Plugins!
Instead of competing against other products and services, why not allow them to be PART OF (feed info into) Waze? Plugins, if you will.

Escort Live is a social driving program for people who use Passport Radars. Wouldn't it make more sense for everyone ("them" because they'd be able to enjoy Waze and its massive user database, and "us" because we'd get the real-time radar info?) if Escort Live was available inside Waze?

jetAudio music app
Ad jetAudio as music player on iOS. It's light years ahead of Apple -and Spotify music. Has tons of features and does not require internet connection especially where there is no internet connection in Africa.

CarPlay Final Destination
Please please please start making it where on Apple CarPlay the final destination pen is either on the left or the right where the final destination actually is because it’s always just on the right and that makes me think my destination is on the right but then when I look at the little flag icon that’s on the left that confuses me even more and takes my attention off the road

Bring back the report list on iOS!!
Please bring back the list of reports on iOS!!! I used to use that option all of the time, to decide which route I was going to take or see what I needed to watch out for, before I set out. Now I can only see what's going on when i set a route in the car to leave, which defeats my purpose of analyzing which way to go. I like to do this before i set out. Not the last second as I'm ready to drive. I use waze to travel long distances and I can't get a good…

iOS battery is being drained, maybe because of OLED support?
Waze app is crushing my battery. Maybe the ios X update for oled support is doing it but i can watch my battery tick down because of the app. And yes, I have gone so far as to isolate just waze working on the phone and nothing else...it is WAZE draining my battery

Neighborhood Watch Function!
It would really help if you could build some sort of neighborhood watch function Waze.So if you can make a group on Waze with other users (limited or unlimited) users would have to accept an invitation, administrators could be assigned.
Then, when Neighborhood Watch Mode is activated all users on the group could see where the other users are driving.
Nice functions that can be added is when Neighborhood mode is active and suspect activity is identified, the user could notify other active users at that time with a press of a button.

Wearos
Apk for WearOS so you can get directions and notifications just like how it works with Google. The app is great and awesome. I just feel having the integration with the watch would put it over the top.

Workers Present and Emergency Vehicles
Maybe add a report for highway maintenance workers present. And perhaps generalize police to emergency vehicle present to include fire and ambulance. Police watch the highway for more than just speeders. It’s not always a good idea for everybody (such as drunk drivers) to know about specific police presence

Use (AI) to Track Traffic slowdowns
Since most OS now are coming with AI, Google/apple etc. Use this info from the map as I drive, Speed indicator,Posted speed and GPS, use the AI to calculate slow downs, This should also be available offline.

Zoom - Reinstate the Capability
Waze zoom buttons no longer work but do using Apple Maps. This is as a result of recent Apple Carplay Template revision. Is Waze forcing users to move to Apple Maps for navigation for lack of zooming in the Waze app or will Waze revise the app to meet the Carplay Template Specs and reintroduce the zoom capabilities? Allow to user to decide to use zoom capabilities, not apple !!!!

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

More accurate "share your drive" with your Wazer friends
More accurate "share your drive" with your Wazer friends, please. At the moment it will update my location on map approx. every 2-3min but i would really like to see almost a real time location on map.
If you share your drive with non-wazer and he/she watch your journey via browser, it looks way better because my Waze figure moves on the map all the time. I assume this location is estimation based on travel time but it's still way better than figure which doesn't move at all or moves point to point every now and then.

put music controls on the waze screen so I can forward, back, pause and play my music whilst watching the waze screen
Please can you put music controls onto the main screen. I listen to my smartphone music in my car and it would be great to be able to fast forward, rewind, paus and play tracks whilst keeping the waze screen visible. Thanks.

CarPlay volumn
Hello
I am so grateful that Waze now works with CarPlay on my new Mercedes E300. I noticed that Waze will reduce the volume of other apps on my iPhone, so that I can continue to hear the other app in the background as Waze provides navigation.
However, Waze appears to connect to CarPlay via the car's navigation volume control while other CarPlay apps connect to CarPlay via the car's entertainment volume control. Consequently, CarPlay stops other audio while Waze makes navigation announcements.
Nice would be a optional setting in Waze for how the app connects to CarPlay, via navigation…6 votes -

Show the same traffic animation of the Waze App also on the Livemap
Every time I watch the traffic around me on the Livemap I'm bothered by the traffic jam indication.
In the app I like the animation which shows the direction of the traffic jam, the colours and also that the average speed is shown.
In comparison to that the solution of the Livemap is fairly ugly in my opinion. There are just little lines that vanish from time to time with different zoom levels. They are very pale and have no glowing colours like it's displayed in the app.
I'd like to see beautiful traffic jam animations within the Livemap.

Please bring back in app notification & icon that someone is watching our drive.
A couple of app updates ago we lost the written notification and icon on the map that shows that someone is watching our drive. Any plans to bring this back? When I send a link to follow my drive to a non-Wazer, it was helpful to know someone clicked on the link, particularly when coordinating a meeting spot and time. Please consider bringing this back!
