1. have a countdown of kilometres based on the speed limit when going into a tunnel

   Any time you drive into a tunnel that goes underground the GPS thinks you’re above the ground and starts changing the directions as it thinks you’re above the ground on the Street level when underground in the tunnel so if you need to then go 20 km in the tunnel and there’s various exits. How do you know how far you’ve driven in order to get to your exit underground when it’s recalculating because it thinks you’re above the ground and never figures it out that you’re actually still in the tunnel. So maybe have an option where people can choose if they would like a rough estimation of a countdown almost but instead of time it’s kilometres based off the speed limit so it’s 80 km/h it’ll be out of metres of kilometres based on that speed limit. You have to figure that part out but having the current option which is it loses you underground starts giving you directions for above the ground. You have absolutely no idea , where you are and where you’re going. Thanks

3. Save Battery by turning off the display when not in use.

   Currently when I use waze, my phones display is draining the battery. I have the following suggestion to reduce the battery usage. If you could include this in future release, I am sure everyone will turn on waze even if they don't need navigation assist.

   My suggestion

   Turn off the display automatically after a certain speed or give the user an option to turn off the display without locking the phone. This will be very helpful to reduce battery usage when you travel familiar routes and long road trips.

   Turn on the display automatically when there is a voice command and when the vehicle is below certain speed. (that's when users look at the display) and have an option to turn on the display by waving hand in front of the camera.

4. Speeding

   Please add an option (for users who choose to turn it on) to have Waze make a loud annoying sound continuously for as long as we are over our selected speeding threshold. A single alert tone that sounds like every other alert tone is not enough for me and my lead foot. I need to be punished.

5. I would like Waze to show me the recommended speed to avoid multiple stops while in slow moving traffic jam

   Especially when driving regular gear cars, you prefer to drive slowly but steady, rather than stopping and accelerating consistently. This is also favorable in fuel consumption manners. In the long run, if a lot of users will obey this feature it could consequently help to promote the traffic congestion by preventing multiple stops, and improve the traffic flow.

6. Add more option then just police

   We have the option to alert police are in a certain place, which people put when there are speed cameras. I think there should be a camera alert for speed cameras and the police alert be used for RBT set ups, when highway patrol are out with speed guns etc.

7. New hiden speed cameras in athens not shown on map

   SUBJECT: Missing speed/red light cameras in Athens & National Highway – Immediate risk for users

   Dear team,

   I’m a professional taxi driver who drives tens of thousands of kilometers every year in Athens and on the Athens–Lamia National Highway. I use Waze and Google Maps daily. However, the lack of updated data on new cameras has become a serious risk for your users.

   What’s happening:

   1. In Athens:

   Dozens of new traffic cameras have been installed on major roads (Kifisos Ave., Kifisias, Dyrrachiou, Moschato, Nea Filadelfia, etc.).

   These are white with black base, featuring a small glass window, supposedly for “traffic monitoring.”

   However, they are already issuing fines, e.g. a reversal violation at Panormou & Kifisias, confirmed by SMS within 3 hours, even though there’s only one visible camera there – a “monitoring” one.

   These do not appear in Waze or Google Maps as fixed or mobile cameras.

   1. On the Athens–Lamia National Road:

   At kilometer 250, there are new cameras that capture vehicles up to 2 km away. The limit there is just 80 km/h, a clear trap.

   They’ve installed cross-facing cameras on both directions to scan both lanes.

   Just before Kandriti tolls (coming toward Athens) there’s a digital info board with an integrated camera, tracking speed and taking photos.

   Our demand is simple:

   Update your maps immediately to include these active cameras, to protect your users.

   If there’s no local editor, assign one or send a professional to document them.

   I do not ask to become editor. I only care that drivers are fairly warned, as in every civilized country.

   If needed, I can provide photos and exact locations. This is not personal, it’s about transparency and public safety.

   And worse: Political deception

   In Greece, there’s a recurring pattern of public deception by the authorities.

   The Ministry claims that “cameras will be used only for red lights” or “will activate from November 1st” – yet they’re already issuing full fines for all violations.

   This was proven by a reversal fine confirmed by text message, from a spot where only a traffic-monitoring camera exists.

   In other words, citizens are deliberately misled and ambushed, at a time when fines are economically devastating.

   Why this matters:

   Thousands of drivers receive fines unknowingly, without prior warning.

   Your apps, without updates, mislead rather than assist.

   The Greek government provides zero public signs or indications.

   The fine system is not income-adjusted – rich and poor pay the same. Totally unfair.

   If you truly respect your users, act now. Otherwise, your platform becomes part of a nationwide trap.

8. Report portable flex speed camera's

   There are new flex speedcamera's in the Netherlands where they set it up and keep it for a few weeks. For 2 days i have been reporting this on the map and my report gets removed. the first time the report got confirmed by another waze driver. Meanwhile flitsmeister has it updated and it does not get deleted. so all the flitsmeister users are not getting fined but waze users do!!!! please fix this

   Police Otherside has been eliminated?! Not showing on roads previously used. Police other side is gone from choices. Why? Many municipalities are about revenue and not safety. Artificially low speed limits are cash cows.

10. Haptic alert

    Hi

    I want all speed alerts to be vibrational - via Apple Watch. I need the feature to be active all the time, so when I run out door and jump in car I know I will be alerted every time I exceed a speed limit. I need the vibration to continue until speed is back within limit.

    This is essential for a motorcycle rider and I think best option for car driver also, you can be looking at phone or expecting to hear a ph in noisey environment, let alone feel a vib from phone in a loose coat pocket.

    It’s a logical step forward and would like to see these options implemented quickly - save lives and license

11. Speed up the opening page

    App lacks responsiveness when first open. This has gotten worst over time.

    When open. I want to select or enter location, but WAZE is none responsive “tapping on screen has no effect”. This all happens during initial entry.

12. select trailer or caravan

    Driving through 6 different countries from Netherlands to Italy with my trailer. You sometimes forget what the legal speed limits are in each country. It would be great to be able to select a car-trailer combination. also because the travel time is very different if you compair this with a single car.

13. Optional "no map" (trip computer) view when route is known

    8 out of 10 times I use Waze driving to and from work, a route I know very well so I don't need Waze to show me my position on the map.
    What I instead would like is a "trip computer" kind of interface, showing me things like my current speed, current speed limit (if known), maybe a color code for traffic ahead on route (green, yellow, red), ETA, current road name (nice to have, not need to have - I know where I am), live updates of incidents (needs to update themselves automatically), textual navigation instructions like "turn right in XX meters" (again optional as I know this route), and a few large buttons for Reporting, Alternative Route Now! (will open map view), Menu.
    Police traps and cameras should trigger a large popup window when approaching.
    Other optional items on the trip computer screen: GPS signal strength, GPS time, heading, avg speed, distance driven, distance to dest, etc.
    It would be cool if the colors of this screen (and even the fonts?) could be customized to match the car's dashboard lighting, or to work optimal for night use or to save battery usage (black background, green or red characters, dim light unless police/cam warning).

14. Add option to select car pool when navigating

    Lets popup "carpool?" button after choosing destination in carpool times. This will help to get corresponding exits and more precise calculations. Sometimes traffic stopped while carpool is open and I dont want to get average estimation and alternative route. Thanks!

17. Alert sounds

    Please can you add the ability to enable Wazers to select alert sounds. The speed limit alert sound is so short and quiet it is almost impossible to hear even at full volume. The ringing bell for roadworks is so loud and clear but doesn’t really need to be! I would love to be able to select the sound for each alert notification. Thanks!

    Great timing! We’re currently working on having an option to select alert sounds. Keep an eye out for updates in your app store.

18. Add the Traffic Light time to green and recommended speed to avoid red lights capability for cities that have this info. Time to red is also

    Utilize data from cities that have traffic light info available.
    
    Calculate red light timing where this data from cities are not yet available. Bu using existing Wyze traffic data at high traffic red light intersections you can provide most of this valuable info directly.
    
    With this data on directions map display:

    • Show time to red ( useful for red light cams and avoid accidents)
    • Show Time to green
    • Show ideal speed to minimize red lights

19. When you report a mobile camera it should stay up forever just like the speed traps

    In Israel, the police put mobile cameras that take a photo of the driver using his phone. If you report a mobile camera, the report doesn’t stay on the map for long even though the cameras stay in the same place for sometimes a week and sometimes a year mobile cameras that are reported should stay on the map for as long as speed traps stay on the map, which is forever
