1. Issue tracker, disabling automatic refresh after closing for example UR

   Issue Tracker is otherwise good but one part of it's behaviour is driving me nuts!

   When you close for example an UR it refreshes the list automatically -> You lose track where you were on the list. So you end up clicking same reports over and over again every time you close something...

   I liked the old UR list behaviour better when solved one's stayed on the list until you refreshed it, you never lost the track where you were on the list. And there is a refresh button on Issue Tracker so WHY does it also have to refresh automatically???

   Bonjour, je me permets de vous contacter pour vous soumettre une idée qui pourrait rendre votre application encore plus attractive et qui pourrait rendre service à un grand nombre de personnes...

   Étant actuellement à la recherche du petit chien de ma sœur qui à fugué, j'utilise Waze pour vérifier les signalements d'animaux morts sur les routes (en espérant ne pas le retrouver de cette manière).

   L'idée est qu'il serait vraiment très pratique de développer une option permettant de signaler des animaux errants... Encore plus pratique, un service permettant de signaler aux conducteurs qu'un animal est recherché dans une zone précise (un peu comme les zones de controle radar mais avec une photo de l'animal recherché apparaissant dans un coin).

   Cette idée permettrait de renforcer la communauté Waze et en ferait un réel outil apportant de l'espoir à des personnes qui recherchent désespérément leurs compagnons adorés. Cela permettrait également de prévenir les conducteurs qu'il faut redoubler de prudence car un animal perdu ère dans cette zone.

3. Temporary downgrade of own editor level

   I’d like to suggest in the WME a switch (perhaps in the user control panel) for downgrading the own editor level.

   For example:
   If I’m a level 5 Editor, but only want to edit simple streets which are only on level 1, i can switch my own editor level to something lower than 5 for this action. This would prevent myself for accidental editing more important street e.g. highways.
   Compare this with an account in the IT… Even if I am an administrator… I shouldn’t be logged in always as an admin but just as a normal user with rights just for my actions.

   An other example:
   Some tools, edits and so on are only available for higher levels of editing. To support a newbie with level 1 or 2 I should be able to switch also to this level to offer more or better support.

   Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

4. Parking Lot Roads - Differentiate Aisles & Roads

   It would be nice to have a way of setting PLRs to be able to use speed data (versus a set speed) while having the same penalty settings (i.e., the road has no penalty between the two PLR settings). This would be useful in large parking lots area such as sporting venues and malls, where set speed is fine for aisles and minor roads but speed data would be useful for finding the fastest entrance/exit on it's higher volume roads. With the set PLR speed, you are almost always getting the shortest route of PLRs, even if that lot exit is much busier and slower (or if say the right turn lane out the lot is fast but a left turn is slower than using a different lot exit).

   This could be a checkbox on PLR segment settings, or potentially a new road type (with the current one named "Parking Lot Aisle" and the new speed data type taking on the "Parking Lot Road" name).

5. Change the wording in the automatic email when an editor comments on a UR

   When a user reports a map problem in the app, then an editor responds to it in the Waze Map Editor, the reporter gets an automatic email that says:

   "An editor from the Waze mapping community wants to solve the problem, but needs some more information.", followed by the editor's comment.

   The problem with this wording: This is not always true. If we can identify the cause of the report without needing clarification, then often we may simply use the comment box to thank the reporter for their report. Thus, the comment box isn't always used to ask for more information.

   Possible solution: I would like to suggest a more "neutral" wording to the automatic email, such as: "An editor from the Waze mapping community has replied to your report.", followed by the editor's comment.

   That covers everything from a follow-up question to a simple thanking for the report, so I think this wording (or something similar to it) would be better.

6. Do not move my map somewhere else after an edit

   Hi,
   when editing from the feed (closing MP, UR), after saving WME moves to a random place where it thinks there are other UR I can solve. It is extremely annoying. When editing I save often because of various save bugs, and as soon as I saved it moves somewhere else and I cannot find where I was editing to finish the job.
   Same problem when saving, if Waze thinks there is a problem it moves my map to where it thinks the problem is, and if it is a long road, it happens often that the road is offscreen.
   So to summarize :

   NEVER MOVE THE MAP AUTOMATICALLY.

8. Add a keyboard shortcut to toggle the Issues Layer

   The new issues layer is not linked with a keyboard shortcut to toggle it on/off, at it is the case for other layers like roads, place, closure,....

   This would really help, especially for koifish suggestion, so we can quickly toggle on/off the suggestion and see what's under it on the image, or even if there is not a already existing segment hidden by suggestion.

9. Map Suggestions need hotkey

   Map Suggestions are a layer in WME. If you want to see under the suggestion, you have to disable the layer. The only way to do that is via the Layer menu. There is no option for setting a hotkey.

10. Allow hyphenated house numbers in RPPs

    In my AM in Iowa there are several neighborhoods that have hyphenated house numbers. Here's an example: https://beta.waze.com/editor?env=usa&lat=42.40782&lon=-91.76381&zoom=6 Since they are on a private road RPPs should be used but can't be because hyphens are not permitted.

11. Disable and restore to default of the issue tracker filters

    Please add two important features to the issue tracker:
    1. Temporarily disable all filters in the issue tracker (show all URs, PURs etc.), without changing the filters, so that the editor can later on enable the filters in order to have the defined filters without the need to redefine them.
    2. Restore the issue tracker to its default state, so that all the previously changed filters will be returned to their default state.
    These features will be very useful.

12. More Specific Error Messages

    Specific error messages are very useful, and we can use more of them.

    Here are some recent cases I have run across where it would be helpful to have a more-specific error message

    RPP too far from identical HN (zoom out if necessary to highlight the HN location)
    RPP too far from recently-deleted HN; try again after HN update. (zoom out to highlight the former HN location)
    Improper restricted turn in JB (show and highlight the specific turn arrow which is the problem). Allow the turn and try again (https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=211&t=276336&p=1922955#p1922761)

13. Default new users in US and UK to Imperial units

    Since the wonderful new Edit Suggestions tool has been released, we have seen many (too many) suggestions from well-meaning users in the US to change speed limits to values like 16 or 31 mph. Obviously these users were set by default to use metric units without realizing it.

    If a user tries to edit using the WME for the first time in a country that uses Imperial speed limits (which I believe is only the US, UK, Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, and the Cayman Islands), their units should automatically be set to Imperial by default.

    Great timing! We're currently working on defaulting new users in the US and UK to Imperial units. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

14. Select segments included in permalink regardless of zoom level

    When handling unlock requests for larger areas, or when doing extensive highway closures, we often deal with permalinks that cover a broad area.
    To combat the problem currently, we have to break up the PLs, or use a script to select segments as we pan around.
    It would be exceptionally helpful and a great time saver if WME would load and select segments that are specified in a PL regardless of the zoom level.

15. Make Pedestrian Boardwalk / Non-routable Pedestrian Path the default pedestrian segment type

    As the map matures and junior editors look for ways to contribute to the map that is increasingly locked down, I am seeing a lot more use of the pedestrian segment types. The overwhelming majority are entered as Walking Trail (Routable Pedestrian Path) as these editors do not understand the implications this has on routing. As the vast majority of cases for pedestrian segment types calls for non-routable paths, I would like to see newly created pedestrian segments start out as Pedestrian Boardwalk instead of Walking Trail.

16. Vehicle restricted closures

    Now: the closures are for all vehicles.

    SUG: possibility of applying a closure for a certain type of vehicle and not for others, for example: closures only for taxis.

17. Add function to upload Point of Interest (POI) and Speed Camera databases

    An easier editor should be available to upload bulk CSV data of POI and Speed Camera databases, instead of updating and marking one by one. This would help smaller communities get up to speed with Waze updates.

18. Setting "Repeat every year" on an existing restriction

    Now that we have the "Repeat every year" checkbox for restrictions, it'd be useful if we could tick this for existing restrictions to turn them into repeating ones, without the need to then also edit the start/end dates to avoid the "Start date can not be in the past" error.

    e.g. a segment has an existing restriction set for 5th September 2019 to 20th October 2019, and the restriction is one that ought to be set as recurring.

    The preferred workflow would be for the editor to simply tick the "Repeat every year" checkbox and save, without any other changes being required to the existing restriction setup.

    The current workflow is that the editor ticks the checkbox but then still also needs to change the start and end dates to 5th September 2020-20th October 2020, which risks introducing an error in the modified start/end dates.

19. Route of Last Resort RTC

    Ability to create an RTC (or TBSR) that will permit routing on the segment as a last resort (effectively make it a PR from a penalty perspective).

    This would be very helpful for soft construction closures that are marked "local traffic only"

20. School Zones Speed limit 40km 2:30-4pm weekdays

    We need to know the school zones and change the speed limit around these times near school which the time is 2:30-4:00 pm Monday to Friday only around school zones this feature should be added in so people like my self don’t get confused with the on screen speedometer
