1. Vehicle Type - Van to be added

   Under Vehicle Type in Settings, Could there be a vehicle type for Vans that shows the correct speed you can go on certain roads, as in the UK Vans are restricted on speed on certain types of roads like on a national speed limit single carriageway it 50mph for a van instead of 60mph, aswell as a dual carriageway it’s 60mph instead of 70mph.

2. Alerts

   Can you change the alerts so that cameras are warned at any speed nit just when at speed limit or above. Many times I've approached under the speed limit, had no audible warning then my speeds increased as I've got closer

3. Screen space landscape

   The landscape view of the map has too many things on screen. The black navigation pane covers the speed limit and the speed camera alert also covers most of the screen. I am using larger font sizing as my eyes aren't great and the scaling makes this situation even worse.

   Can the screen space be arranged so items don't cover each other in landscape.

   Maybe a new set of icons/thin banner on the "side" instead of going along the whole "bottom" of the screen when in landscape.

   Also Samsung phone has polarised screen to help viewing in sunlight but with sunglasses (when driving) this makes the screen unusable in portrait. So forced to use waze in landscape. Therefore landscape needs to be arranged better.

4. Merge two or more alerts

   Today Waze prioritize some alerts and you only have 1 visible and audible alert, even if it has 2 or more in the location.

   My suggestion is that in this case Waze can "merge" these alerts. Something like "Speed trap and accident reported ahead"

   We plan to work on merging two or more alerts in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.  

5. Ask about traffic slowdown when going significantly less than the speed limit

   When going slow, but not quite slow enough to ask about a traffic jam (e.g. a fairly consistent 30mph in a 70mph zone), especially when in a construction zone, have it ask about a slowdown similar to jams.

6. have a countdown of kilometres based on the speed limit when going into a tunnel

   Any time you drive into a tunnel that goes underground the GPS thinks you’re above the ground and starts changing the directions as it thinks you’re above the ground on the Street level when underground in the tunnel so if you need to then go 20 km in the tunnel and there’s various exits. How do you know how far you’ve driven in order to get to your exit underground when it’s recalculating because it thinks you’re above the ground and never figures it out that you’re actually still in the tunnel. So maybe have an option where people can choose if they would like a rough estimation of a countdown almost but instead of time it’s kilometres based off the speed limit so it’s 80 km/h it’ll be out of metres of kilometres based on that speed limit. You have to figure that part out but having the current option which is it loses you underground starts giving you directions for above the ground. You have absolutely no idea , where you are and where you’re going. Thanks

9. 1) Update speed limit with smart motorways

   1) update smart motorway speeds more frequently as most the time it’s not up to date.
   2) make it easier to see which route is the most economical and which is the fastest. Sometimes I wanna drive economically but it’s harder to see which route is lowest miles.

10. Registration plate recognition and automatic tagging of police vehicles

    Due to the proliferation of unmarked police cars and unmarked mobile speed cameras (parked cars) with no warning signs, it is now necessary to take it one step further and use the video feed from dash cams (both front and rear) and character recognition to automatically tag a police vehicle by its registration plate (after that registration plate has been manually tagged). If a user is travelling with that vehicle, the vehicle's location would be updated live. Once that user breaks away from the police vehicle, the location would then be picked up and updated live by other Waze users who have detected the tagged registration plate.

    To manually tag a registration plate, the user would report a police vehicle as normal, but the next screen might list all the current registration plates in view and the user would simply click a button next to the appropriate pre-filled selection. It might even be possible to take a snapshot of the front/rear dashcam views when the "report" button was selected so that the user can manually fill out the registration plate later on, when it is safe to do so (i.e when stopped).

    The system could work on "votes" where as long as the number of "thumbs up" votes exceed the "thumbs down" votes, the registration plate is linked as being a police vehicle. This would also ensure that the police themselves couldn't un-tag their registration plates.

    It may also increase the accuracy of tagging. If a tagged plate is no longer where it was last seen (perhaps after a set period of time, or if the plate is seen elsewhere), it will automatically be removed from that location and would reappear when the next user's Waze picks up the plate's new location.

    I believe this could potentially help save lives, not only because it will make drivers more aware of police vehicles and drive more carefully, but also because they will be less likely to be taken by surprise as their dashcam will be able to automatically recognise a parked vehicle as being an unmarked police car or mobile speed camera. Drivers are sometimes prone to behaving erratically when they suddenly realise a parked car is a mobile speed camera, whether they are speeding or not, and will slam on their brakes and/or drive well under the speed limit. Hopefully this feature will reduce the likelihood of this happening.

11. Improve Waze for all (professional drivers like taxi drivers, truck drivers and bus drivers as well)

    Feedback for Waze Improvements (Australia-specific but globally relevant):
    1. Map and Speed Limit Accuracy
    • Please update maps and speed limit data more frequently, especially in Australia where road rules and limits are often updated.
    • Ensure that the speedometer always shows the correct speed limit without disappearing or failing, as this can mislead drivers and cause unintentional speeding.
    • Improve reliability so the speedometer never stops working unexpectedly.
    2. Audible Alerts and Driver Focus
    • Introduce louder and clearer spoken alerts for every speed limit change, so drivers do not have to look at their phone screen.
    • Provide audible alerts for all types of cameras (speed cameras, red-light cameras, mobile speed traps, school zone cameras, bus lane cameras, etc.), not just fixed speed cameras.
    • This would greatly improve driver safety and focus on the road, especially for professional drivers who cannot afford distractions.
    3. Truck and Bus Navigation
    • Add full navigation support for all classes of heavy vehicles, including:
    • Light Rigid (LR)
    • Medium Rigid (MR)
    • Heavy Rigid (HR)
    • Heavy Combination (HC)
    • Multi-Combination (MC)
    • All categories of buses.
    • Include truck- and bus-specific routing options, such as avoiding low bridges, restricted roads, weight limits, and bus-only roads.
    • Many drivers who rely on Waze for personal car trips would also like to use Waze for their professional work in trucks and buses, but currently, Waze does not fully meet these needs.
    4. Professional Driver Use Case
    • Waze has a huge opportunity to support professional drivers (truckers, bus drivers, delivery drivers, etc.) who want the same smart navigation and community-based alerts they enjoy in their cars.
    • Expanding features to include heavy vehicle navigation and more robust audible alerts would make Waze not only the best app for personal use but also the top choice for professional driving.

14. is there a way to speed up or bypass the go now screen? I drive for Uber and Lyft and response time is very critical. Please advise.

    Hi, I would like to suggest that at the section where we choose to avoid unpaved roads, freeways, tols etc, you could include the choice to Avoid Red light Cameras or other permanent road cameras.

17. Speeding

    Please add an option (for users who choose to turn it on) to have Waze make a loud annoying sound continuously for as long as we are over our selected speeding threshold. A single alert tone that sounds like every other alert tone is not enough for me and my lead foot. I need to be punished.

18. On a feedback there is no ability to report INCORRECT SPEED LIMITATIONS.IE Waze shows 50 KM/hour in a 40 Km/hour area

    Need to be able to press the golden diamond and notify speed display incorrect. This could be a permanent road change as on the Esplanade , Lindisfarne Tas. where 50 shows in 40 zone, or temporary restriction for roadworks

19. I would like Waze to show me the recommended speed to avoid multiple stops while in slow moving traffic jam

    Especially when driving regular gear cars, you prefer to drive slowly but steady, rather than stopping and accelerating consistently. This is also favorable in fuel consumption manners. In the long run, if a lot of users will obey this feature it could consequently help to promote the traffic congestion by preventing multiple stops, and improve the traffic flow.

You can see there is or there isn't police car, but policescan radar not all wazers see, because it is small, night time, put near trees, or in the back. I think if somebody mark hidden police, and other wazers can't unmark it 4-6hours it will be better
