  1. Make the speedometer movable (floating mode)

    Hi Waze team,

I’d like to suggest adding an option to make the speedometer movable or floating. When using Waze in landscape mode, alerts such as speed camera warnings sometimes cover the speedometer, making it impossible to see the current speed. I often rely on it because it shows the exact speed, so having the ability to move or reposition it would be very helpful.

Thank you for considering this improvement!

  2. Ability to swap sides for navigation and information

My Android Head unit in landscape mode has the navigation on the right side of the screen, and where to, menu and directions on the left.

In the UK with right hand drive and screen on the left I find this works for me. However, I'm sure that those in left hand drive countries may benefit from this being swapped around.

An option to "switch navigation position" or "driver seat position", would be ideal.

  3. Refined UI

This may not pertain to most people, but for those of you who use the Waze app in the landscape view may have similar issues. First of all, the alert box for train crossings and red light cameras takes up approximately 40% of the bottom of the screen, as well as the direction arrows information covers the speed display. Some of the other icons are piled on top of each other. If the UI were to be more like the Android auto version of Waze or Gmaps it would be much better and easier to use.

    Take a look at…

  5. Navigation screen for Routes has a problem

On Portrait screen, I may have 3 alternate routes that all appear the same.....

    1. Via: Central Expwy Mountain View;...
      45 min. 16.8miles

    2. Via: Central Expwy Mountain View;...
      42 min. 16.7miles

    3. Via: Central Expwy Mountain View;...
      49 min. 17.2miles

Waze should verify that the 3 "cut to fit" texts are not identical. If they ARE identical, Waze should abbreviate the hell out of them.

Sure, landscape clarifies things, but it's a pain to swap.

  6. In my convertible I prefer slower roads

I would love the option of driving on slower roads. Think of it as an extension of "avoid highways" but with the option of setting the speed limit that you don't want to exceed and let the excellent navigator that we all love plot the course out of our needs and wants.
I would love to be able to set Waze to calculate routes never exceeding the speed of my choice. Especially when we decide to drive slowly through the landscape in the cabriolet. When you drive with the top of you want slower roads than usual because it's a…

  7. "Workers Present" Notification

Posts a notification for both sides/median of the roadway which identifies workers (road crew, landscaping, linemen, etc) present either near or on the roadway. The concern is for their safety.

  8. Hazard alerts

Hi, I love the app. Been using it for years! I really like the new version and the new layout but I have one problem. I use my phone in the car in landscape mode and what happens is when there's a hazard the banner covers almost the entire screen so all I can see is the little arrow indicating my car and I can't see any of the street ahead of me. This makes it very difficult to navigate and I end up waving these banners away without being able to either thumbs-up or thumbs-down them. The old version…

  9. Remove "car info" auto hide search box and center

I know these been suggested many times and I really wonder who makes the UI/UX decisions here but they clearly don't take any feedback or common sense seriously.

The persistent "car info". Why is it there? Why does it need to be on the map all the time? You think people like to flick through the options whilst driving? What's the point of that in the first place. REMOVE! Please remove

The search box in landscape mode and centered alignment. I see this been mentioned million times over many YEARS. Why won't you make it auto hide after few seconds…

  10. Suggestion to Enhance Camera Alert and Speed Warning Features

Subject: Suggestion to Enhance Camera Alert and Speed Warning Features

    Dear Waze Team,

I’m reaching out to share a suggestion for an improved alert system in the Waze app, specifically for users who are driving in horizontal phone orientation. This change would make it easier to understand alerts in critical situations, such as approaching speed cameras, and improve overall road safety.
Suggested Features for Improved Camera Alert and Speed Management:

    Dynamic Color-Coded Speed Warning Line
When a vehicle is going faster than the speed limit, the navigation line or speedometer could turn red to clearly indicate overspeeding, especially as it

  14. How is Machine Learning different from AI?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are two of today's most widely used buzzwords in the cutting-edge technological scene. While they're sometimes used interchangeably, they're respective but related areas. AI is the general term that refers to developing systems that can carry out tasks that would otherwise need human intelligence, while machine learning refers to a subset of AI that enables systems to learn from data and get better over time without being specifically programmed. It's important for students, professionals, and organizations to understand the difference between AI and ML because it determines how they can effectively use the…
