Allow local Emergency Management Agency direct entry of road information.
Allow local Emergency Management and/or 911 to have a direct entry of information of road closures through a secure dedicated link from their mobile MDT, desktop computer, and Computer Aided Dispatch desk or cell connected device. As a Local (County) Emergency Management Agency, we feel this would be a great safety benefit for both the traveling public and Emergency Responders.

Informing WAZE of blocked roads is problematic
Informing WAZE of blocked roads is problematic. There should be just one quick button which only says blocked and is used when the road that WAZE recommended was not taken because it was blocked. Currently a four way intersection has four choices on which part is blocked but you cannot stop in the middle of a busy intersection to tell WAZE which of the four roads is blocked. Past the intersection, it is difficult to enter this data into WAZE while still driving. A single blocked button will let WAZE figure out which recommended road was not taken.

avoid streets with poor road surface (loopholes, etc.)
assign a score to each street (ask the drivers), calculate the average score for each route and include it in the choice. + an option to chose the best quality road.
but currently the choice of three routes does not work at all: just yesterday the service have permanently ignored my choice instead trying to drive me over the route it considered shorter, despite my other choice. No option to complaine to this on the site.

Hello. I think it would be good to have full functionally on Apple car play. It is rather when a road is closed you have to pull over. Unpll
There needs to be more functionality with Apple car play. It is very annoying when there is a closed road and I can’t get waze to re route without stopping. Pulling over, unplugging my phone and then reporting the road closed. I have also had a couple of annoying times where I have been unable to pave without having to jump through the same hoops.

So i have two suggestions for you, first one is that adding a road refresh future / botton (manual and automatic with 5,10,15,20, intervals) which refreshes the road a head so if there is a traffic change in road a head it changes the directions (with the sound that alerts you that "road refreshed" ) , of course if you are near the next turn or something like these it doesn't change this turn or direction and changes further ahead.

Would like to see better graphics on the road alert popups so easier to distinguish alert type if voice alerts are off.
Need different graphic for vehicle on side of road, construction, object on road, etc. If sound is off or not hears, the subtext (vehicle stopped on shoulder, vs construction, etc) are hard to read. Also, different graphics for visible vs hidden police alerts would be helpful.

Android Auto improvements - Ease of typing in locations via screen or phone, updating road conditions, etc.
Typing in Locations on the screen of the car (11.6 inch) is cumbersome, and sometimes it switches to the phone then says to type in the car's screen again. Why don't you just allow to use the phone all the time to type?
Providing road updates needs to be better, the small little bubble on the lower right corner is hard to press, maybe a voice activated function would help or place it on the left side and make it bigger?
Screen directions become smaller when a prompt pops up requesting a road incident update. This should not be prioritized…

Option to Disable Auto-Rerouting After Route Is Set

I’d like to suggest a feature that allows users to disable automatic rerouting after setting a route.
As a driver, it’s not always possible (or safe) to constantly check the device to notice when Waze changes the route and tap “No thanks” in time to stay on the original path.There are countries where you must follow a specific route due to legal or financial reasons — for example, vignette zones, road restrictions, or toll obligations. Put road length restrictions on Waze so overlength trucks will hopefully take an alternate route.
Can you put truck length restrictions on Waze so if an overlength trucker is using your app and is tempted to use a road with a length restriction they will hopefully take an alternate route?

tolls
There is a difference between express lane tolls and bridge tolls. Can you separate the two when it comes to avoiding tolls. If you set it to avoid tolls, it will avoid both express lane and bridge tolls. If you need to drive across a bridge, it will send you many, many miles around to avoid the bridge toll, when you really only want to avoid the express lane tolls.

Things i wish i had on my 2k mile road trip
- allow police moving as an option
- allow tracking of route, speed, location, comments, and pins to be displayed if looking for something. (i hit a deer and the only thing I did was marked it on Waze and I don’t know where i was)
- Beep function not working for me would like to honk at others
- Announce toll booths ahead
- Price corrections on gas when parked at the gas station
- Allow notifications for comments for review later some are hilarious

Idea:
Add a new feature in Waze that lets users add friends and see each other’s live location directly on the Waze map — similar to Snapchat’s Snap Map or a GTA V online lobby.
How it works:
Users can add friends through usernames, phone numbers, or QR codes.
Once connected, you can see your friends’ cars moving live on the map while they’re driving with Waze.
You can tap a friend’s icon to get ETA to their location or message them (“on my way”, “meet here”, etc.).

Add Shortcut to "Vehicle Stopped On Side of Road"
I found a post from 2016 asking for this and it still hasn't been implemented!
There should be a shortcut on the navigation screen to send a "Vehicle Stopped on Shoulder" report with a single click.
This is, by far, the most common type of report and it currently requires FIVE button presses - all of them while looking down at the screen. A user-configurable single-click report button would be even better, but a "Vehicle Stopped On Shoulder" button would be a massive improvement to the current 5-clicks.

Request to Improve Malay‑Road‑Name Pronunciation in English Voice Guidance
Dear Waze Team,
I would like to suggest an improvement to Waze’s voice navigation for users in Malaysia:
Currently, many Malaysian road names (e.g., “Jalan Tun Razak”, “Lingkaran Syed Putra”, “LEKAS”) are often mispronounced when using the English‑language voice, even though the spelling is correct. This can be confusing when driving because the spoken name does not match the local way people say it.
I would like to request that Waze:
1. Improve the English‑voice TTS engine to better handle common Malay‑language road‑name patterns (Jalan, Lebuhraya, Persiaran, etc.), so they sound closer to how Malaysians actually say them.

Adjust the routing algorithm to consider the end of the closure (when there is one) as an additional cost of the route instead of disregarding the street, let's look at a practical example:
We need a route from point A to B, the options are A->D->B, A->C->E->F->B where the fastest route is A->D->B, however segment D is closed. The logical route would be the second option (much more costly in terms of time).
Now let's imagine that this new generated route (A->C->E->F->B) costs 2h30m to get to point B and the route A->D->B would cost about 20m to get to…

Enhancing Navigation by Selectively Considering Planned Road Closures
One possible solution could be to include a checkbox that allows editors to choose which planned closures are considered so important that they should be taken into account in the navigation before they become effective. This way, editors can select only the closures that are critical for navigation, while excluding those that are not as important.

entering problems on the road backwards

It has happened to me several times, and I believe I will not be the only one, that I drove past a place on the road where there was a traffic accident or obstacle and I wanted to enter it into Waze navigation, but it cannot be done backwards.
