Report menu redesign
Nowadays reporting menu is not fluent enough to use while driving, especially when reporting hazards, due to heavy use of text in the menus Latest update even made the font smaller...
I feel that hazard report menu should contain icons in the same matter the main menu uses them. Meaning: car, animal and anything else should have an icon describing. Thus, making the reporting duty during driving a hell of a lot easier. Same goes with the lane choice for the report (you can barely see those tiny arrows there).6 votes -
Allow assigning a dropped pin as Home or Work addresses!
My Home Garage is accesses through a long lane way / alley. My work parking beneath the building is accessed from a small side street. The result is that driving directions approach both locations from the wrong direction. I waste time in both directions & navigation needs to be manually ended.
Please allow me to assign a dropped pin as my addresses. Thanks!
1 voteFeel free to set your work address from current location. Here’s how:
1. Travel to needed location (e.g. your work parking)
2. In app open menu on the left, click on your profile name and select “Home and Work” menu
3. Select “Set work address” (if no work address added) or tap the edit button on existing work address.
4. Select “Current location”. -
Add safety message to remind local rules / habits
When the wazer is going to a new zone, Waze could remind him local habits : for example, in Paris, there is a lot of motorcyclists driving between the 2 right lane, Waze could say "Please pay attention to motorcyclists " ...
It could also be a reminder of the speed limit for this counrty when crossing a border.

Gewoon alle meldingen mogelijk maken op Android auto.On phone, notification lane closed is possible.

Reporting counterflow option
Currently there is a report for road works, and there are options for closure of right, left or center lane . But there are no options for a counterflow situation on the motorway, eg where northbound traffic is led onto the southbound road half and users face oncoming traffic

Please amend the visitors entrance on the GPS from Andrea Lane to US 41. At present drivers are directed to the owner's entrance and cannot gain access. They need to be directed to the US41 entrance where they can talk to Envira Security.

We visited Miami and were directed by the Waze app to use the I-95 Express Lane.
Unfortunately, we didn't have the required subscription so we were issued a $28 ticket.

Misuse of comment section on accidents
I see some inappropriate comments in the comment section like “please die moron” or even posting small adds to peoples business. Dont think this is the intended use of the comment box, everyone makes mistake sometimes, very sad to see these comments. Actually don’t think the comment box is particularly helpful in any way, even if we know lane 1 or lane 2 can’t escape the jam. Also promotes driving and typing. How else would they add comment? Literally not safe. Suggest to remove comment function, screen the comments, or given warning to the users that recurrently give inappropriate comments.…

Incline or decline alert
When approaching a significant incline or decline it would be great to get an alert. Sometimes you can be driving along a country lane at 60mph and suddenly there is a crest of a hill and a step decline with no warning. Very dangerous

Please make next steps quick/easy to see
In heavy traffic, one often has to know about upcoming turns well in advance to get into the correct lane. But to see upcoming nav steps in Waze requires clicking to the menu, then swiping to the second page, then clicking Nav List -- way too many steps. Please make it easy to see the next step or whole list from the main screen. I suggest enabling a jump to the nav list if the user clicks on the name of the next street. (I intuitively try this; may have been default functionality on a prior GPS.)

Improve route guidance
Please take your time to analize these factors;
Waze, everytime you release a new update, it doesn’t alway fix or updates one of the most important thing, which is the routing itself, another word;
Waze does not always end the route where it needs to be (it ends somewhere close),
When it comes to apartments complexes, it takes you most of the time through the exit gate instead of the main gain (just because it seeing the final address as closer to the exit, I get it but it it’s not correct),

Adding a work area as a contractor
When we are going to be working on a main road it would be nice to have the option to go on Waze to let everybody know where the work area will be what kind of work is being done, and to be able to alert drivers what Lane will be closed and so on . It will also keep the workers safe as well as keeping traffic flowing and avoiding accidents

Navigation improvements
I strongly suggest the developers come to Dubai and drive around with this app for a few days. You will understand that giving the driver instructions to get into the far left lane on a 9 lane highway literally 100m before having to change lanes is not only impractical, but actually dangerous. I have checked...this graphical display at the top of the screen should change no less than 1800m before the change should occur. It is a wonderful app, far ahead of Google maps, but for now I will uninstall it as it has caused me quite a few…

Public or private events
Please add the option to set a public event (with proof of its occurrence) to allow people to avoid routes that may be congested because of the event such as a farmers market. This would help a lot of people as the traffic option usually doesn’t last too long meanwhile events can last the entire day, blocking roads or decreasing lane sizes, forcing a merge.

Alert popup windows cover vital information
On android auto, the alert popup windows cover vital information such as time to reach destination and which lane to pick at the next crossroad. This is very annoying and potentionaly dangerous.
This does not happen on the phone display, even thought it is much smaller then the cars display.Could this be fixed so that the popup window would not cover other informations?

Hazards and speed camera pop-ups are blocking/obscuring the lane guidance in Android Auto. Please redesign and make it smaller or move it somewhere else. It's dangerous as drivers have to keep dismissing and closing the dialogue pop-up

Possibility to tick an avoid country lanes box
Overview routes are only general. A button to tick "Avoid country lanes/no name lanes) would be so useful to not go in circles, trying to find a better route towards a location. It's not always possible to avoid country lanes, but most of the times/most of the route can be at least on B roads.

Street names covering the turn on the road
When the car needs to turn, the street name goes over the turning or corner line. You then can't see which turning you need to take if multiple roads you could turn down or a lane to get into. This is since an update early in 2025

Add bus lanes and gates in waze in UK
I would love to add bus lanes in waze so new drivers and visitors from other cities will be saved from bus lanes fines. Specially in night times boards are unreadable. It's humble request please add this feature.

Reports Ahead
The Reports Ahed list is now filled with reports of Speed Camera Ahead, making it almost impossible to see the actually important information (traffic, lane blocked, etc.). I have turned OFF ALL of the camera selections and the list is stilll filled with USELESS information.
