An user-resetable DATA counter? (want to know how much data used for a specific duration, not only in current session).
Be able to check how much DATA used for a specified amount of time. Can check a month use for example.

Advertise the website on the app! I didn't try and log into Waze until I had a problem.
This would be great for Waze and Waze users. I had no idea how much control and input I had with regards to the Waze. This is good to know. I also had no clue how to edit the maps. Until I logged on here and noticed I had to do it myself. Make this be KNOWN on the app. So many more people would interact on here and help fix maps!

Group vs Individual points
Unless someone is driving 120 miles an hour 24 hours a day 7 days week it is impossible to get 100,000 points. Obviously multiple are signing into one account. Could Waze either stop this practice or distinguish group vs individual top wazer

Notify when an accident is reported on my current route how far away it is
When an accident is reported on my current route, report how far I currently am from that accident so I can decide if I want to take an alternate route or if I am far enough away to decide if that accident has been cleared. Is there an option to report an accident has been cleared? That would be cool too . . .

Please add sandstorm to weather report
Recently we have had several sandstorms that affected the drive greatly limiting visibility. I would like to be able to warn drivers or learn of sandstorms on my route.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to exclude a freeway or particular road from your planned route?
I already summed it up in the title, you kids are the pros.. But I would love to have more options for routes and options to avoid a freeway or major thoroughfare.
Oh and just an irrelevant side note; that American woman's navigation voice, ug I can't listen to it. She sounds like your mean teacher from middle school- but the American guy is great.

Get a parking space from another wazer
In metropolitan areas or popular parking spaces can be useful having a slot from a leaving wazer. The mechanism could be similar to that of the pick-up feature, maybe with credits to "buy" or "sell" a parking slot.

Limited varible speed switch
Have a limited speed switch that the user can select, ie truckers in Europe are limited to 56mph some even limited to 52mph to give a more accurate arrival time, like TT have in their devices, arrival time is way out on Waze at present for us truck drivers!

Adjust optimization for navigation by setting threshold for saving time
Currently, we can choose the navigation type of "Fastest". In my experience, this means that Waze sometimes sends you on an alternate route for a very small time savings.
I'd like to be able to set a threshold for deviating from a route. For instance, each additional 1000 feet of travel must save 2 or more minutes. Or using a smaller street must gain at least 5 minutes.
This could be presented to the user as a slider between fastest and shortest, or an advanced mode that allows one to tweak each parameter.

Improve the layout of the Ready to Go? popup in landscape
In landscape orientation, the Friends section crowds out the much more important Go button.
I have no interest in the Friends functionality, so the space devoted to the friends notice and the Share button are completely wasted. The Routes and Go buttons could really stand to be bigger, so I can hit them while the phone is in its dock.
Where I drive, I often need to know which direction Waze wants me to go immediately; there's no long driveway or road that I have to travel no matter what.

Bug
set destination to point A added a stop to point B - off course.. waze navigated to the stop and then returned to the original course rather then the shortest route from the stop point to the destination.
e.g. from Herzlia to Rehovot, stop in Givataim. waze: road 2 south, road 5 east, road 5 south exit givataim, back to road 4 north, road 5 east, road 6 south - rehovot!!!

Re-Organize Speed Trap Buttons
When editing the map a lot of stationary speed traps are reported but not approved. They are reported on positions where mobile speed traps (Police notifications) are / would be. As a user who only uses the client I would first go to speed trap and report it instead of reporting a police hazard. The result is, that this trap is not reported unless it is approved. Another button in the speed trap menu would help, for instance "mobile speed trap" with a time stamp. The same button can be shown in the police menu for the users who are…

New platform: Firefox OS
Firefox OS (formerly boot-to-Gecko) is a soon-to-be-released platform for low-end smartphones for emerging markets. It combines a stripped-down Android base (called Gonk) with Gecko (the Firefox render engine) and Gaia, a client layer written entirely in HTML5. The Mozilla Foundation is making some apps available for the commercial release, including HERE Maps, created by Nokia, but HERE is not a very good mapping solution, it lacks turn-by-turn navigation and the interface is overall a mess. iPhone.
Suggestion: app can push brightness to max like passbook or Starbucks app for daytime colors, possible user preference? I find it an inconvenience if the iPhone is adjusted for normal screen brightness for the interior of a car, but this isn't bright enough for ease of viewing when driving.
