The new waze alert notification is too similar to the sound of an alert the vehicle gives me.
The new alert tone sounds too similar to the alert the vehicle gives me when something is wrong. Every time it dings I look at my Guage cluster for a warning light. Please change this to something unique or revert it back to an audible read out to what's coming ahead. Alternatively, make it an option to choose different sounds in the settings

Posted speed trap alert
Many streets have built-in speed traps. You know -- the speed is 40 mph, and is a sensible speed for that road, but then for no reason it drops to 25 mph for a half-mile (and there's no school, residences, sharp turns, etc in the road). These are all about revenue generation for the local municipality, and not about road safety.
I would like to be able to report a posted speed trap on the map (and the map should be able to identify many candidates for potential posted speed traps), and then after Waze through some TBD process determines…

Additional sort function for petrol stations
Please add an additional sort function for petrol stations ‘distance off route’ as well as the current ‘distance’ sort function.

speed limit on roads + user defines "set max speed" alert/notification like speedometer bubble
Excellent recent update. Howerver, it would be such a helpful and nice addon where user can set max speed alert/alarm when it's reached. Plus posted speed limits on major roads/freeways.

Radar Alert for any car's velocity
I would to suggest that the radar alert works independent of the drive's speed. Sometimes you're close of the speed limit and there's no alert and you can get a ticket if you distract with something else.

Hello. i would like a simple cardless mode like camsam. a mode for what uses waze to go to work and which does not launch navigation. a mode where we would see the number of scouts and the distance of the next alert on the marked road

Alert Signal ahead
Dear Waze Team,
I strongly recommend adding voice alerts for upcoming traffic.
Traffic signals are placed even on straight roads with no intersections
The sunlight glare during peak hours makes signal visibility very difficult.
Pedestrian crossings and school zones have signals with no visual cues from afar
This feature would significantly improve safety, reduce violations, and help drivers who are new to the city or unfamiliar with signal placement.
Even a simple alert like:
“⚠️ Traffic signal ahead”

move hazard alert button
The hazard alert icon is in the lower left corner of the screen on my android auto waze screen. This results in taking my eyes off the road to reach it across the dash. If it were relocated to the lower left corner of android auto screen it would facilitate easier and safer access.

Increase the contrast / Change colors at the top + Larger alert when route changes
A couple of times I missed the change of route because the alert it too minimal. I drive with no waze sound, so I do not hear the change. I think this is a critical improvement because of the time you can loose when you miss the change. Thanks!

Verbal “Animal Alert” & Animal Icon replaced in app
Requesting update to app: 50 mile commute to & from work. High potential for animal / wildlife encounters & add a loss of connection for approx 5 miles during the trip. Would like an “Animal” icon to be placed back into the app & a verbal “Animal Alert” be announced the same way that construction, crashes, hazards & police, do so now. Add Average Speed Display Next to Remaining Distance in Speed Camera Zones
I have a feature suggestion that could greatly enhance driver awareness and safety:
Please display the current average speed next to the remaining distance when driving in zones monitored by average speed cameras.Why this matters:
It helps drivers maintain the right pace throughout the entire zone. Reduces last-minute braking near the end of the zone. Makes the driving experience less stressful and more controlled.Other navigation apps are beginning to include similar features, and I believe Waze can do it even better.

Clear alert off screen
When you have a report on the screen and I dont acknowledge it, can you please clear it out of the screen instead of leaving it on for the rest of my 45-minute drive? It is distracting, and by the time I press an option, it is not correct because I am way past that point. It is confusing, and when I want to report an alert, it gets in the way and won't let me send an alert.

On screen alert display time needs to be increased greatly when getting close.
Being able to choose “still there”or not disappears from the display long before one can confirm the alert either way.

Alert: Excessive traffic deceleration.
Irrespective of cause, unusually great deceleration of one vehicle is a hazard for the vehicles behind - at least on highways with average speed above that of city traffic.
Real-time alerts from the Waze system via our community of users may offer a unique opportunity to prevent (or reduce injuries and damage of) highway mass crashes.Various alerting criteria may be used e.g:
Client accelerometers (or GPS-speed time derivatives) indicating a deceleration greater than, say, the 80th percentile for that road (segment) or average speed level - established by Waze server statistics.7 votes -

Waze should not alert users about police presence
I suggest that Waze should not alert users about police presence. This would condone drunk driving and endanger personal and community safety. It will also make police enforcement more difficult if used by criminals. Remember “ Do No Evil”.

Speed Camera Alerts
It would be great if you could add a function for making the sound Alerts more prominent and repeatable ? not just a flash on the screen and maybe a spoken alert, the screen alert is easily missed whilst concentrating on driving, Maybe also be able to change the alert sound like in TomTom.
