1. False construction zones for increased traffic fines

   Reporting false construction zones that, after receiving 100 alerts or more, result in an E-petition mailed to the municipality placing them on notice of their failure to remove, "increased traffic fines" signage when no construction is occurring in the area.

   These notice petitions may protect drivers from traffic fine gouging, policing for profit municipalities that entrap unsuspecting drivers. If an out-of-state driver was cited in these areas and had to contest the citation, they could refer to reporting provided by Waze users working together to keep municipalities honest.

   Allow Waze users to search improper sign notices, Pothole class actions, unsafe road notices, etc. by zipcode search.

2. Track my car's vitals; build database for community benefits

   This is a big idea, no small undertaking I know. I'd like to combine my GPS app with the functionality of an app like Gas Cubby, which tracks my MPG at every fill-up and alerts me when my car is due for maintenance.

   Here's how I envision it:
   -I tell Waze what car I drive: ex: 2003 Saturn Vue, 6 cyl, automatic
   -Every time I stop to fill up, I tell Was
   a) What my current odometer reads (waze should know how many miles I've driven in theory, but this is a checksum validation in case I forgot to open the app while driving a few miles)
   b) How many gallons I pumped
   c) What price I paid
   d) Waze automatically detects what gas station I'm at
   -This allows Waze to track my MPG and cost of driving
   -This also incentivizes wazers to use the gas price feature more often

   Waze can then go several directions:
   -Keep a database of real world avg MPG ratings for all sorts vehicles, a valuable database to have for people purchasing new and used cars.
   -Waze gets more accurate gas price database because people use the feature at every fill-up
   -Alert me of the best price of gas on my commute when it knows I'm low on gas (IE: it can tell I fill up on average every 300 mi, it starts suggesting places when I've gone 250 mi.)
   -I can request routes based on new factors: quickest, shortest, or most economical route (since it can learn my MPG in city vs highway driving... it's tracking all of it after all). In many case I find, the route that's going to take me an extra 3-5 minutes to drive is also the route that will save me money on gas, which is worth it to me; but not always. It's hard to tell and waze could compute this for me.
   -It can give an estimated cost of trip as well as ETA (EX: 20 mi to work, 26 minute ETA, $3.42 estimate cost of commute given current local gas prices and your driving habits and mpg)
   -It can also alert me of other maintenance items: oil changes, timing belts, fuel filters, even to check tire pressure every couple thousand miles.

   All of this would incentivize Wazers to leave the app open at all times when driving, whether they need directions or not, which in turn gives waze more accurate map and traffic date. This also gives a new aspect to the 'game' that is waze: I get to track and beat my own 'score' (mpg), and even 'beat' the avg MPG of other Wazers with my vehicle type.

   I've been looking for a GPS that does all this for a long time, and there isn't a good one. Waze has the best chance of becoming that. I know it's a big request, but I think it would be amazing.

3. Alerte Radar android auto en mode horizontal

   onjour,
   Quand est prévue la maj sur Waze pour la prise en compte des zones de dangers (radar) en versions en horizontal sur les smartphones et véhicules. J'explique. Lorsque mon smartphone est vertical, j'ai bien la barre verte mais quand il est en horizontal, ce n'est pas le cas. Beaucoup d'utilisateurs de sont plaints de ça , quand est-ce que les développeurs vont prendre en compte ces revendications ?

4. Offline notification timeout

   Can the offline notification message timeout automatically, please? It obscures way too much of the screen essentially stopping functionality of the app, and it won't go away automatically when network connection is resumed.

   Using my phone on my motorcycle I cannot reliably touch the screen with gloves on to acknowledge the message. So after a however brief cell signal dead zone I get no useful navigation until I pull over, stop, take my gloves off, and press the ok button. Even an hour later this message stays blocking the screen despite point having lost signal only momentarily.

   Be able to report car robberies or break-ins and red zones on the map so that waze can provide an efficient but also safe route.

6. Prevent fatal accidents by encouraging a square trip

   Drivers drive too fast and pass dangerously because they believe they are saving time. But it is very difficult to shorten the travel time by driving fast . The suggestion is that Waze will recognize that the car is speeding or driving at a significantly higher speed than the average speed on the same road, and give the driver the information that if he travels at the speed limit, his travel time will only be extended by few minutes (Waze will caculate the extended time).

7. Displaying the sections where the speed of travel from point A to point B is recorded by the cameras of the Toll system for vignettes.

   Hello Bulgaria, but not only Bulgaria. Since the beginning of September 2025, the toll system that monitors purchased vignettes has started measuring average speed in certain sections of the road network.

   Unfortunately, these road sections are not marked on the road itself, and drivers have no way of knowing that they are entering these sections.
   The state, represented by the Road Agency and the Toll System, published a list and map on their website showing where these sections are located, and that was the end of the information on this change.
   It is clear that the state is doing this to increase revenue from fines, not to prevent speeding and manage road traffic intelligently.

   My suggestion is to put these road sections with cameras on Waze so that drivers are informed when they pass through them.

   En raison des récents événements tragiques qui touchent la France et nous heurtent profondément, l'Etat d'Urgence a été décrété par le Gouvernement, ce qui signifie que durant n'importe quel contrôle routier, les véhicules ainsi que ses occupants peuvent être fouillés.
   Il serait nécessaire voire primordial de bloquer la possibilité de signaler les zones de contrôles routiers et barrages de polices aux utilisateurs afin de ne pas permettre aux personnes ayant un lien avec ces actes de barbaries sans nom, d'être au courant de ces actions coordonnées et rendre facile la découverte de personnes impliquées de près ou de loin dans ces atrocités.

   bonjour, nous sommes beaucoup a nous apercevoirent qu'il y a un abus de ce signalement, au lieu de confirmer le premier signalement ils rajoutent un autre signalement cela fait beuguer la voix du gps et en plus si l'application marche en arriere plan, le signalement est inutile car on vous previent 500 metres avant, sur autoroutes a 130 km/h il faut quelques secondes.... et en general l'auteur du signalement peut l'avoir signaler une fois l'avoir depasser donc dans tout les cas il est inutile... l'application serait bien mieux en modifiant la distance d'au moins 2 km ou de la supprimer avec aussi radar fixe, feu rouge etc... et de creer simplement le signalement d'une zone de danger permanent et temporaire en rajoutant dans la petite jauge qui apparait une icone là où le signalement a ete declare, merci d'avance.

10. Past Drives Feature

    I think it would be cool to see a list of your past drives with dates, the expected Waze time and your actual time (for those of us who like to try to beat the GPS 🤪), your average MPH, how long you sat in traffic, total drive time, how many other Wazers you passed along the way, fun things like that! I think after a long drive it could be fun to reflect on your trip. It would also be cool to show this in a daily, weekly, or monthly report. Maybe an option to leave personal notes as well, like “gas station at mile marker 61 on I-75 was super clean and the McDonald’s had the best food!” And then maybe show those favorite stops on the map for next time.

11. semnalizare treceri pietoni pe drumuri europene

    semnalizarea cu sunet si pericol inaintea trecerilor de pietoni de pe drumurile cu 2 benzi (vezi DN 1 in Romania pe ruta Ploiesti-Bucuresti) si pe drumurile naționale unde traficul este peste media nationala (vezi DN 1A in comunele pe care le tranziteaza). Faptul ca se circula in viteza si uneori vizibilitatea este redusa ajuta la marirea atentiei in aceste zone.

14. Custom Speed Threshold for Radar Alerts (SPAIN)

    Waze should allow users to set a custom speed threshold for radar alerts. Currently, it only warns when exceeding the limit, but for those without cruise control, it’s easy to unintentionally speed up just before passing a camera. A feature to get a warning slightly below the limit (e.g., at 115 km/h in a 120 km/h zone) would help prevent accidental fines and improve road safety.

    There are so many zones where in a specific timeframe you have a speedlimit.

16. Monitor time at intersections to help determine routing choices.

    I would like Waze to take in to account either the maximum time / average time a driver spends at a particular traffic light before continuing to drive. There are certain lights with really long timing that I avoid when Waze tries to route me that way. I don't think Waze considers long lights when routing. Typically would matter more for local routing than long distance routing.

17. Number Coded Scheme

    If you're familiar in the Philippines, there's a number coding scheme where cars can't be on the road at a certain day and time based on the number plate ending. Suggest if you can show in the map maybe shaded in red or a red zone where they aren't allowed to go so driver can take alternative routes. This can be used for no tresspassing zones as well. Shows only as a warning but they can still drive. Similar from Tom Cruise's movie 'Oblivion.'

18. speed camera hours of operation

    Recently a speed camera was installed along my drive. The camera is active only during school bussing/student times, that would be early morning, and early afternoon. There are several also when I drive to Richmond VA that are the same way, and having hours that its active .. with an "active" or "inactive" verbal alert would be helpful. .. eg .. Active School Zone Speed Camera .. or "Active Speed Camera Ahead"

    Waze offers TTS voices in many languages that can pronounce both street names and important alerts. This is extremely useful because alerts like average speed checks, speed bumps, and other warnings are spoken aloud rather than played as brief beeps that can be easy to overlook.

    Unfortunately, there is no TTS voice available for Bulgarian. I use the UK voice 'Kate' as a workaround, but it cannot correctly pronounce Bulgarian street names written in Cyrillic. This limits both usability and safety for Bulgarian-speaking drivers.

    Please add a Bulgarian TTS voice to ensure proper pronunciation of street names and audible alerts for users in Bulgaria.

    Add an option where you can choose whether you will be using a carpool lane so that traffic and ETA data are more accurate. If many members in a given area are using carpool lanes, they will bring the average speed up and ETA will be sooner than actual. There are times where my ETA has increased by 30 minutes on a 1 hour drive.

    Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.
