waze should allow you to go someplace via a chosen route, ie: i would rather take the Mario Cuome bridge than the GWB. it never lets me.
I would like to request to be able to pick the way I wish to go. lately waze keeps making me take these ridiculous back roads and side streets. I would prefer to go on major roads or straight runs. when I go upstate NY I want to go via the Mario Cuomo bridge as I hate the GWB but I have to put in MCB and then when I get there put in my actual destination. we should have options to chose how we wish to go

Hazard descriptions
I would like to see the hazard description when it pops up to alert me that one is coming soon. Currently, to see what kind of hazard it is, you have to find it on the road and click on the icon. Then you will know if it's a car on the side or something in the road, etc. The pop up alert should tell you what it is so you know what to expect.

Reverse route ahead of time
I would like to be able to plan a reverse route ahead of time. This way I will have an idea in advance when I should be leaving my destination to come back home.

Offer another option when there's heavy traffic on the freeway.
When on the freeway and there's heavy traffic, have Wave offer getting off the freeway and take side streets.

Variable Speed Limit Sign Integration
Here in Northeast Ohio in our construction zones we have "Variable Speed Limit" signs. They are used to reduce the speed limit on a streth of road only when the work zone is active. Example stretches are the Interstate 271/480 stretch in Bedford and again on Interstate 480 in Parma. The 271/480 signs will be in use til 2021 according to the construction plan.
There are several solutions:
1) When entering reported construction zone there could be a pop up presented asking for current speed with known work zone MPH listed (see below)

Saved places list on the left
There's a lot of free space on the left which can be used for a scrollable list of our history of destinations. This would be very practical, as for now we have to go through the menu or search the destination we want to go...

navigation waypoints
Only mapquest currently features navigation waypoints.
On a journey from locationA to locationZ one might want to pre-plan gas fill up locations, or additional points of interest. These are waypoints, or places to stop along the way.

Ability to practice verbal commands
Waze accepts some voice commands, but I cannot find a definitive reference for the words in its dialect, nor can I find a way to test random words to find out which it accepts.
Instead, we would benefit from a "test mode" that allows us to say "police visible my side" or "obstacle in road my side" or "hazard fog in road" and have Waze indicate that it understands the words.

ETA on the front of the App
When you have your 1 stop route ready to go. The front page shows the ETA at the bottom, which is great. My suggestion has to do when you create a stop before the final destination. The display shows only the ETA of the 1st stop not the entire trip. It would be convenient for the area to show the first stop ETA and the final ETA. Either both at the same time or rotate both. Otherwise I have to go into another page to see my final ETA. Then when the first stop has completed then just show…

Police reporting error
For the last couple of months, when reporting police on the "Other Side", waze incorrectly places the police icon on the current side of the road and fails to notify drivers on the opposite side

Enable full control in the app using voice only
Add an option to interact with the app using voice control
for instance :
reporting an obstacle on the road using Siri/Google assistant,
rerouting to a new destination while driving,
share your location using a voice command.
All these options should prevent the user from touching the phone while driving and decrease distractions.
The convenience of using the app while talking only will increase the amount of users reporting , and interacting with the many options given in the app.

The accuracy of the GPS location has diminished significantly. Often Waze shows me on a side road when I am still on a highway.

Also, often your server does not have enough capacity during rush hour and devices cannot connect to your network to get routing and road info.

Cancel journey
Cancel journey (X) missing from UI since 5.5.1.0 unable to easily cancel an active journey and return to free roam. Previously able to cancel destination and return to free roam with no destination now requiring to change to a new destination to cancel

Prohibited zone alert
It would be handy to add prohibited zone notification, like you are entering a exmilitary zone which is prohibited without permission. Or have this notification alert in the planning overview.
I set my destination in this zone without knowing is prohibited and waze has no problem to lead me there.

Speed limit alert
Hey Waze
I have a proposal that I think would help with traffic safety. You have already created a speed alert. The problem today is that it only gives an alarm once in a speed zone. To get a new alarm, you need to enter a new speed zone. I thought it might be a good idea to make it possible for you to choose to get an alarm as long as you drive too fast, and that you can choose the alarm tone and volume. Display the name of the town/City that i am currently driving through.
Simply Display In some small way, the name of the town I am currently driving in. Sometimes it would be nice to know the name of the town I currently am driving through, Ie. because some police departments use different types of cars, colors etc. If I knew the name of the town I was in... I would know what to look for. Or simply if I am even in the town of my destination. There are multiple reasons this could be useful. GPS Coordinates
Greetings,
Suggest to have a feature to display the ‘GPS Coordinates’ selected destination location and an option to copy.
This feature is very important when reporting or sharing a certain location even on emergency situations.
