such as friends, families, and motorcycle convoys can see each other in real time directly on the Waze map. Many riders and drivers often travel together, and having this integrated feature would bring a big advantage in terms of convenience and safety.

    Below are the features that I believe would make this mode extremely useful:

    Proposed Features for Group Ride / Buddy Mode

    1. Real-Time Location Sharing
       Show the live position of each group member on the Waze map using icons or initials.

    2. Distance Gap Indicator
       Display how far each buddy is ( “350m behind,” “1.2 km ahead”).

    3. Re-route Notifications
       If a member takes a different route, the group receives a small alert such as:
       “Alex re-routed now 2.1 km away.”

    4. Group Voice Chat (Push-to-Talk)
       A simple walkietalkie style voice feature for quick updates during the drive.

    5. Group ETA Comparison
       Show the estimated time of arrival for every member to help coordinate stops and arrival times.

    6. Battery Level Indicator
       Notify group members if someone has low battery to avoid surprises when someone drops offline.

    7. Speed Status Sync (Privacy-Safe)
       Show simple speed indicators like: Stopped, Slow, Normal, Fast (no exact speed numbers needed).

    8. “Regroup Alert” Button
       Allows one member to send a signal to the group to slow down or meet at the next stop.

    9. Privacy Controls
       Group access via invite link or code only.
       Option for members to switch to invisible mode anytime.

    10. Emergency/SOS Ping
        A quick SOS button that alerts all members if someone stops unexpectedly or needs assistance.

    Why This Feature is Valuable?
    - This feature would be especially helpful for:
    - Motorcycle groups and riding clubs
    - Family convoys during long trips
    - Friends traveling to the same destination
    - Delivery riders working in teams

    Integrating this into Waze would make group travel safer, more organized, and more enjoyable, while also setting Waze apart from other navigation apps that currently don’t offer this level of real-time group coordination.

20. Safety road is follow one way circles

    FOLKS, PLEASE READ THIS IS URGENT.
    I have 20 years o driving experience, well my friends died on roads too.. Last time technical failure caused the truck in opposite direction lost its trailer. 80 + 80 = 160kmph = HE DIED.
    Therefore I have imagined how ie. distributors (PpL, DHL,UPS..) travel in circles... In general average, I better don't want to meet these guys in opposite direction. In mathematical model I want to minimize other Wazers passin by. I'd like to get SOME model applied in general and follow just because I am scared of front crash. SOME could be pretty much from existing data of "Avoid complicated left turns". Please navigate us to minimize passing by. Similar road arrangement can be seen ie. also on some festivals so it is not just a dream!! I prefer to come 10min late than never [+].
