Stopping the app. Is still difficult. It needs to be a big easy to see END ROUTE. To stop the app. And be able to enter something else
A big easy to see “End Route “button that would take you right back to where you can enter in a new destination.

When you reach your destination have a little subtle button coming up that will re route to where you left from.

Stop forcing toll routes
I use waze every day for my daily commute and love almost everything about the app.
That being said, I am frustrated with a recent update in regards to the routing options. I used to be able to select avoid toll roads, and all of the routes provided would be toll free. Now, even if I have avoid toll roads selected, there is still one or more routes showing toll options. I live here, I know where the toll roads are, and if I wanted to spend an extra $100/wk I wouldn't need Waze as those roads always…

allow calculate routes from the main screen with one click
in order to avoid distractions during driving i wish you allow calculate routes from the main screen with one click. it happens a lot i need to decide which road to take during a fast drive and i need to operate waze to calculate the best route.

Add blue highlighting for police traps & advanced warnings
When driving on the interstates waze should highlight your report of police warning blue along your route to notify the all directions of police traps

Waze Joyride - Plan cookie munching trip
Instead of navigating from A to B, can I plan a circular route with as much cookie munching as possible? My regular commute no longer suggests new routes, but I'd like to explore the area and have say a 30 min trip validating as many roads as possible.
33 votesThis is available – in the route settings, you can choose ‘prefer cookie munching’. This will make the route a bit longer, but will include more road munching, where available.

School buses & GPS
School buses have GPS now. It would be nice if the app would show active school buses in the area so we can avoid frequent and delaying stops along their route.

Add arrive button
Sometimes when arriving at very large places, Waze thinks that you arrive only when you are in the front door of the place. Think for example in a mall, the parking lot will be huge, but Waze already traced the route until the front door.
An "arrive" button will help Waze to understand that you are already at your destination and there is no need to recalculate the route while you are looking for a parking spot9 votes -

Recently we have had several sandstorms that affected the drive greatly limiting visibility. I would like to be able to warn drivers or learn of sandstorms on my route.

Daily Weekday Morning Traffic Report
I would like to receive a morning traffic report every weekday when I wake up to know of any hazards or traffic delays and the fastest / recommended route prior to departing to work (same destination every morning). Ideally, this would be pushed to the notification center and have the ability to be spoken (briefly stating that your preferred route is slower than usual or a wreck at a location and to use HWY 80 instead, etc.).

EV range prediction
How about a feature that predicts EV range for a given route? It would need to account for vertical climb and descent. ID car to predict performance via manual input configuration, or better yet Android auto or mfg's car app.

Remembering travelled routes
Let say I plan a trip from point a to b.
However I make a few wrong turns along the way.
Is it possible for Waze to show the planned route and the actual route so that new drivers can see their mistake and learn from it?1 vote -
Temporary HOV/Carpool lanes
If I'm in a 2+ vehicle, it would be nice if a route preferred HOV lanes. In my area, there is a "temporary" HOV lane which has a different direction in morning and evening. (See US-93 between Boston and Braintree MA)
20 votesThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

Viewing Alternate Routes
Bring back the ability for users to view alternate routes on their phone. Right now I can only view alternate routes using my car display. Why? I often want to plan my route before getting in the car. Why are you forcing users to be in the vehicle to plan their route?

Block a turn only to myself.
A single segment makes my daily travel to work and son therapy only 1-2 minutes shorter, but through a neighborhood I avoid because it's full of turns and bad pavement. I wish I could make that single turn red on the WME but only for me so Waze can route me to any other route it sees better for me.

toll estimator
today while driving I was given a choice of three routes, all of which had tolls. It would be great if there was an estimate on how much the total tolls would be for each route since I know from personal experience that one of the routes given had substantially lower tolls and only added two minutes to the trip

Create tours by driving a route and saving it and then be able to email it to family and friends.
By creating and saving tours that you can email or replay you can send them to family, friends, or business associates and have them tour a location or route to show them the best the area has to offer. Realtors could use it to show homes and neighborhoods to prospective buyers.

After the last update, both while en route and when viewing the map, the iOS display dims turn turns off.
After the last update, both while en route and when viewing the map, the iOS display dims turn turns off. In earlier versions I thought there was a feature to disable the auto-dim feature while the app is in the foreground. Did this go away or is this a bug?
