  1. Improve contrast on the Navigation Screen

    The top of the nav screen in the daytime is black with blue and white letters. There is not enough contrast to see the words when looking into the backlight of a windshield. Google maps uses white on green which is much easier to see. Please fix this.

  3. The Waze screen keeps going black on my iPhone. Make it so the iPhone does not go dark when Waze is running and is connected to power.

  4. Keep the app from turning off navigation

    If you have the app open in the background, or while the screen is off or locked, navigation can stop if you are stopped for too long. This is beyond frustrating. When I am riding my motorcycle, I listed to the navigation on my bluetooth system. I keep my phone screen locked in my pocket. However, if I am stopped in traffic or at a stop light too soon, then navigation will completely stop. I have to stop, unlock my phone, and then when I open waze, it asks if I want to resume navigation. DO NOT…

  5. Search A Song option on main screen

    I listen to a lot of music while I drive - it would be great if it was easy to hit one button on main Waze screen to run a Google ‘Search A Song’ query and a playlist created somewhere

  6. App shouldn't close simply because I turn off the screen

    This not an idea, it's a complaint.
    I enter a route and it maps out.
    Seconds after I turn off the screen, the app CLOSES.
    This issue started last week.
    I seriously do not need the screen on the entire drive. What happened?

  8. Speedo onscreen when phone screen is dimmed / off to save battery

    I turn my phone screen off when on long stretches to save battery, and listen out for audio prompts and alerts.

    Please can the speedo, and possibly any alert icon, stay on screen in this mode while the app is running?

    Try to have all the numerical info set into expandable tabs on the left or right. Allow option for numerical info rather than white letters on black background to have the black be semi-transparent.

  11. Fix the arrow moving randomly to the centre of the screen.

    Recently, the arrow showing our location keeps moving from the bottom of the screen to the middle. It's a bug experienced by many users. When will it be fixed? The arrow in the middle blocks the view of the road.

    Thank you for your suggestion!
    The Report button was designed to be noticed while blending in and it’s important to keep it as is.
    However, we will revisit this idea when working on Dark mode, in the future. Furthermore, since this is a physical issue that OLED phones suffer from in different apps, we recommend to use Battery Saver mode to allow your display some rest from bright colors that might lead to this dysfunction.

  13. Event notification pop-up.

    Current event notification covers the majority of the center screen, obstructing view of where the event is specifically located. Adding transparency or moving to a ticker at the top or bottom of screen would be a great improvement.

  14. Make current speed, speed limits and warnings the largest images on the CarPlay phone companion screen

    Rather than next turns or route events shown on your phone screen when the maps are pushed to a CarPlay screen, can we have a large view of current speed, speed limits and upcoming road warnings instead (or as a third view option)?

  15. Auto dimming

    When not using a car charger, it would be nice to have an auto dimming option to save battery.
    This would work by automatically dimming the screen to almost complete darkness when on long stretches of road without any turns. As a turn approaches or for any alerts, the screen returns to the original brightness level. This will save a lot of battery.

    Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

  20. when rerouting, audio queue should be cleared at same time as screen updates

    Currently, if I do not follow Waze route, it quickly reroutes based on my new location - which is good.

    Problem is that whilst the screen reroutes quickly, waze continues to give its (I assume) cached audio instructions for the old route. I can travel 2 urban blocks with waze telling me to turn left at xxxx St and then turn right, and then the turn right at yyyy St - it can go through several instructions that are no longer relevant, and potentially confusing for drivers as they make no sense against the route showing on the…
