  1. Variable distance until off-ramp

    When on a 4, 5, or 6 lane highway, traveling at highway speeds in the left lane, in moderate or congested traffic in the left lane, I really need more than 1 mile notice of an offramp. So it'd be nice if either (a) the distance to a turn was related to speed (e.g., at 25 miles an hour, a mile notice is good, but at 65 miles an hour a three mile notice would be better) AND/OR (b) users having the ability to set the distance that they want turn-notices to be announced.

  2. Ad a ”hide me at this address" function

    Suggestion: Make an option to hide me from view to all other wazers within a radius of ?200? meters from a selected address
    Why: For example, At home I want to follow my wife/husband coming from work, and I turn waze on, now everyone can see where I (my nickname) live. From there it is easy to track me when I am home or out at it becomes easy to track my routines.
    In the long run it would be nice if accepted friends could se you at home, and that you could choose our own radius.

  3. Emergency Request: Person/Animal on The Road!

    We seriously need a REPORT PERSON on the Road Button!
    Today there was a person walking on the Far Right Lane where People with Car Problems are Parking,

    A car in front of me Suddely steer to the left, hitting another car almost. because some one was walking there.

    I wanted to report a situation, but couldnt find the fitting Report for it.

    ALSO ADD a REPORT By Voice option. for drivers

  5. Allow Waze to resume my route after I stop.

    When I stop along my route, Waze doesn't resume my route when I get back in the car. I have to re-program the route. This will force me to return to Google Maps as my travel app when I'd prefer to use Waze.

  7. School bus partnerships

    As a parent, and as many otther parents share the same concern, we want to know where our kids are when on a school bus. There are times when buses run an hour late and we have no idea where our kid is. If Waze partnered with bus companies, notifications could be pushed to Waze users who are connected with their children's bus to alert them.

  11. Comments on PURs

    It would be nice to have a comment section on a PUR, especially for pictures. It would allow the editors to give a reason why the picture or update is being rejected. So maybe the next time they would try to take a better picture that did not include, faces, license plates, etc. I think this would help the community be more aware of what we as editors can accept. I think being able to tell them the reasons instead of just rejecting it would help more, due to the fact users my be confused or upset that their pictures…

  12. "alerts only" mode should include rerouting notifications

    Currently, there are 3 sound modes, which is great. "On", "Off" and "Alerts Only". I use "On", when I've never been there before and "Alerts Only" during my daily commute. I love the Alerts Only mode for a daily commute. Problem is, sometimes Waze sees an issue ahead during my commute and only makes a screen notification. I'd really want to be alerted about that.

    So I'd like "Alerts Only" to consider a rerouting notification as an alert and not 'normal' navigation instructions.

  14. Add 'beep only' option to the sound options

    I now have the options: no sound / alerts only / sound on. I'd like a quiet mode, but I don't want to miss navigation cues. A beep only mode would be nice.

  15. New instructions for crossroad junctions/interchange

    In the UK, there has been an ongoing debate on the most effective way to map crossroad junctions where drivers have to cross a main road without priority, as shown in this image:

    The default instructions do not include guidance for routes that go straight, leading to URs for missing instructions even when no turns are required. As there's no instruction, the driver may not realise they have to give way/stop, leading to a potential accident.

    If we were to add a "Continue" instruction, it may imply priority, which is not the case, and again, this may lead to…

  16. Combine waze and google maps

    It would be better to allocate servers for long trips as well. It would make Waze better. Also, why not incorporate the waze reporting and crowdsourcing features into Google maps?  I would even pay a monthly subscription for that.

  17. Ghost driver alert

    A new alert would be interesting to have to alert drivers on a specific route that a ghost driver is coming their way and that they should be cautious, maybe telling them to stay in a lane and to reduce their speed.

  18. Show Roadshields without voice output

    It would be great to show Roadshields on the smartphone client without voice output.
    At the moment we can show "straight ahead" without voice instruction with the lane assistant tool on WME. This function shows the detail "continue straight" only (without voice output).
    It would be great to setup Roadshields and give them a flag "show only, without voice output". Roadshields are a powerful tool and can help to find the right direction. But a voice output isn't necessary always.
