Advertise the Waze app on billboards in high traffic areas
I think if Waze advertised the App in particularly high traffic areas, Waze could ultimately get tons of new users and the ability to ease traffic. For example, I live in Williamsburg, Virginia and travel I-64 daily to get to work in Hampton. It's about 33 miles one way. Currently, I-64 is under construction to widen it. During the summer time frame, there are approximately, 20,000 more drivers on this busy section a day that are headed to Virginia Beach and/or the Outer Banks of North Carolina for vacation. Update distance for reporting traffic.
Any time I report heavy traffic, it only highlights about a half a mile. If traffic on a highway is heavy, it doesn’t clear up that fast, unless it’s from an accident that has just been cleared out.
There should also be a way to report back to you guys when we get rerouted to a route that turns out to be more backed up than the original route. This happens to me all the time! I get taken off the highway onto back roads that are jammed and ends up way longer than if I just stayed…

Let users add bad intersections
I live in Toronto, and Waze often suggests routes that get me stuck waiting a long time to turn left, with no left-turn arrow provided by the traffic lights. A really bad one that Waze often suggests is to go east on Eglinton Ave. and turn north onto Trethewey Drive, which is at least a six-minute wait. I would really like to be able to save that intersection as one to be avoided.

Street light integration with viewable timer - In China, like the sidewalk count down, count downs appear for immediate and upcoming lights
I would like you to contact me regarding an article I am considering writing to propose that we as they do in China have lights that show count downs for all light changes. This results in traffic calming, less frustration, fewer accidents, loss of life, and lower insurance rates. It also integrates with their driving apps, similar to Waze/Google. I plan to publish this in a major national insurance magazine and get the attention of the US Department of Transportation as well as signal manufacturers.

New Alert ideas can be helpful during winter storm
Winter (frozen) weather was on 01/30/2023 - 02/02 in austin, Texas zip code 78730 and surrounding cities and the damage caused many counties are in the county emergency. My new suggesting alerts will help wazers during this weather event…
1) alert of power lines fall down onto road/street
2) alert of traffic lights without power (not operate)

Based on daily accident reports, mark areas with a high frequency of accidents as high-risk. Provide a voice warning: "You are approaching a dangerous area with a high concentration of traffic accidents - drive with increased caution!"In urban conditions, it can also be applied to dangerous intersections: "Dangerous intersection ahead."
For turns where accidents are often marked: "Caution, dangerous turn ahead!"
These voice warnings could greatly contribute to the safety of road users. It is important that they have a voice alert before entering the specific section.

Highlight Slow Traffic by Changing Road Colors
Currently, when there is traffic congestion ahead, Waze does not clearly change the road color on the map. Sometimes it only shows thin orange borders, which is not enough for the driver to quickly recognize the slowdown.
It would be much more effective if, whenever there is congestion or slow traffic, the road itself changed color (instead of remaining purple). This would make it easier for drivers to anticipate and react to traffic conditions without relying only on borders or icons.

Make pop-up traffic notifications smaller or more discrete.
Pop-up traffic notifications are too big. I can't see the road in question, especially since many roads in don't have names and I need visual clues to know exactly where the congestion is. It would really help to have a more discrete notification in a bar above or below the main view while the map pans over to the road in question.

1. On car play can you put colors about traffic on regular Basic

the accuracy of the live traffic information need to greatly improve uk
the live traffic information hardly ever is accurate, sometimes indicate there is a heavy traffic, but when I took the route, there was no traffic at all, other times there was showed no traffic, but when drove along the route, there was heavy traffic. On the whole, the the live traffic information accuracy is very low, I felt I could not depend on.

No left without light option
I find too option Waze has me make Left turns where there is no Lights at these very difficult intersections. I think an option to avoid left left turns without lights altogether would be much easier and much safer. It would definitly benefit me.

Disable pop ups or get a traffic ticket
Washington State recently updated its cell phone law. The new bill forbids handheld uses, including composing or reading any kind of message, picture or data. WAZE continually has Wi-Fi pop-ups for which I must touch the screen to hide the pop up (mind you I’m also on my Vespa and wearing gloves, trying to use a touch screen that barely registers a glove). I’m pushing hard on my screen between 10-12 times while driving to turn off the Wi-Fi notifications on my 24 mile one way trip to/from work. I can now get ticketed for this!! I do not want…

Option to say "not here" for traffic and construction.
Wake feed alerts seem to be old and inaccurate with no way to clear or report completed. Allow drives to vote construction and traffic reports off the map

Love the app. Please add , "Hey Dumb Butts, STOP RUBBER NECKING AND DRIVE!" You are causing the traffic delays.
Way to Tell Drivers to stop rubber necking. The stopping/braking to look is causing traffic delays.

I'm not the first one to comment about adding traffic light. But what I want to add is sometimes it's better to go through a traffic light in case of a busy road which is much harder to turn without the light

Traffic Jam Standstill Should be much slower
Waze needs to read the speed of Wazers in a Standstill Traffic Jam better. In the last couple of months, I have not been re-routed around terrible standstill traffic jams because Waze thinks the "Standstill" is moving at 15 mph when, in reality, you're literally idling and moving a few feet every couple of minutes. I see where the app tracks Wazers, so why can't it use their average speed, which was closer to 3 mph? Consider real-time & historic traffic patterns for all appropriate routes prior to proposing best route
Real-time traffic patterns for longer journeys are of limited use. Further, in the case of short journeys where there is a vast difference between on- and off-peak traffic patterns, it would be very helpful if the app could consider historic conjestion zones over the period of a few days or months.
