Samsung Gear S2 integration
I'd like Waze to integrate with the Samsung Gear S2, which is on the Tizen OS. Most particularly, I'd like vibrate reminders of upcoming turns. Also, navigation initiation and address lookup would be useful.
I'm using the device with a Nexus 6 on Marshmallow.

Bicycle navigation and bike routes for waze!!! Please!!
Can you please add bicycle routes to the app and ways to avoid roads that go over a certain speed limit? The option to set your vehicle as a bicycle and find routes like that avoid high speed roads and roads that dont allow bikes conbined with all of the other great functions of the app will be fantastic...
But since you don't have the feature so many bicyclists won't get to navigate with your app and get the same benefits that car drivers have... I really need a navigator for bikers that shows the speed limits of the roads and if they have biking lanes before you make the trip to plan your navigation.
You should have the setting to make your vehile a bike and find bike routes, and to calculate how much time a trip will take you just have to ask the bicyclist to input their average biking speed and make your route estimates like that. Then through tracking their speed when you give them navigates your estimates can become even more accurate.
It shouldn't just be for driving navigation but also for people who have to bike places and still need to find the fastest routes avoiding cops and traffic and all the other benefits that drivers have and bikers don't because the app can't calculate routes for us unless you please make an update taking my suggestions!!

Clearly show speed limit when approaching speed camera
When you are approaching a speed camera, waze client should show a big speed limit sign (I mean a really big sign, covering the hole screen!) that shows the current speed limit.

Judge Judy as a navigation voice
Judge Judith Sheindlin of "Judge Judy" fame giving her acerbic, vitriolic instructions just like she does in the courtroom but only as a navigator.

Stop routing traffic down quiet residential streets
Your app has a very narrow focus. It doesn't take the actual street or the people that live on it into consideration. I have lived on a very quiet residential street until your app has increased in popularity. Thanks to your app, our street is now like a mini-highway and two neighbor pets have recently been killed. Additionally, your ignorant app doesn't take into consideration that it is directing traffic to take a very dangerous left turn onto Briarcliff Road. The results have been numerous accidents. Please take Stephens Drive, 30329 off your cut throughs at once.

Speed limit
Please allow us to remove the digital speedometer, and instead show a much larger speed limit for the road! The current speed limit sign is very small on some displays, and since every car already has a speedometer, I would like the option to remove it from the app and just show a large icon for speed limit only
398 votesWe changed the status back to "Under Consideration" and hope to have news on this idea in the future. Thanks and have a great day.

send XMPP message when nearing destination (Jabber)
some people are offended by outdated technology that requires one to pay for unwanted messages (sms).
It is beyond inane to use sms on a smartphone when XMPP is far more featured, FREE, secure.
Waze could further advertise the service with its own XMPP server. This would facilitate such messages, enhance social features, and expand the wondedful world of federation. Prosody and Tigase are great server options.

Don't want to have to allow access to my contacts to share a drive
In the new version, I can't enter an address or number anymore...and I'd really prefer not to sign over my entire contact list to waze. Can you reinstitute the message/email options in "share my drive"?

Tracking stop signs and stop lights
In addition to "Difficult intersection" it would be very handy for two features:
1) Waze's map to record if there are stop signs (2, 4 way), and lights at an intersection. This would (hopefully) include separate turn signals; some intersections are VERY difficult to turn left at even with a light, for example.2) A setting for navigation (in the app) for "Avoid unguarded turns/intersections". This would then allow a driver to NOT have to turn left across 6 lanes of traffic, for example, as the app would know there was no light at that crossing (or even going directly across).
3) In addition, a mode for "During rush hour" would be handy for both this and the 'avoid difficult intersections'. Such turns are fine at 1:00am, impossible at 5:00pm.
Now, this sounds like it may present a lot more options, thus confusing some drivers, but if you've ever had the joy of dozens of street turns during rush hour in LA or other severely congested area, you could see it would become life-preserving.

Quick-report presets
The amount of phone interaction required for reporting is a bit onerous while driving. Tap to Report > select category > add optional additional info > send. I often skip reporting altogether to avoid distracting from driving.
I would love to see the ability to have one-touch presets for making reports from the main screen. A single tap to mark & send a report on an accident, hazard, or speedtrap, etc.
User might even be allowed to customize which presets are present and/or include specific text (i.e. "Left lane closed") for frequent events.
343 votesWe plan to work on Quick-report presets in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

disable "not there" for abusers or non-contributers
For those who harass police sighting users of waze by FALSELY clicking "not there" the button clicking privilege ought be revoked until they are other than counterproductive
identify them by their sole use of police related report by not-thefe and entire lack of contributing reports
Also detect stationary officers who not-there themselves
337 votesGreat thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

Option to remove carpool guy from main screen on the Waze app. I don't car pool so I don't need the carpool icon on my screen at all times.

Report « ride against traffic » on highway // signalement dédié "contre-sens" sur autoroutes
A report “ride against traffic” would be:
- More easily and faster to report, despite stress.
- The other wazers know immediately what kind of danger is reporting.
- Set off the report 1.5 km / 1 mi before the action take place.-- français --

expose intents
for all clients expose an API
for Android expose:
• intents
• broadcast intents
• application shortcutsfor the slightly savvier user this allows accelerated navigation by macro (Tasker, Llama, OmniDroid, et al)
API allows for similar macro- or automation apps on iOS (ipad, iPhone), windows mobile, other platforms surely
instead of
° load waze
° click or swipe to open navigate to UI
° search for address
° select match
° go
° pick routethe macro app could accomplish this in
ONE click
this is employing merely one of a panoply of time saving waze measures
add to wiki and label unsupported should that be waze druthers
exposing more granularity would
° empower users' judgment
° conditional logic
° offload server use
° displace more Google maps/nav "sheeple"less savvy wazers (and waze) could benefit from the efforts of the more savvy
- apply restrictions not for commercial use to kill market predatory-developers, those who spew poor code to fashion self serving malware or apps which exist primarily to render ads
the more non-commercial participants the
° better crowd value
° preferred word of mouth
° google hemorrhaging
° seize market from social gps (displace glympse et al)add dead reckoning stir pot gently
accept GPS coordinates as destination
mix in more expansive XMPP integration for those who value communication and privacy. Use XMPP Jingle as PTT (Push To Talk)
then waze is socially adept, privacy conscious **, open protocol embracing PLATFORM with potential for plug-in waze domain expansion
**
http://wiki.xmpp.org/web/OTR , http://otr.cypherpunks.CAwaze ought jump in both feet by implementing mpOTR
XMPP is financially wise, utterly displacing sms as many find mobile bills for smart appliances becoming unjustifiably costly (as texting over sms is often half the bill).
° retain wazers despite economic uncertainty
° niche domination
° pair with SIP SIMPLE (additional texting option), SIP presence, and SIP for conferencing while traveling [in tandem]Jingle has video potential that would not tax waze cloud.

Favorites in iOS widget
It would be awesome to see more than just work and home in the iOS widget. I would like to see my favorites listed as well with the same functionality offered for home and work.
311 votesGreat timing! We’re currently working on including Favorites in the widget. Keep an eye out for updates in your app store.
