Speed Limit Alerts for Commercial Vehicles
In the UK speed limits for public light goods (commercial) vehicles are different, so for example on national speed-limit A-roads, cars are allowed to do 60mph, but commercial vehicles like panel vans, can only do 50mph. It’s to do with the increased payloads they potentially carry.
This differential isn’t catered for in the app, so when it’s set to alert when the speed limit is reached, a van driver in many cases is actually 10mph over which is enough of a margin to receive an endorsement in the UK.

Waze to take electric car battery status into account
I love using Waze, but ever since I have an electric car I need to switch to the car's own navigation system (which is not so good and efficient as Waze). Reason for doing is the fact that the car navigation takes the car battery status into account and calculates a stop-point to recharge the battery. Waze doesn't do this. Meaning, when I would use Waze I would need to use a second app or platform to check where probably I can or need to re-charge the battery. This is not so convenient. Find a way to avoid spurious hazard reporting of cars stopped on the shoulder when parked safely and posing no risk to drivers
It seems I'm many times a week on freeway journeys seeing situations where a hazard alert will come up for a car stopped when the car in question is safely parked (usually with no occupant outside or in proximity) 4-5m away from the road itself presenting zero actual hazard to road users whatsoever. It often gives a 'for the sake it' type of feel (as if reported someone's kid is in the passenger seat bored). It is pretty annoying and often jolting when it happens say more than 5 times in a 1 hr journey whilst you're driving along concerned…

On some roads the application announces "N" or "S" or "E" or "W" instead of North, South, East and West. As an example: "Take NJ Turnpike N Cars Only towards ...."

Adding Smash and Grab to the report page
Please add "Smash and Grab" to the report page. We have a lot of this in South Africa. Perpetrators smash the passenger side windows and steal things from cars when people are stuck in peak hour traffic. there was an incident like this today and I could not report it

Police Car in the middle
On the open interstate highways in the USA the State Highway Patrol sit in the middle but I don't know which direction the police is shooting. If there is a "middle" option, it would alert Waze users of either direction. Not only one side of the highway

Please provide an option to turn off the "car stopped on shoulder" warning.
This is the most common warning yet doing nothing more than distracting. People stop on shoulders for few minutes all the time so why do I need to care unless I am planning to drive on the shoulder?? Turning off road hazards does not help.

Hi people. Please forgive me for my average English, I'm a French Waze user...
At the moment, the only way to display a picture when clicking on a Wazer is to link your Facebook account with your Waze client.
I guess that a lot of people (like me) don't want to link their Facebook profile with the Waze client or they don't own one.

Dynamically configure waze session based on Bluetooth connection (for motorbike/car/truck)
Certain apps have the ability to detect what Bluetooth device is connected.
My suggestion is to allow users to pre-configure different Bluetooth connections to different vehicular modes, for example, a Bluetooth headset may be used on a motorbike and therefore Waze could detect that this Bluetooth connection is present and set itself for motorbike mode, likewise, an in-car radios own Bluetooth connection could be configured for a car, and finally, a different Bluetooth connection could also be configured for a truck, I envisaged then that this would allow users to predefine certain options like toll passes, low emission zones and…

One Touch Reports in Car Play / Android Auto - Customizable
It would be great to have the ability to customize one-touch reports.

In this case, I made vehicle on shoulder, police, and object on the road as my "One Touch."

Use predictive modeling to better route traffic during a major traffic event
Western Washington state experienced a major traffic event when a train derailed and shut down Interstate 5 for the whole day. 60K vehicles use that stretch of I-5 every day. I used Waze to navigate home, but a 40 minute drive turned into 5.5 hours because of the accident and using side roads.
Waze tried its best to find the best route, but the predicted two-hour drive kept getting worse and worse. Of course, there's not much historic information to know how to the side and back roads would reach to that much traffic flooding onto them, but Waze failed…

Police location
If you pass a speed cop sitting somewhere and immediately after you pass them you reach for your phone to update Waze, you could potentially get a ticket because they have a tendency to look into the cars as they pass and after they pass. My suggestion is to make it so whenever you push the police button? It actually puts the police 1/4 Mile behind where you push the button

Add the garage with vehicles and settings
I would suggest you introduce the concept of garage. The possibility of adding your own cars to the garage, being able to describe the types of cars, and relate the navigation configurations to the vehicles. In this way, by choosing the vehicle used at that moment with a single button, all the navigation configurations will be automatically set.
For example, I use an electric scooter and with the scooter, I don't want to drive on the motorways, I want to avoid toll roads and I have the permits for restricted areas of the city.

Car height option in settings
Add a extra setting on car height because it can be a variable like with a roofbox. So you can adapt your route depending height restrictions (tunnels or parkings)
