Don't allow Wazers that aren't actually moving click on the "not there" button for police reported. Cops are just clicking "not there."
I was informed by a police officer that they use Waze too, and just click the "not there" button as they sit there and clock drivers. If your vehicle isn't in motion, that icon should not be available, or some other idea to beat that. Thanks.

Transfer ride to fellow driver
As multiple drivers in one vehicle take turns, we would like to transfer the ride to the other's phone, and continue the navigation.
This is not the same as sharing the ride details, because then others can only follow the ride.

End navigation and announce "You've arrived" once a large site has been reached such as a mall or stadium that is clearly in front of you
Often we use Waze to get to a large site such as a mall or stadium we've never been to before. Once you are on the property, like the parking lot, it's very clear you are at the stadium and no further navigation is needed. However, currently Waze has some default "Destination Point" in these large sites that is arbitrary, and navigation continues even though you can see the site right in front you which can be confusing. Am I here or not? Why is telling me to turn right? Does it matter? etc etc. My suggestion is to have…

Remove the bell or “ding” noise for hazards and replace with verbal, spoken warnings
Spoken warnings are the old behavior for the app and they need to be replaced. Example - “Vehicle stopped on shoulder ahead.” Instead, there’s now nothing but a nondescript “ding.” The ding is jarring, and provides no useful information without me looking at my phone. I need as much information possible conveyed verbally because I am not always in the position to look at my phone. I’m baffled this functionality was removed.

"Hazard on shoulder" menu should include "Road crew"
In Massachusetts, road/highway cleanup crews on are always accompanied by a state police or sheriff's van. I would like to report the location of a road crew without having to tag it as a "vehicle stopped on shoulder" or "police visible" because neither of these options is very accurate. Can a "road crew" option please be added to the "Hazard on shoulder" menu?

Natural gas on Brazil
hello you all... so, I'm a brazilian wazer, and here we have another type of fuel, GNV, that means Vehicle natural gas. It's a kind of metano gas, we have a lot of reserves, it's the cheaper fuel that we have here.
so, I understand that the app cannot be changed just for one country. my suggest is that here, in brazil, at the end of the gas station, we can put the acronym GNV, and the other wazers that use this fuel can know that is a gas station that can supply that fuel32 votesGreat thinking! Reporting hazards with Siri using Apple CarPlay and Waze
Waze has possibility to use Siri shortcuts to navigate home, work or other destinations, as well as setting level of notifications. Please add possibility to report hazards like police, stopped vehicle on the road, road works, traffic etc. Using Siri, this would increase safety dramatically as a driver would not need to touch the screen for that multiple times.

I use waze with different vehicles so that the
personalized ETA is still wrong when changing from car to moped. Entering a maximum speed for my current travel or for each vehicle type would be very useful.7 votes -
Adding Roadside Animal detection system to Waze as a feature will help reduce animal roadkill problem.
Roadside Animal Detection (RADAR) systems – A computerized signs with flashing light stripped when an animal breaks a light beam . These can reduce collisions with large animals. These alerts and captured images can also be sent to different GPS apps like Waze, so that drivers coming by on that road can be alerted through their GPS apps and slow down when crossing that area.

Rotate vehicle direction of travel when plotting journey
Should be able to change direction of travel when plotting route. As a taxi driver I am often asked to quote a journey however waze assumes which way I am facing when plotting the route and this can sometimes add up to 2 miles to a journey. I would like to be able to press on the car icon and rotate it through 180 degrees to face the direction I want so it gives an accurate mileage figure

Setting the car’s direction when starting the app and navigation is a known matter which will be addressed in the future.
There are many complexities in location tracking which cause this issue and hold us from providing a solution.
It’s currently on the back burner, but definitely a part of the backlog. -
Gas running OUT Alert
waze should have an input DIOLOG were the user will intro his vehicle gas autonomy let s say my car will run 220 km on a full tank , when the vehicle riches 180 km waze will VOICE ALERT THAT REFILL MAY BE NEEDED and automatically will show nearest gas station

Disable face proximity sensor.
The face proximity sensor is enabled. Since I place my iPhone in the console of my vehicle, every time I move my hand down to perform an action, the display goes black. I have to gingerly reposition my hand before I can do anything.
I suggest disabling the face proximity sensor while in an operational mode. If necessary, you can enable it right before going to a phone call (if not speakerphone).

Offer the choice of motorcycle as the vehicle, because in the city we are faster than car.

I'd like to see driving less screens to go thru when alerting Waze of either Construction or Vehicle on Shoulder. They're my 2 most used hazards and as of now I have to go thru 2 screens to get to either of these hazard sheets, making me take my eyes off the road for a second. If I could just click on the bottom right and have those 2 options pop up immediately that would be great!

Support ODB bluetooth dongles
Allow the use of an ODB bluetooth dongle to get a number of improvements. These dongles are quite cheap and provide a wealth of extra data. Possible uses:
