Units of Distance and Speed - automatically detect when entering new country
Automatically change to imperial units (miles, MPH) when entering USA and change to metric units (km, km/h) when entering Canada or Mexico

Go back to the old format for alerts. Color & Location
Blue for police, orange for hazards. It's more eye-catching. Having the alerts near the bottom really doesn't catch the eye. Before the change was made I didn't even have to glance at my phone I could see the colors and icon through my peripheral vision

Traffic alerts
I think I will be a good idea for the app to have traffic alerts. Not just saying traffic reported ahead. Based on the speed limit the app to tell you to slow down because of traffic. It will be extremely useful on highways. For example, a kilometer ahead to display/announce such warning and recommendation to slow down. Therefore, drivers will not have to stop abruptly and accidents might be prevented.

Alerts dissapear too soon
I Cannon confirm alerts. When the subject appears, alert already dissapeared. Can you add option to close them like 20 seconds later so i can confirm presence or confirm not There?

Too many alerts on speed reduction
The alert "speed reduction ahead" became too invasive. Travelling on a mountain road or in the middle of nowhere waze keeps alerting about slowdowns ahead. This becomes quite annoying after 30-40km of road and 40-50 alerts about speed reduction ahead. It foces the user to silence the alerts... including the one important for the security. I would limit those announces. Thank you. Luca

Combination Red Light & Speed Camera
In my area there are now red light cameras that are also speed cameras. Why is this relevant? Because if the light is STALE (green for a long period and may be turning yellow/red soon at some point) I and other drivers who are aware that the light may be turning red may speed up to avoid the possibility of a receiving a red light ticket. (Because you can’t just stop for a stale green light) If you are aware the redlight camera also tickets for speed it would be a helpful reminder to keep your speed in check while…

Merci pour cette application.
Serait-il possible de pouvoir moduler le son de l'alerte sonore de dépassement de la vitesse, car je ne l'entends pas, même quand le son global de Waze est au maximum.
Cela sera d'autant plus utile que les routes françaises passeront prochainement à 80km/h.

PLEASE remove the reporting of potholes -- This is driving me insane.
Hello,
Though I do believe the initial intentions of reporting potholes were genuine, it has become an absolute nightmare for regular wazers.
I live in a metropolitan area and, unfortunately, not many people in my area have any inclination on what a pothole actually is. This has led to people spamming the map with tens of pothole reports on any given stretch of road (usually the reports are for an uneven patch of road, or even a small bump in the road)...
I'm sure other will agree that this issue has led to, and will continue to lead to, alert…

State line alerts/voice prompt
I love Waze, I use it all the time! I drive almost 2000 miles a week for work, One thing I would love to have as a feature is state prompts or when you cross the state line if it announced welcome to "state name". sometimes when you're driving on back roads they don't always have the Stateline sign, I've even missed The big ones on the highway. It would just be nice to have a voice prompt simply say welcome to "state name" thanks!

Automatic switch metric/imperial units
Have measurement units change automatically when crossing into a country with a different system. Perhaps include an auditory and visual alert as well.

AUDIBLE ALERTS
CAN AN AUDIBLE ALERT BE ADDED FOR PLANNED DRIVES??? MAYBE A BEEP BEEP? Too many times I plan a trip and I miss the text notifications. If it were audible I doubt that I would’ve missed it.

Speed / red light camera alerts announced too early on local steeets
Speed / red light camera alerts are announced too early on local steeets currently.
Most of the time, the alert is announced over 750m away. And on local streets, it is very likely that there there would be multiple other intersections before reaching it. So by the time the actual camera location is reached, the alert is already forgotten.
Please make it so that the camera alerts are announced closer to the actual camera while on city streets (around 200 - 250m). Or add a second alert when "approaching speed / red light camera", in addition to the…1 vote -
Thanks/Not There
Instead of having the alert (example “Vehicle Stopped) and then the two options (Thanks / Not There)… you should have Thanks on top, the alert in the middle, and not there on the bottom. This will reduce accidental misreporting. We’re trying to drive and can’t stare at the screen. Help us help you. 😀

Do AWAY with cartoonish “rewards”
Do AWAY with the cartoonish rewards! This is a useful app and not a ridiculous game. Going 75mph down the highway and I “verify” a car on the side of the road and as soon as I do I come over a small rise and there’s a car in the left shoulder partially in the fast lane and the ridiculous cartoon rewards are still flashing so I can’t press the notification button to alert other drivers!! It’s either a game or a useful app, stop trying to make it both!!

Police camera ≠ police report
In some countries, it is not allowed to drive with an app giving the exact locations of police cameras (automatic speed control), waze intelligently gives the area where the police cameras are (very useful alert and the utilization of waze is allowed).
But to fight the concept of the "area" most of drivers post a police location each time they pass beside a police camera (I have observed it, a police camera in Paris France is reported every 15 min, sometime several times).
Consequence : waze gives the exact location of each police cameras everyday, every time.

Time in traffic
Alert users of the time they will spend in traffic on highways etc before the off-ramp. The alert always come up after you have gone past the turn off so you are stuck sitting in the traffic.

Make fully customizable alerts
You guys should make the alerts customizable. For example, I want to get the app to make a sound when I'm approaching a speed camera or something while above the speed limit. Now, if I set the sound as "Alerts" it only makes a sound when there's a speed bump which is useless because there are 6 street signs before every bump! Make a big list of all possible alerts and allow the user to choose what they want to define as alert deserving stuff

Better 'ok Google' voice control
Since its simple enough to configure Google to auto-listen for 'ok Google' and its voice recognition is much faster than the three-finger touch version in Waze, could Waze implement a full set of commands for the 'ok Google' interface?
Examples:
* Okay Google, Navigate home with Waze (obvious)
* Okay Google, Send alert police with Waze (sends notification)
* Okay Google, Add stop, coffee with Waze (opens the add-stop interface with a search result for 'coffee')
