Police
Police alerts are helpful in many ways, the one thing that would help a bit more is if along with the alert there should be an indication of how much time has passed since the alert was posted. This feature is already available but only if you tap on an upcoming police alert icon in which you will see for example 10min ago on the top right corner, but it does not show in the alert that pops up as you drive....... Unless it is a construction site police are rarely in one spot for very long...... I feel…

Maximum speedlimit
One function I really miss is being able to set the maximum speed I drive in. In Sweden, the maximum permitted speed is 80 km/h with a caravan, my eta today is quite misleading as it is based on the current speed limit on the road. So a function where I can set the maximum allowed speed myself would be really good.

Fix routing around large bodies of water e.g. Lake Michigan
For example, when I travel from Milwaukee to Detroit, I have to use Google Maps because Waze can't figure out how to drive around Lake Michigan. It's been like this for years and would be great if it could get fixed. The only way I can get it to work is to do a trip from Milwaukee to Chicago and then from Chicago to Detroit.

When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”
When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”, because many drivers prefer a longer but a more pleasant drive to a shorter but full of stops and traffic jams one. Driving faster is part of the pleasure of driving.
Especially in very busy areas, this option would be more than welcomed.
Driving is a pleasure per se, but not if you just stay in line, stuck in traffic jams.5 votes -
Google assistant on Favorites
Sometimes when we are at a stoplight and we need to look up one of our saved favorites instead of scrolling for it can we have Google assistant so we could ask google assistant to quickly look up the favorite saved that we are searching for? Then google assistant can ask us if we want this favorite as a new drive or give us other options for that specific favorite saved.

Jewish Mother Voice
Waze needs a concerned, Jewish mother's voice to add to its collection of voices. Apart from existing voices, this voice will at random add comments like, "When are you going to drive to my house?", "Did you put on your seatbelt?", "When am I going to get to have grandchildren?" "Would it hurt you to slow down a little??" etc. This voice, would be known as "the voice" given it's superiority over other voices, giving Waze a personality millions of users could not resist as their daily companion.

Showing family members car on carplay while driving
For example we drive to another city with two or more cars, i can add their profile, then on my carplay screen i can see if they’re behind me ( in meters or kilometers) or infront of me, so i won’t be worried about them being lost in the way.

Route info on widget
Currently the widget displays time to work or home and gives some indication of the traffic conditions. I wish it would show something about which route it chose for that info without having to click the Drive! button.

Automatically put on voice when something is different from the regular
usually when you drive everyday the same road you put only the voice on silence expect attentions because i know the way buy heart. Because waze supposed to learn my favorite way to work i would like to suggest that if something happen on the regular way and there is a change on the route that the instructions will be with voice even that i chooze not to. because otherwize i can miss the change and go automatically the regular way.

food place near me
while driving from vermont to NY, i asked for food in my area, we were still in vermont, it only showed food places 200 miles from our location, it would be great if it showed place within 20 miles of our drive, instead of 200 miles away.

advise to avoid erros that will result in a big change of the route
The app can advise the driver to not lose a turn.

Optimal Speed Suggestion
If there's a big traffic jam at a point 2/3 of the way to my destination, it may not help me get there on time if I drive at full speed or over the speed limit up to the point of the jam. Waze could set my suggested driving speed lower for a more even pace over the course of the trip. In some cases, a lower driving speed may help me conserve fuel (and thereby create a smaller carbon footprint) and if many drivers use this we may see safer roads as fewer people speed around rushing to…

Use (AI) to Track Traffic slowdowns
Since most OS now are coming with AI, Google/apple etc. Use this info from the map as I drive, Speed indicator,Posted speed and GPS, use the AI to calculate slow downs, This should also be available offline.

Replace usual "danger icon" by an icon with an image showing type of danger, easier to identify while driving
It should be an great idea to replace actual "danger icon" by different icons showing type of danger.
With actual one, we can identify a danger, that's great, but while driving, it is sometimes difficult to handle smartphone to identify danger origin.
"An image equal 1000 words", so just have a look on smartphone display is better than handle to recognize type of danger !8 votes -
Simplify UI for lite users
I know this may seem like a facepalm moment for many users, but trust me, I have friends out there who have given me feedback that Waze is 'too complicated' and find Google Navigation far simpler. I see one option is the first screen could ask 'Would you like to "Enter a Destination" or "Just drive around"?' just to make the first impression simpler.
Other tweaks could also be made for our tech-not-so-savvy users. This could have a major impact on retaining users.

Need another set address besides just work and home
i think there needs to be another set address (for randomness people do on a day to day basis), besides just Work and Home. everyday i drive to my childs daycare before i go to work and when i leave work. i would love for Waze to stop suggesting im on my way home before i can re-set it to daycare.

Allow planned drives to show up via Android Auto
Ever since an update came out earlies this spring, Waze has taken a giant step backwards. In the following updates they have remedied a few things (except the awful user interface via Android Auto)...and they still haven't added back key features when using Waze in the car with Android Auto...like PLANNED DRIVES. Duh!

Routing quality has plummeted after the Google acquisition - please get it back in shape!

I am a passionate Waze user who has converted many friends to the app, and has become a top 4% reporting contributor (I don't participate at all in any other gamified apps or websites). But now my support is waning fast.
Ever since Google bought Waze, routing has progressively become worse and worse. I initially switched to Waze because Google Maps routing had become horrible - inefficient routes when there were obviously better ways to go, etc. Waze does awesomely creative things like telling me to get off the freeway at an exit then immediately…

Prevent Constant Navigation pop-up while using other CarPlay apps.
I drive a Mazda CX-5 and whilst the car is in motion the CarPlay touchscreen is disabled and I interact with the interface using a wheel and buttons to move the focus and activate controls.
When using Waze to navigate and switching to music or Spotify or another app Waze will pop up notifications for alerts or upcoming navigation events.
When forced to use the wheel to control the interface this pop up is extremely annoying and interferes with controlling the CarPlay interface. It is so intrusive that I will be navigating songs etc and when I click to activate…
