while travelling, what we need is real time alerts on our mobile and also on FM radio
I have 2 ideas to improve WAZE
While travelling, the passenger vehicle driver needs alerts on his/her mobile and also on FM radio, This can be made possible by tapping the mobile numbers of the drives when they start travelling. As soon the vehicle engine is started, via blue tooth the driver mobile numbers should get integrated with the passenger vehicle GPS system. This will enable drivers to get automatic alerts w.r.t to traffic jams, accidents etc. The radius of the alerts should be sent to vehicles which are in the radius of 1-2 miles. The problem is that the search option covers part of the display and the area containing the map is unacceptable, so that the left half is useless while the right half only contains the car and navigation. Not an app but a mate.
In that line of thinking, Waze could be more playful. Not just telling you where to go, but adding value because Waze knows you. For example, If Waze is responsible enough for remembering not to leave your child…

Android auto/ waze YouTube music bar is now gone an replaced with app icons
The skip song pause music bar for YouTube music is now gone when running Android auto while using waze. This is now a big issue as that bar has been replaced with all the app icons so I now physically have to tap the YouTube music icon an open the app up then change/pause my music which takes my eyes off the road way more then before so this is a serious issue. I don't know if this is a waze issue or Android auto as I didn't have this happen till the new update for Android auto just came…
