Properly display far lane guidance at exit arrows on Junction Boxes
The current implementation of far lanes does not allow map editors to easily see the end result of their selection. We have to "guess" at what the app will actually display to the user and, many times, we have to actually drive there to experience the lanes.
This feature requests Waze to add the ability to show the combined far lanes at the exit arrow of a Junction Box.
Currently, if we block a turn using the Junction Box, the exit arrow turns red. If we change the voice prompt for an exit arrow (e.g. changing from Waze default to…

To automatically remove duplicates from "external providers"
If you have have duplicates in the "external providers" of a POI, WME should automatically clean it. See example for this one which has twice the same Google Maps place :

TR-panel shouldn't cover the TR-arrows
I've the impression that the behavior of the TR panel is changed. The panel remains longer visible after clicking one of the TR arrows. Nice in certain circumstances. Not so nice if you want to set all TR arrows of a crossing and some of the arrows are covered by the panel.
Suggestion:
Place the panel a bit further away from the crossing, making all TR arrows reachable.
The little triangle pointing to the selected arrow could be lengthened.15 votes -
Display far lanes information when viewing previous build
When viewing previous build (formerly snapshot mode) it's not possible to see what the far lanes information was. Please add this to the data available when viewing the previous build.

External providers: Don’t suggest extremely far places
WME uses Google Maps as the external provider in Israel and sometimes suggests places located in other countries, thousands km from the edited place. There should be some filtering to exclude very far places.

External providers: Sort suggested places by distance with closest first
WME uses Google Maps as the external provider in Israel and suggests places located in different towns, especially when the edited place belongs to a network. It would help to choose the right place if the suggested places are sorted by distance, with closest places first.

Issue tracker, one more filtering option needed
To be able to follow resolving rates it would be great if you could add one more filter, Solved / Not Identified / Both. Going through those one by one to find out percentage of solved issues is quite a job, this would help a lot.

Propose map changes that I'm not allowed to because of my level
As a Level 1 Editor, I would like to propose a change in a map where I'm not allowed to so the change is not applied until an editor with the adequate level approves it.

Temporary real-time traffic regulations override
Police frequently implement temporary local traffic regulations, such as diverting vehicles through bus lanes or HOV lanes. On Waze, these segments are typically mapped with Time-Based Restrictions (TBRs) to prevent routing through them. However, these areas are usually pre-mapped. I propose creating a new entity within WME that can be toggled in real-time to override existing TBRs, allowing for more accurate routing based on live traffic conditions

Harmonize poor-road nomenclature to "Poor roads"
Please harmonize the nomenclature Waze uses for roads that may beat up cars or get them dirty.
Currently, WME allows marking segments as "unpaved", while the companion feature in the app allows the driver to avoid "dirt". But unpaved and dirt are two different things; for example, many would consider a gravel road to be unpaved, but few would call it dirt. Meanwhile, even some paved roads have such poor surface quality that local drivers might wish to avoid them in favor of better alternatives.
Since the underlying goal is to allow drivers to avoid roads with poor surface quality,…

Increase the four types of fuel limit to map editors
Map editors have only four types of fuel to select and due to this incompatible diesel types or GNV can not be searched in waze.

Add a comments field to WME when adding a closure
When adding a closure, I think it would come in handy if there was a comments field (or text box) that could be used to let other editors know, what source was used. If there is a problem/question afterwards, other editors know where to ask for additional info.
This field should only be visible to editors, no need to show it in the Waze app itself.
Currenly I use the description field, but that's not so handy.

Set up an autoreply for the UR message notification mails
Every so often, we still encounter people who send a reply mail to the UR message notification mails. Sometimes Wazers do this when they're unable to respond in any other way, but usually they just do this out of habit. The mail address itself clearly indicates it shouldn't be used to get a reply (no-reply@waze.com), but in many mail clients mostly the name ("Waze Map Editor") gets shown.
I'd like to therefore propose the addition of an autoreply mail whenever someone sends a message to the no-reply@waze.com inbox. I know it's ironic to send replies from a mailbox…

Show a character counter for entering a name of an event
Since the name length of a traffic event is technically restricted also the WME limits the name input after the maximum length ist reached
(https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-map-editor-suggestions/suggestions/41814004-limit-name-input-in-event-mode implemented). It would be even more helpful if there would be a char counter that shows the remaining length for the name.
This requested behavior is already the case for entry boxes of map comments and URs.

Closures - Don't return to top of list
When you have a lot of closures on a segment, Waze goes back to top of list each time you open one of the closures in the list. This makes it more labour intensive if you have to go through several to change settings. It should be constructed in such a manner that when you cancel or save a closure, you return to the same position in the list.

GPS announces what state or county you're in
It will be nice if the GPS would announce the state, county and city you entered in because on the road the signs might be knocked down or you just might not see them while driving especially on the highway or minor roads I really think this needs to be a thing it'll be nice if it will announce what city You just entered in.

Show HN stop points for all levels
When viewing a road that is locked to a higher level, it is not possible to view the HN stop points. This makes it impossible to troubleshoot the issue without requesting an unlock that might not be required if nothing needs to be edited. Being able to view the stop point even when I can't edit would let me know if the HN needs to be changed before I request an unlock.

Enhanced Dynamic Segment Creation and Editing
Dynamic Curve Adjustment:
I propose introducing a dynamic segment creation tool in the Waze Map Editor. This tool would allow users to create a segment by selecting the start point and the endpoint, and then dynamically adjusting the curve by dragging the segment with the mouse. Additionally, the properties menu would enable further adjustments, including angle degrees, after the segment has been created.
Users can click to set the start and end points of a segment.
The segment curve can be adjusted in real-time by dragging with the mouse, providing a more intuitive and precise way to shape roads.Copy…
