Default app for car dock action
When I put my Galaxy S3 in my car dock android automatically launches a default app. My only two choices are Google S Voice, Google navigation app or the Verizon navigation app. I want to chose Waze. Please make it an option to be launched when a phone is put in a car dock.

In app widget
A great feature would be an in app widget for reports. Let the users choose a report shortcut to be added on the map. Just push one button of choice to send a report. It would be much better for safety.
My reports consists mostly of car on shoulder, I’d love to add a shortcut for that on my map.7 votes -
dark mode
Your latest update has messed around with dark mode and I’d like to highlight a potentially dangerous problem. Dark mode used to automatically activate however now it doesn’t leaving a bright white screen during night driving on Apple car play. This is extremely dangerous
The only way to prevent this is to open your phone and then open Waze which enables dark mode. Please fix asap

Carpooling, picking friends up
I pick my friends up for college every morning and I would love Waze to offer a way to remember carpooling groups and requests. That way I would only have to open the app and let my "college group" know I'm leaving. Each one of them would receive my ETA to their location and would let them know (individually) when they have to go on the street to hop on the car. Similarly, they would also be able to check my location and ETA to their location at any time.

CarPlay Display of My location
It’s great that Waze is now available on CarPlay. However one thing I’ve noticed is the route ahead is often obscured by the turn/ETA tiles. This is because the location of your car is dead centre on the screen. If your location was offset to the side (like Google and Apple maps) this situation would be improved.

Improve Waze car play.
It would be nice if you can get to the bottom of why the reporting button doesn’t work on car play. I mean it navigates but when ever I click the report or alerts button nothing works. Any suggestions.

Report menu redesign
Nowadays reporting menu is not fluent enough to use while driving, especially when reporting hazards, due to heavy use of text in the menus Latest update even made the font smaller...
I feel that hazard report menu should contain icons in the same matter the main menu uses them. Meaning: car, animal and anything else should have an icon describing. Thus, making the reporting duty during driving a hell of a lot easier. Same goes with the lane choice for the report (you can barely see those tiny arrows there).6 votes -
Tips: please customize hazard icons. i.e. rain = cloud w/ drops, constr. = hard hat, car stop = flat tire... Easy to read when driving.

Re-arranging the waze application display for "landscape" screens
On a 7" car display, which is a "landscape" display, the Waze application displays the "Next turn" box, including the turn description, on about a quarter of the screen, sometimes even larger. The Result is that the on-coming road map is covered by the box, and the "turn area" shows only at the last minute. For such a "landscape" display the screen display should be re-arranged so that the important part of the on-coming map shall not be hidden until the very last minute, similar to the standard "portrait" telephone display.

It's a good idea to have the option of adding a warning that the area, street or neighborhood etc by where will move the car is DANGEROUS
24 hours ago I had an accident that marked my life incredibly , I waze shot by an alternate route as the main highway was closed by arrangements . I collided and the worst was not that was in the area where I crashed . I do this because I want to know if there is any way that the waze app you can incorporate a notice as DANGER, DANGER ZONE between another , and so one assesses whether or not to go for it. WAZE to Catch Criminals
First as police officer for 35 years I think waze is great and makes our job easier. The goal of every law enforcement agency is (if not shame on them) voluntary compliance with the law. If the mere presence of a police car causes motorists to communicate via waze and slow down, then our job is done without the hazards of a traffic stop!

How to install waze on my car
I have a 2013 Astra Opel OPC and I can only use my car sound system for calls and I use a separate plug in my cigarette lighter to listen to my music from my phone through the car sound system. Do I need to update my car sound system for easier use?

Improve Waze for all (professional drivers like taxi drivers, truck drivers and bus drivers as well)
Feedback for Waze Improvements (Australia-specific but globally relevant):
1. Map and Speed Limit Accuracy
• Please update maps and speed limit data more frequently, especially in Australia where road rules and limits are often updated.
• Ensure that the speedometer always shows the correct speed limit without disappearing or failing, as this can mislead drivers and cause unintentional speeding.

3D Touch menú to change vehicle type
I love motorcycle mode. Half the time I'm on the motorcycle, half the time I'm in a car. I wish there was a 3D Touch menu to change vehicle type because I'm changing from car to motorcycle many times a week.

On iOS simply click on your car arrow to open the switch vehicle type menu. On Android you can do same, or you can call out this menu by clicking “Car info” at the bottom of the screen. -

Houston needs waze help!
We are in Houston. Post-Harvey. With a large percentage of Houston's transportation having lost access to their cars or mobility resources. Our city is not built around public transport. Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider beta testing or opening the carpool app so that people in Houston can use it? Where I work (we have 50,000 people) coming and going every day, we could make a huge push for it. Please do consider!

Enable drawing polygon areas where Closures cannot be applied
Use-case:
There is a bridge under construction where only one direction is open at a time, controlled by traffic lights. Currently, Waze often shows it as closed, even though cars are just waiting for the light to change.
Proposal:
Add a feature in WME to draw a polygon-shaped area where closures cannot be applied — useful for cases like temporary one-lane bridges with traffic lights, where Waze should display a queue instead of a closure.

Allow users to choose to display routes on their Phone instead forcing on the Android Auto
Allow users to choose whether to use their phone as Waze for routes or Android Auto as the main display, instead of forcing it to display on Android Auto. Some people want to stream music using Android Auto and use their phones to see directions, as it doesn't distract them from the road. Some head units in cars are positioned lower from the direction of the road and are more of a hassle to look at while driving.

The Green line - (Energy/ Gasoline)
The green line- When a Wazer checks optional routes (and also in the preferences/initial destination route) the most energy efficient route shall be marked as the "Green Line".The Wazer should provide Waze with its car model, design, and year so Waze could calculate the energy consumption.There is a difference between the routes because of distance, time, type of ride etc.At the end of the ride the Wazer will be provided with estimated carbon footprint.From Waze perspective - much more data... and from there you can think about many products and ways to monetize it
