1. It's a good idea to have the option of adding a warning that the area, street or neighborhood etc by where will move the car is DANGEROUS

   24 hours ago I had an accident that marked my life incredibly , I waze shot by an alternate route as the main highway was closed by arrangements . I collided and the worst was not that was in the area where I crashed . I do this because I want to know if there is any way that the waze app you can incorporate a notice as DANGER, DANGER ZONE between another , and so one assesses whether or not to go for it. Because I am a driver which much of the time with the app is run, and if it seems a good idea there was that option warning dangerous place or at least to have the option to add a warning that there is dangerous. Waze I shot by an alternate route which was one of the most dangerous areas of costarica sanjose and I crashed right there and not knowing where I was was dangerous.

   Countdown to Safe Overtaking on Highway 90 (Arava Road)
   The Problem:
   The section between Arava Junction and Ketura Junction on Highway 90, approximately 120 km long, is considered one of the most dangerous stretches of road in Israel. Most of the road is a single lane in each direction, without safe overtaking options – leading to pressure, aggressive driving, and daily life-threatening situations.
   Between 2000 and 2020, 81 people were killed on the Arava section of Highway 90, many of them in accidents caused by dangerous overtaking where no safe passing zones were available.
   A Life-Saving Feature Suggestion:
   Waze could add a smart alert – a timer on the side of the screen or a visual/audio notification – that informs drivers about the next upcoming safe overtaking section:
   🕒 "In 2.4 km – Two-lane road ahead for safe overtaking"
   ⏳ "Wait 90 seconds – Safe passing zone approaching"
   Why it matters:
   • Studies in psychology and transportation show that when people lack visibility or control, especially on monotonous roads with no clear overtaking options, their frustration and risk-taking behavior increase.
   • Research also shows that when drivers know how long they need to wait, patience rises, and impulsiveness drops. This principle is successfully used in countdown timers at crosswalks, traffic lights, and public transit – and could be just as effective in driving apps.
   Bottom line:
   A small feature. A massive impact.
   On a road where dozens have lost their lives – even a small shift in driver behavior could save lives.

As described The waze and the engie were made by the same creator. So I wanted to leave a suggestion for Union of the two App. Or rather an integration. Giving statistics on which point the road the car spent more or less. Total trip time. How much time stopped and time in motion. average speed and maximum speed. Among others, it makes the waze more complete and working not only as a map but as an on-board computer. I have many ideas to this App

5. Wazer statistics make posted speed limits obsolete

   When driving in fog, darkness or on unfamiliar roads I want a warning from Waze, if my speed is greater than (say) the 90th percentile of the Wazer statistical distribution for my position and driving direction.

   I would also like to be alerted if another Wazer near before me drives much slower than I do.

   BACKGROUND

   Guidelines from location- and real-time data on the speed of Wazers should be more safety-relevant than rigidly posted speed limits, constant over both time and long distances.

   Such functions in Waze may contribute considerably to driving safety. In the long run they will hopefully also put an end to the non-scientific police and camera speed supervision.

   Today's punishment of individuals missing a speed sign is hardly significant to safety in normal situations. Through GPS navigators' and drivers' common warnings of police presence, this unfortunate focus on posted speed limits also reduces police efficiency when chasing real criminals.

   Research indicates that a great speed deviation from that of the average traffic flow is more dangerous than a minor violation of the posted speed limit. This is the case also for unusually low speeds.

   === Regression fallacy ===

   Speed cameras have been justified with false claims on their alleged accident reduction. Such overestimations of the safety influence (from reduced local traffic speed and from lowering speed limits as well as from speed cameras) are based on ignorance of the statistical regression effect: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regression_fallacy
   
   Decades ago the same misconception gave exaggerated cause for traffic lights.

7. Make the "speed camera" warning smaller in landscape

   Hi :-)
   I've been using Waze for a long time and I enjoy using it a lot.

   However lately the bar that shows arrival time has grown, leaving less space for the map.

   That's not the worst though. The worst is that, when nearing a speed camera or speed enforcement zone, the warning covers almost half the screen, pushing the speedometer behind the directions. As you can maybe surmise, I'd really like to be able to see how fast I'm going when nearing a speed camera.

   I use the app in landscape because that's the least intrusive way to fix my phone to my front window.

   Pls fix, I'd really like to continue using the app,

9. OMG - the evac zones and traffic disruptions need to be report. So many people can not travel the 5 freeway right NOW ! HELP

   If people could report the evac zone and restricted traffic on the 5 could of prevented people going to work or drop offs for school. NOW all north bound traffic is stuck.
   PLEASE allow us to give fire and evac notices ... this is a only route for some school and many people use this route for work. A warning would of allowed people to take work off or leave early to avoid the danger and the closure....

11. Changer la façon d'indiquer une route bloquée. Après avoir constaté une route bloquée en roulant, il est quasi impossible de la signaler.

    On devrait pouvoir signaler une route bloquée en dehors de la zone où on se trouve pour pouvoir le faire après un trajet. C'est difficile de le faire en roulant et ilpossible avec Android Auto.

    Suggested Features for Improved Camera Alert and Speed Management:

    Dynamic Color-Coded Speed Warning Line
        When a vehicle is going faster than the speed limit, the navigation line or speedometer could turn red to clearly indicate overspeeding, especially as it approaches a camera radar zone.
        The red alert could automatically revert to green when the vehicle slows down to within the road’s speed limit, providing a visual confirmation of safe speed.
    
    Continuous Alert Buzz in Camera Zones
        To improve driver awareness, a continuous buzzing alert could activate when in a camera radar zone and exceeding the speed limit. The buzz would continue until the driver slows down to the speed limit, offering a gentle but persistent reminder to drive safely.
        Additionally, offering options for customizable alert sounds or vibration patterns could enhance the user experience, particularly for drivers who prefer quieter or tactile alerts.
    
    Optimized Alerts in Horizontal Orientation
        For users holding their phones in landscape mode, it can sometimes be difficult to notice camera alerts. A pop-up alert box could be introduced, displaying "Camera Zone: Reduce Speed" alongside the current speed limit and vehicle speed.     It would be helpful to run reports against our driving habits. In other words, I would like a report of how long my average commute is, to and from work...which days are my commutes the longest/shortest, which routes for my commute are the best/worst etc. Are these types of reports/options being considered?

14. Another speed camera idea

    I want field box indicating if there is a speed camera on my planned route. I want tis option with audio and I want it to take some noticeable portion of the screen. I also want this box to indicate calculated distance to the next Hazard zone each time. I want the Hazard box to stay until no hazards.

15. Oxford ZEZ is in UK

    The Oxford ZEZ (Zero Emissions Zone) is not included in the UK list of exemptions. Why not?
    Does this mean Waze won't route to avoid it, as it doesn't know where it is?

16. Corporate carpool subscription?

    Hi,

    Any plans to allow a subscriber company to have an isolated waze carpool limited to its own employees?

    This provides some initial vetting for all carpool participants, perhaps alleviating some of the uncertainty around joining a carpool.

    Features might include average monthly rider calculations, by location, that the organization can then use in renegotiating subsidized parking fees from local lot/garage providers to include shared spots. The number can also be used to calculate carbon emissions offset using the calculation defined by the EPA (https://www.epa.gov/energy/greenhouse-gas-equivalencies-calculator), giving the organization some good internal and external PR.

    the map doesn't display properly for ETA maps for long drives. I can see the whole map for a route under an hour (not sure of distance, assume average highway speeds), but the map glitches and zooms in on IDK what when I watch someone do a drive of over 250 miles.

    your start time with delays to destination time changes as you travel due to new incidents along the way. For people using waze for mainly work and back everyday it would be great if you could record the destination time when you first switch on waze and then record the actual destination time when you arrive. use this as an average over a few weeks to give the user a more accurate time to reach destination
