1. Traffic control button

   It would be nice to have a button to mark where there are traffic controls, but not by the police. Often there are vehicle control done by the government. Such a warning button to mark in the map would be nice.

2. while travelling, what we need is real time alerts on our mobile and also on FM radio

   I have 2 ideas to improve WAZE

   1. While travelling, the passenger vehicle driver needs alerts on his/her mobile and also on FM radio, This can be made possible by tapping the mobile numbers of the drives when they start travelling.    2. Via whatsapp, passenger cars should be able to take pictures of the front view and surroundings of the traffic jam or any unwanted hindrance and those photos should be sent to all smart phones which are in the radius of 1-2 miles/Km. Real time pictures/videos will speak a thousand words than single line sms or audio on FM radio

   Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

3. Display of built-in navigation/map on the dashboard after navigation is finished

   Hello.

   I noticed that when I start navigating via Waze, the built-in navigation in the car on the dashboard displays the voice "mobile navigation is active",,. and does not display the built-in navigation. After the navigation via Waze ends, but this voice on the dashboard remains active and the built-in navigation in the car is not displayed. Only after restarting the vehicle and connecting. After navigating to the destination, Google Maps switches back to the built-in navigation mode on the dashboard and displays the map in the vehicle.

4. Unusable in CarPlay in iOS 18 Beta 4 across multiple vehicles

   The app constantly crashes during routine guidance, is unresponsive to taps, runs slowly, is jerky, doesn’t keep up with the current location, doesn’t display speed, and routinely stops displaying a map. I have tried multiple vehicles with the same results. It has been bad across all iOS 18 builds but is especially bad on beta 4.

5. Important! For safety - Add an option to stay away from unsealed roads

   I used Waze when driving back home this weekend, for a 400km journey. There were traffic jams all along the main routes. Waze saved me an hour by routing me around the jams, but.....

   I had two little kids in a two wheel drive car and Waze took me through roads better suited for four wheel drive vehicles - unsealed, dirt roads with no cellphone reception. The roads got bad until I was too far in and turning around wasn't even an option because it was too narrow.

   This is a matter of safety. Some cars cannot handle unsealed dirt roads and it is incredibly important that Waze gives the user an option to stay away from such roads.

6. Make it Easy to Report False Reports

   Please make it easy for us to flag false reports, we are seeing dozens of "Major Crashes" each day in Nebraska, mainly Omaha, that are totally False.

   An "crash" tonight on I-80 WB between exit 449 and 448 was a simple disabled vehicle with a flat left tire, OPD was blocking a lane so the driver could safely make the tire change. Fix this. Your app's credibility sucks.

7. Don't consider a trip as finished when we can't park in front of the destination's adress

   Please, prevent the application from considering a trip as finished when you pass in front of the exact destination's address because in a city it is not possible to park systematically in front of the destination address (those who conceived this application must live in countryside!). The app should wait a second or two after if the targeted address is behind us and so, if our vehicle is still moving then calculate a new route to the destination... Ideally, the application should suggest the location of a nearby parking and update the path to finish on foot ...

8. Location Correction/Change/Adjustment

   It would be very nice to have the ability to correct or change the road we are driving on. If at any point we deviate from a GPS route (exit the highway early or late, enter an HOV lane, get or stay on an express road), we need to have the ability to adjust our location on the map so the route can update.

   How to achieve this:
   I'm thinking we could select our vehicle on the map (currently, this pulls up our "current location"), then - select an option to "adjust route" (call it whatever you want), this would pull up another pop-up window that would provide us other streets in the immediate area (preferably in the same direction we're currently driving) that we could then choose and adjust our current route/position.

   Another example of why this would be useful:
   Sometimes when we start the app, GPS shows us on a nearby road or facing the opposite direction. This can affect routes and anticipated ETA's, sometimes drastically. If we could select the correct street we are on, or the correct direction we're facing, it would be a great help/tool.

11. Ability for area managers to add road closures and long-lasting hazards in areas they manage

    Instead of having to rely on the high level requirement in certain countries, area managers should be able to add road closures and long-lasting hazard notices on the map in the areas they manage. Currently we have to rely on Country Managers who are already busy and it creates unnecessary work for us having to create map multiple map views and copy paste links every few weeks when we could just do it ourselves. Especially during large constructions, like currently our city is constructing a tramway and roads all around the city are either completely closed or traffic flow is severely limited, therefore making Waze almost useless since nobody is keeping up the road closures. I believe this would be beneficial for both parties; Waze and its' users.

    I am a long-time Waze user (almost 9 years) and back in the day I was able to do it myself.

12. A few user stories for supporting BEV / electromobility in Waze

    Dear Wazers,

    I have been using your product far before "the Google times." When I first downloaded Waze, the road to my home was not "Wazed-paved" yet, so I had to pave it myself :). Anyway, that's not what I'm writing you about. I want to extend a request to you through a few user stories, which would significantly enhance my electromobility driving experience. I hope you're already thinking in that direction, and we'll see enhancements for BEV (battery-electric vehicles) soon.

    There're plenty of elecromobile-specific apps, but Waze is my current choice for a guidance app. As such, I am suffering because I need to switch back/forth from Waze to another app when it comes time to plan a long drive.

    If you would like to enhance our experience with Waze easily, you could partner with the two most powerful solutions, PlugShare and abetterrouteplanner.com (of course, if they agree). But I think you're big enough to believe in enhancing your app by yourself and giving us the functionality to fulfill our e-mobility needs.

    I took the liberty to draft a few user stories, which I can find very useful. Although all of them will give excellent functionality to Waze, the first one is the most important, which would position Waze as the first massively used navigation software which incorporates proper functionality for e-mobility. I hope you have plans to win this market even better.

    In any case, here're the stories. Each story has a justification/overview to it.

    As a user, I need to see charging stations on the map so that I can plan my travel accordingly

    This one is the "mother of all e-mobility" stories. Of course, it's so big that it's easily epic, but shortly said, we, the users, need a way to see the charging stations on the map.

    The distinguished properties of each charger on the map should be like those below:

      name: "Awesome charger" # The name of the charging station, user free-form
      owner: "EVPoint" # the charging station owner
      description: "Please use our apps, available at our home page https://evpoint.bg/, to activate the charger."
      max-power: 150 # the maximum power, in kW, of the whole station. Sometimes people use only this parameter to judge the power delivery speed, but often it's necessary to have granulation per socket.
      connectors: # Lists all charging connectors available at the station. This is a good reference for it: https://evcharging.enelx.com/resources/blog/552-ev-charging-connector-types
        - CCS2: # CCS2 charging connectors at the station
            - count: 2 # two CCS2 charging connectors
            - max-power: 75 # 75 kW max power each
        - CHADEMO: # Chademo connectors at the station
            - count: 1 # one Chademo connector
            - max-power: 50 # 50 kW max power 
    

    The description might seem optional, but without it we will need a place to know the URL from which we will access the charging app. Usually, most of the manufacturers have their specific apps. So any particular data on how to access the station services is put in this field.

    A very important part of this functionality is the filters. When a BEV travels a long distance, we usually use the fact DC-chargers. These give us a charge for approx 100-150 miles (150-250 km) in 10-20 minutes. Most of these chargers are located near (or directly as part of) existing gas stations.

    As part of an MVP, I would accept the first four fields, with the ability to filter by max-power. However, an "MVP-2" stage with the connectors property, and the ability to filter by their type, will be a must since not all cars support all connectors. For example, a TESLA might have its own connector only, and my car has only CCS2 for DC charging.

    As a user, I would like to enter my BEV range so that Waze helps me plan longer rides

    This is a must if I could use Waze as my assistant for BEV travels. My vehicle has a range (let's simplify this for now - just a number of km or miles in my account).

    Based on this range, Waze could show me in a friendly way, directly over my travel map, where my coverage ends. Then I can zoom in, choose a suitable charging station, and plan my ride accordingly (see below). For this, Waze has to have support for more than one Stops (I think right now you allow only one stop, but even this would do, for an MVP, it's more than OK).

    As a user, I need better support for community-driven charging station data and status

    The community feedback is critical since the map is not yet saturated with chargers. Thus, having the ability to rate/comment on each charging station is a functionality that I use very often. When I plan my trip, I usually avoid chargers, where the community says "broken." And when a charger comes back online, the community is very fast to indicate this.

    The best way to leave feedback is to indicate if any user had a successful charging session. A simple Yes/No would do. The system can then calculate an overall rating per charger and display it in a Rating section. The written feedback from each user can also be displayed there (if there's such a given with the "Charge-successful/unsuccessful" rate).

    We used two buttons the most one for police and one for broken down vehicles. But it takes three entries or button pushes to enter it and sometimes you just have to take your eyes off the road real fast Make one button on the main screen for police and vehicle on Saturday road

14. Report police driving in the same direction 🚨

    Today it's possible to report police driving in the opposite direction, but it would be good to also be able to report if they're driving in the same direction as yourself to be able to warn drivers ahead of you. Or maybe it should be all rescue vehicles, so people can give a clear lane for police, ambulances and fire trucks

    The Keyboard is missing on the vehicle screen when using Apple Car Play. This forces the use of the app on the phone to enter a destination. Totally user unfriendly. The microphone function isn't totally reliable and can be frustrating.

16. Airplane icon and Air Traffic Control voice

    There should be an option to have a commercial airplane as your vehicle icon while driving. I also think it would be cool to have a voice that sounds like Air Traffic Control and alert sounds similar to what you would hear in an airplane.

17. Configuration Setting for Road Hazards Order

    Road Hazard Reporting is extremely important for the efficiency & simplicity of submissions! We do NOT want the "Submission of Report" to be the source of vehicle accidents! This can be assistance with one being able to customize their own order of "Road Hazards" listing within the Smartphone App and CarPlay view! In my case, having to scroll down in my CarPlay view to access "Pothole" increases my chances of possible "vehicle accident issues" on the road due to the extra 2-5 seconds of "less direct attention" to the crazy other drivers on the road! In other words, this configuration option is very much helpful for everyone safety on the roads!

20. Speed that i should travel to reach from point A to B

    I would like to see a feature that calculates the optimal travel speed that i should go from point A to point B, based on a specified arrival time at point B. Additionally, if the vehicle exceeds the maximum allowed speed, it should emit a continuous beep, similar to existing safety mechanisms.

    This can see the block up ahead and do the math calculation and suggest us at what speed we should travel.
