In Romania, if you're at an intersection with several exits and you don't know the area, you can't see very well where you need to exit because of the name of the street that covers the area where you need to turn.1 vote -
Crowd Tourguide via POI;s
Allow people to add POI's and make a voice recording telling you an interesting fact about this POI.
This will allow other users that pass the area, to listen to the recording and rate it or report it for removal.
This can help people driving through unknown areas to be guided by facts provided by others that would make the journey more interesting than simply driving through an area and not knowing anything about it.1 voteThanks for your feedback. Show the ATM banks in the area. Like for example, show the chase bank logo and symbol. Do it for all banks.

Add automatically scheduled stops to route that survives rerouting
I would like to navigate somewhere and tell Waze to plan rest stops periodically (1 hour, 90 minutes, whatever), and for waze to figure out where to stop.
If Waze reroutes because of traffic conditions it should figure out the new stops.

Warn when your car enter a Restricted Zone in Cities per Car Emission Class
In Spain, Europe, we have restrictions to go in with cars based on Euro Emission class. We normally know restrictions in the city we live, but not other cities ( more than 50.000 people), where fines are around 100 €, if your car not allowed enter a restricted zone.
we can select a car (in my case I have more than one) and navigation will warn you when you enter a restricted area, even having in consideration this restriction for calculating routes.

Add information/instructions on when to add a pass
My suggestion is for the following feature:
Either:
Add an information panel when users enter the Toll and HOV passes page for the first time, informing them that adding passes may route them into areas or through restricted roads.
Or:
Allow us to add information against each pass/permit, giving the user guidance as to what each pass is for.My suggestion solves this problem:

Sightseeing Mode
The idea is to have a SIGHTSEEING MODE , that you can choose when your using navigation. As you are driving / walking / biking etc. through a area this mode will tell you out load any interesting points about the area you are passing .
For instance we just did a family road trip through Iceland . We would have loved for navigation to talk to us as we pass cool places , Like "To your right a glacier called ... it is 700 miles long and in 1984 it melted and flooded this entire are etc.…2 votes -
known speed trap
I'd like to see a feature where kind of like the known speed camera where a permanent feature that could help out of towners pinpoint speed traps. Especially late at night in rural area this would be helpful as traffic is probably much less and is less likely to be reported.

Feature Request: Co-Drive Functionality
Every year, I go on vacation with my family and friends, and we always rely on the Waze app, which has been incredibly helpful for all of us.
I’d like to suggest a new feature that could enhance the experience for groups traveling in multiple cars: a Co-Drive functionality. The idea is to allow users who are part of the same travel group to see each other’s locations on the map during the trip. This would be especially useful if one vehicle makes an unplanned stop—at a gas station or store, for example—so the rest of the group can stay…

Turn by turn direction alert only for last few kilometres option
Is it possible to give turn-by-turn instructions only for the last few kilometres (configurable), while the rest of the trip will give only hazard alerts? This will help enjoy the music without interruption during the initial journey in know roads.

Waze Own DataBase for post codes in Portugal easy search and update by users/editor's.
Hello.
We know that beetween a name street that pops 2 options on the screen near you, and you don't know wich one to go, the post code search usually saves the trouble of going to the wrong direction, saving time and resources. So in that sense......The idea I'm sugesting consists on having a own WAZE database for post codes in Portugal run/managed with the Waze community and, that should be, the primary option when searching for post codes.

Location Correction/Change/Adjustment
It would be very nice to have the ability to correct or change the road we are driving on. If at any point we deviate from a GPS route (exit the highway early or late, enter an HOV lane, get or stay on an express road), we need to have the ability to adjust our location on the map so the route can update.
How to achieve this:

There are various requests for features of what Waze should/should not display on screen. It would be great if users could instead of just choosing a style, actually choose a (or create) a layout that another user has selected.
Best option would be to provide the ablity to give shapes, and areas that can contain text. Eg.
- Current speed (can then increase/decrease the speed display)
- Average wazer speed on the current segment (so the potential speed limits could be shown)
- Current road name
- Text/images for popups
- Destination ETA
- Destination time

ZTL
ZTL Eng-Ita
From October the access rules to the ZTL area B of Milan will change (eg Euro 5 diesel no longer enters), periodically similar things also happen in other cities. it would be useful to be able to select at the start-up phase of Waze, in addition to the type of vehicle, also the pollution class so that the navigator can take it into account when calculating the route and, if the vehicle class is not among those authorized, report that can enter the ZTL and avoid fines.

Toll Transponder Preferences (for Exclusive Exits & Lanes)
In Pennsylvania (and other states, such as Florida) there are exits on toll roads that are only for holders of a certain toll transponder (such as E-ZPass) and have no cash facilities. Unlike all-electronic toll roads, using one of these ramps without a transponder is a "violation". There are also HOT (High Occupancy Toll) and Express lanes that require a transponder but may even allow for special transponders that give free rides to carpools.
Waze used to direct me to one of these ramps, which is closest to my house. However, likely because people without toll tags have been sent…

Unmarked Licence plates
It would be good to have a list viewable to everyone in that area of unmarked police car plates and models/info about them. Users could add plates with proof and Waze accepts it onto the list, this way everyone driving in the area can look on the list before moving off on the journey and see what to look out for or at least a few letters

Trains blocking roads
I think it would be great if there could be a feature added for trains! We have trains in this area that will stop on the tracks for hours, and they end up blocking over 20 different roads and you end up having to drive about 15 roads down until you find an opening where the train ends. Currently there's no way to indicate a stopped train. I've tried using the blocked road feature but it doesn't work for this.

Have the locations of Police/Sheriff Buildings on the App. I know of 3 in my area right on major roadways.
This will help locate a police or sheriff's office in case you need help or feel the need......the need to fly by the place.
