Ability to report road closure with voice command
I would like to be able to report road closures without having to touch the phone since I always come across them unexpectedly and never have time to enter the report manually.
After straying from Waze's route I would like to be able to initiate a voice command and say "road closure" and have Waze take that to mean that I strayed from it's route because of a road closure at the point where I left the route.

There is no way to report a road closure in the UK on Android Auto, i feel this is a vital need

Lane Arrows
The colors of the arrows indicating which lane to stay in should have a more distinct difference in color. It's very hard to tell the difference at first glance. Maybe making the arrows that indicate which lane to stay in a bright yellow, would be more helpful.

Carpool/HOV lane detection
Give us the option to comletely disable Carpool/HOV lane detection.
For two years now the app keeps telling me to leave the carpool lane every 1 to 2 miles, even when I am not in the carpool lane. Please give us an option to completely disable the lane detection so I can enter or exit it whenever I want to.2 votes -
Knowing the direction of the closure
Hi>
Why isn't the closure displayed in the app the same way it is on the Waze map editor?
We often encounter misleading reports where users believe the entire street is closed.
I believe it would be beneficial to add small arrows to the traffic closure, similar to those in the map editor, to indicate the direction of the closure.thanks!

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

Lane guidance colour
The current lane guidance in Android Auto is shown such that the 1st line shows the upcoming lanes to take, and the 2nd line shows the next (i.e. then) guidance. Instead of taking up two lines, which takes up space, colour the most appropriate lane (s) in a different colour (green), and the least best lane in another colour (amber). For eg, if the upcoming highway exit is 3 lanes to the right, but the final edit is only the right most lane, colour the 3 arrows such that the right most is green, and the two…

Pre-Planned Road Closure (Confirm Road Closure or Report a closure as not there)
Although there are posted times for freeway ramp closures, I think someway of also reporting a closure that is not actually there, or even confirming a closure. Through my personal experience this would be super helpful as the exits around my exits add an additional 15-20 minutes to my drive back home. But many times when Waze tells me my exit is closed, but its actually open which can get frustrating.

Ability to enter when a lane is closed due or a turn is temporarily blocked
Need the ability to identify temporary lane closures as well as temporary turn prevention due to any activity. I have experienced this a number of times where a lane is closed off for some type of activity but Waze doesn’t allow me to report it to x pet for saying Construction on road when it isn’t always construction. Sometimes lanes are closed temporarily for events being held in the streets or even a right turn isn’t allowed because of road closures or other work being performed.

Old street closure reporting system
Previously, when reporting a street closure, Waze would allow the driver to indicate which road was closed. Now, Waze changed it to reporting a closure that the driver is currently on. This doesn't work in real-world usage because you cannot be on the road that's closed. This results into incorrect street closure reportings. Please go back to the old method of reporting a street closure.

Closure sign colouring.
Could you possibly change the background of the "closure" sign? Its currently red on red which makes it a little difficult to see (even more so if you are colourblind).

Good day, I am a user based in Malaysia. I have been using Waze as my primary navigation tool for many years and truly appreciate the innovation and convenience it provides. However, after years of usage, I have noticed a main feature where improvements could be made.

Better lane guidance
Better lane guidance would be a big help. I’m coming from Google Maps. I would get notified at more than a mile when to get into a lane before a turn and how far over I need to be. So 1 mile to 2 miles out would be good especially on the expressway when traveling at higher rates of speed. If the notification became more frequent the closer you got to An exit or to a turn that would be a help as well

User coud select correct lane
In my country (Brazil), there are many places with Express & Local lanes running side by side.
In that case when Waze makes the route and the traffic changes quickly, I decide to choose a different lane (for exemple express instead of local), I wanted to be able to "touch" the screen and select the correct lane, so Waze could re-route and show me the rights options to continue my route.

Provide the lane for cars on shoulder
Can an alert for vehicles on the shoulder or an issue in a lane provide which lane the issue is in?

Blocked lane(s) selection
When a user selects to report a hazard on the road with either a stopped vehicle or object on road, display a view of that road’s lanes so they can select the lane(s) that are blocked for drivers approaching to prepare.

Tagging the lane of an accident
It would be nice for users to have the ability to tag what lane(s) an accident is in when they report an accident. Often users add this information in comments, but that takes time and becomes hazardous to look through as you're driving.

Feature request - ability to specify which lane is affected
I wonder if it would be possible to add an extra screen where you can specify where a hazard is - e.g. a pothole or object in the road. It’s not useful on a 3 lane motorway to be informed about a pothole in lane 3 when you’re driving in lane 1!
Additionally if a feature could be added regarding reporting things on the other side of the road - e.g. roadworks that are in the lane going in the other direction but not affecting your lane.
