hi, why do I have to keep reporting the same roadworks twice a day? These have been at the same spot, causing traffic jams, for the last two weeks. There should be a facility to enter an estimated time that roadworks will be present. The site could be linked to a pop uo question similar to the speed cameras, 'not here??' This would allow others to confirm when the roadworks were finished. '

Make an alert similar to the one you receive when approaching railroad crossings, to alert drivers to new traffic patterns or street signs.

Avoiding roads
Allow us to avoid certain roads alongs routes, (toll roads, construction, traffic)
407 votesGreat news. Setting to avoid toll roads is already available globally. It is also possible to mark dangerous zones on map editor level, so the app could warn you if your route goes through one of dangerous zones.

"Always Avoid This Intersection"
Waze needs an "Always Avoid This Intersection" feature.
Waze consistently routes me to turn left at a traffic light at an intersection that has 6 lanes of traffic merging into a single lane to get on to a freeway which is also controlled by a traffic light. The congestion there is ALWAYS terrible and easily adds 20 minutes to my commute. Users with local knowledge should be able to specify intersections to avoid at all times. This "avoid list" would be user specific, thereby allowing each user to maintain it (add/delete intersections) as necessary.3 votes -
Support Pebble watch (getpebble.com)
The Pebble is a smart watch with an SDK for Android / iOS. Being able to integrate with it would allow users to quickly report traffic instances without using the phone interface. Just click a button on the watch and it reports heavy traffic por example.
95 votesThank you for your suggestion! We are currently not planning on adding Pebble support.
Stay tuned for more features and updates on Waze’s blog and social pages on Facebook and Instagram. -
Make it so that I can just see a map with my entire route to work with traffic issues, police, etc shown.
Why should the default be turn by turn to work? That actually doesn't make sense. If I tap on work, I should see the complete map to see what traffic looks like, not some voice telling me how to navigate a drive I have done most days for 10 years. This is in fact so obvious that I can't believe that's not the way it is already. If you do that one thing, I will start using the app every day, and it will be wonderful. For now I guess I will keep using google maps every day.

Turn warnings with number of lights or streets not meters
Instead of “turn in 800 meters” say “ after this light turn right at the next one”

Please consider adding the number of drivers to the traffic speed display. The greater number of drivers the greater the confidence in the speed displayed. Conversely if a speed along a corridor is based on only a few drivers the accuracy is questionable.

Allow sharing of (or automatically display) sports events, concerts, and other planned events that are likely to cause traffic on your route
On my commute home I often pass by a professional baseball stadium and a professional basketball court/ice hockey rink. I don't always check the schedule ahead of time and Waze often routes me directly in front of one or the other of these events. The traffic (pedestrian and auto both) can be terrible. It would be nice to know in advance that this is en-route and/or be able to re-route around such events so I can get home safe and sound.

"choke buster" mode aka (lambs to the slaughter) (also "no right on red" avoidance)
Problem: I see a lot of wazers all jump off the freeway or arterial route only to get stuck on the same surface streets.
I see this happen:
The scenario is heavy traffic on a major thoroughfare.
Several cars all take the same obscure turn off the main road (Geary) onto the tricky alternate route (eg. Steiner) only to end up fourth or tenth at a four way stop, effectively defeating the "short cut" and suddenly ETA upticks minute by minute. Aargh! : )So. I'd suggest Waze should monitor in real time as the "pulse" of traffic either flows…
1 vote“Avoid difficult intersections” option is available in Navigation settings. Should ease the issue if not eliminate it.

Avoid Long Traffic Signals
Add an option to avoid intersections with very long signal cycles, which undoubtedly lead to delays.

Use accelerometers and gyroscopes to suppliment GPS data
Use accelerometers and gyroscopes to increase accuracy of location with with virtually no power increase. It would also allow navigation through tunnels and such when GPS location is lost. It would also prevent erroneous movement while stopped at a traffic light. There are companies testing this type of technology. One that I have been following but have no financial interest in is navisens.com There are videos from navisens at https://www.youtube.com/user/navisens

I'd really like to see an analysis of the data by the CHP to give news/ traffic reporting.
Can Data analysis provide the useful reporting info for CHP News /Traffic reporting?
How many drivers got safely where they are going.
What are the trends.
How many got Citations on their way, what were they for?
Are heavy waze drivers better drivers or do they just cover more milage? More in deapth info to inject into the monotony of traffic reports on the news.1 voteThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

waze for motorcycle
There should be an option on waze to use motorcycle or even bikes.
I like to use waze but when I'm riding a moto it shows alternative ways to avoid traffic. The problem is that when riding moto I don't get stuck in traffic.
And if I use waze when riding I'm afraid to trick the system and send informations that there is no traffic on the road when actually there is.21 votesThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already has Motorcycle Mode included in the app. To change your vehicle type, tap Settings > Car Details > Vehicle type.

Suggestion for Adding Stop Signs to Waze Map Editor: Enhancing Safety, Traffic Flow, and User Experience
Dear Waze Development Team,
I know this feature was denied back in 2022 but I would like to suggest adding this feature again due to how important it is. This feature will allow map editors to include stop signs on the Waze map.
Here are a few reasons why:
Enhanced Safety: Drivers will have advanced notice of stop signs, allowing them to prepare to stop safely, which can reduce the risk of accidents at intersections.Improved Traffic Flow: Accurate stop sign information helps drivers make better decisions, contributing to smoother traffic movement and less congestion.
Optimized Route Planning: Knowing where…
