Separate alert option for mobile phone and seatbelt cameras
Can you add a separate option option for mobile phones and seatbelt cameras? Many people also talk about this on Reddit, as I googled to see if this was an option I could turn on. Using the Police alert does not work as people do not see them and crowd-sourcing turns them off. Sometimes these cameras are mobile and sometimes permanent. It is such a money maker for the govt, I see one just got added onto lights where a road was upgraded. Having this pop up on Waze would be a reminder to drivers and therefore increase…

CarPlay synergy
When paired with a car play device the speed cameras on the map (especially on motorways) should be displayed similarly to the mobile version (with the blue circle) showing you exactly where the camera is located.

App display blocked by alerts
Railroad track alerts and red light camera alerts are blocking the ETA and routing info in the app. Force closing is only way to resolve which is not safe while driving

LIVE Number plate scanner, last known position of police vehicles.
A button to enable the camera to scan and track known number plates of police vehicles (possibly other wazers).
This can have a refresh time of say 10 sec and shows the next known position or simulate the police vehicle movement on the map. It just disappears when it loses the tracking but notifies users of recent police presence if you enter a road that had police vehicle on it in the last minute or so or within a certain distance.

Navigation
Hello,
Would it be possible that when navigating, the overview of the route with arrow and all traffic jams and speed cameras etc, this arrow moves dynamically and shows how far away the arrow is from the construction site, speed camera or traffic jam? This works very well with the Sygic app. I think that this feature would help many drivers to get a better overview. Thank you4 votesThanks for your feedback. problem!!!!Missing Section Controll Speed cameras !
In a lot of European countries you have speed-control via section-control, means:
the avgerage speed is measured of a certain distance by taking picture of car when entering and leaving the measuring section.
Unfortunatly currently you can not warn other users of such controls.
On contrary, such controls are only posted as stationary speed-control when entering, which is very misleadingI drive every day Germany swiss...500+ miles track . ( I deliver pockets)

Driver license plate scanning
While you are driving there are a lot of dangerous and crazy drivers, also drivers who has problems with their lamps and other electronics.
It would be great to notify them via your mobile phone. The system is easy, you scan their license plate with your camera and you can send a message to the car next to you, after the message the other driver has the chance to answer, then you can chose if you want to continue the conversation or not

Add missing information
During commuting lots of chages happening on roads so that users can add camera, permenant lane closures. Also during commuting live traffic at roads which makes useres to take alternate ways.

Can you alert people about Speed cameras sooner
Today’s mobile speed cameras can catch you one mile away, your alerts seem to be that or less and it just doesn’t give us enough warning.

Thumbs up and down
When you get a notification of a problem/thing on the road, instead of confirming by having to touch your phone, the camera starts up and you can show your real thumbs up (or up and down). That way, you can easily confirm without touching your screen. That way it’s safer and easier, wich can make the wazecommunity even bigger!

Stop alerting drivers to automated enforcement cameras.
When you alert drivers to upcoming automated enforcement cameras, you defeat the purpose of this lifesaving technology. The purpose of the cameras is for drivers to receive a warning or a summons, and permanently alter their speeding or red light running behavior. By offering these alerts, Waze encourages drivers to continue driving recklessly. It is the most anti-social thing your company does.

Automatic alert clearing
I find it frustrating that a speed or red light camera alert doesn’t clear itself automatically once past the location.
If you don't manually clear the alert it will permanently stay up covering other useful trip information.1 vote -
More specific warnings
Can there be an option to report a speed van/camera in Ireland?
Currently speed vans (privately operated) are reported as police which is not accurate but its the closest option however there is a big difference between a parked private speed van and a garda checkpoint/police.Thank you!

known speed trap
I'd like to see a feature where kind of like the known speed camera where a permanent feature that could help out of towners pinpoint speed traps. Especially late at night in rural area this would be helpful as traffic is probably much less and is less likely to be reported.
