Travel planning

Hazard reporting when not driving
There needs to be a way to report hazards after you’ve driven / not while your in the current area. I’ve been in multiple situations where there has been a hazard like a crash or roadworks where i’m not in a position to be using my phone while driving as to fully pay attention to my surroundings. I feel only having hazard reporting able to work while driving is a bit dangerous and by including the ability to report things you’ve encountered on your drive at home or when your not behind the wheel would benefit the safety of…

Report and block dangerous routes
I absolutely love your products, however there’s a major flaw in that you direct users through extremely dangerous areas in South Africa. This includes a well known Johannesburg hijack and robbery hotspot and yet I can’t report it nor block it on my route.

Show all villages in Israel "behind the green line"
In Israel, I drive a lot in the area that has been marked a "behind the green line". All roads are marked well in this area, and so are Jewish settlements are indicated well on the map. I would like to have the names of the Arab villages that I pass along the road mentioned on the map. That helps for orientation purposes.

Use road posted speed limits plus user speeds for in route algorythim
This will help find a better route based on posted speed. Also if we could calculate average speed of wayze users in a route area to help adjust for traffic. as in this road has a posting of 50 MPH but average user speed is 25 this equals bad traffic and should re-route to a road that is 35MP with little to no traffic. to set aside from others who do this allow a setting to limite the number of in route routing adjustments. Some may become overwhelmed with to many re-directions on the fly.
The direct route is not…

A DOUBLE PARKER BUTTON
I know it could possibly cause a lot of conditions updating but they ARE a nuisance in most areas. Maybe even a genuine hazard.

"Prefer Freeways" instead of "Avoid Tolls"
Currently, you can set Waze to 'avoid tolls' which is handy - but this prevents Waze from recommending tollways when there is traffic on the freeway. For example, in Dallas we have 635 and 635 Express. Both follow the exact same path, the only difference is the express lanes cost around $5. It would be very nice if Waze would prefer the freeway, but still recommend the tollway if there is significant traffic reported on the freeway.
Also, Waze seems to have trouble telling if I am on the freeway or tollway, since they are basically right next to each…

Favoris / liste d'adresse

Displays too much of the roads around
When navigating the map shows at least 1/2 mile of the surrounding area - totally unnecessary , please make the map more immediate (not showing everything around ) like Tom Tom and Google maps so the map your looking at is the immediate area around you so will be more detailed ( like when it zooms in on a junction )

One website for everybody
Why segregate users from the US (waze.com) and the rest of the world? (world.waze.com). Bet a ton of people try to use Waze on the web, check waze.com instead of world.waze.com, see nothing, and say "it doesn't work, screw it".
I imagine the separation is needed because of traffic volume concerns or something. But in that case, waze.com should redirect you to the right map depending on your IP, or if you're logged in, on your stated location. And you should have "US Map" "Rest of the world" links on the web livemap you can click to switch from…
1 voteThank you for your suggestion! As you may already know, a live map is available as a web version, which you can use to see real time traffic reports. Search for Waze live map.

have client generate text file of all unallowed moves while driving to view on computer
I know the system technically does this automatically but I was thinking today as I was going through the cartouche fixing every intersection in my hometown, how it'd be handy if the client generated a text file showing all the things you did that you "shouldn't" have. Almost every intersection in my area has restricted turns that simply don't exist (it's a small town, there's only one turn restriction and no one ways, so i realize this is easier than most) but I was thinking it'd be handy if I could open a txt file generated by the…

Common Police Locations
Police aren't always marked, they may have just moved, but police locations tend to be rather consistent at least in my experience. Waze, I assume, has the data tracked for every instance of report and knows the location of all police reported events so why not do something with this data to help drivers. Create a potential police location report. This is something that drivers don't place but is a backend development from the Waze team. Take the police report data and create a new icon, the police icon but in a different color, to represent a typical police location.…

Map pinning on iPhone while using CarPlay
Hello Waze team! Please make it available to see/pin routes on iPhone while using CarPlay with Waze together. Im living in the place where I dont know names of streets(and im new to driving) and can only find the spot by using map. I always have to stop somewhere, disconnect my phone from carplay, find and pin the area, then connect back. Its very painful job, especially when traffic is full and there is no place to park. Whenever I start using waze with car play, I dont have an access to map on screen of my phone, cant…

Identify when passing is allowed on two lane roads
Two lane roads, usually rural, have designated areas where it is legal to pass. It would be very helpful to have those identified as you approach so you know you will have an opportunity to pass as it approaches. Many times people tailgate until reaching one and this could prevent that activity and make it safer to pass in general.

"Closure" function in iOS app=broken. Engaging CLOSURE displays area map with white arrows that mostly can not be selected.
Selecting CLOSURE from UI on iOS results in a local map. This shows White Arrows and red "-" icons. Unfortunately, often, the user can NOT select on the white arrows to flag the road closure, And the UI is displaying selection of a white arrow when another, not related, white arrow is clicked on. The way it is working now the app CLOSURE function is literally not usable.. It would be very helpful if the APP were smart enough to automatically select a intersection closure based on the information that the suggested and running route was not followed and now…

Ability for people without smart phones
People without smart phones living near an area need a way to give warnings when road conditions will adversely affect drivers.
An example of this is the road construction at the intersection of 13th & Glendale, Topeka, KS that includes an abrupt 7" drop-off, which began about 11:00am June 9th.
Official details of entire project available are at http://www.topeka.org/pdfs/Tax/HillsdaleHandout.pdf
If non-drivers could just post an icon for Wazes users to be alerted to an 'unconfirmed' issue, Wazes drivers would at least know there is a reason to be extra alert, and the issue could more easily be safely confirmed by…2 votes -

Please, if it is possible to add a key to activate or deactivate street names in the settings.
Why?
In Romania, if you're at an intersection with several exits and you don't know the area, you can't see very well where you need to exit because of the name of the street that covers the area where you need to turn.1 vote
