Add Voice Typing to the main screen. Google Assistant just does not work for searching, VT is much more better.
Add Waze's Voice Typing to the main screen for searching locations. Google Assistant just does not work for non-english city names. Sometimes you cannot even translate them. Voice Typing is much more better.

Make turnings and exits more clear (Using arrows or different color)
I have missed an exit or taken the wrong exit multiple times with this app. I do not have this problem with google maps. It would be helpful if turnings could be made more prominent, using different colors or an arrow shown on the actual map.

Give me an email to send complaints to
I just deleted my waze app because it keeps sending me into accidents that have caused traffic build ups for hours. It completely undermines the entire point of this app. I have no way of letting waze know about these failures, atleast none I could easily find. I'm switching back to google maps

Color Coding for "Traffic" Reports Indication
To Use different Color Codes for :
"Moderate" - "Yellow" Color
"Heavy" - "Orange" Color
"Standstill" - "Red" ColorThis will indirectly help us to minimize our attention to the Screen without touch the Icon for Status of that Traffic in that location. Waze Own DataBase for post codes in Portugal easy search and update by users/editor's.

We know that beetween a name street that pops 2 options on the screen near you, and you don't know wich one to go, the post code search usually saves the trouble of going to the wrong direction, saving time and resources. So in that sense......The idea I'm sugesting consists on having a own WAZE database for post codes in Portugal run/managed with the Waze community and, that should be, the primary option when searching for post codes.

I have a problem and cannot solve it because I cannot contact Waze: I receive a verificaion code, enter it, Waze thinks it has found me. I click "Yes it's me" and then I get a "Sorry, despite all our efforts, we are unable to verify your account. It must be lost somewhere in the stratosphere..."
Then, I am supposed to create a new account and lose my 13000 or so points !
This is inadmissible. There should be a way for me to contact you and this "lost somewhere" be fixed.

Il y a de plus en plus de voitures banalisées en France. Mais impossible à signaler. Il y a déjà le signalement « Police visible ou caché » pourquoi pas ajouter la possibilité de mettre « Police en mouvement » pour signaler des voitures banalisées.

Je voudrai proposer un bouton d'alerte pour prévenir que l'on vient de croiser un véhicule roulant dans le sens inverse.
C'est ce qui m'est arrivé sur une utouroute française, et j'aurai vraiment aimé avoir plus de solution pour prévenir les autres wazers de ce véhicule au comportement dangereux.

Voice search button for destinations using apple carplay.
Carplay voice input was taken away (microphone icon). I can no longer search via voice for directions to any place. Now I can only use iphone maps or google maps. Seems strange to remove a vital feature as now I cannot get directions to places with my voice.

calculated average speed of average speed segment
There are some road segments which have average speed cameras. Almost always the human beings unable to calculate average speed, so instead they simply don't exceed the enforced speed, the max speed, not average. In case if there are obstructions, slow vehicles, turning vehicles in the average speed segment, the real average speed may fall significantly below what was requested by Road Code rules.

Need a widget for android to display map on home screen.
I use a tablet for my car entertainment center, and use waze over google maps. I want a way to add a widget that can display current navigation map on the home screen, so that way I won't need to use split screen all the time. Could have ability to launch full app by hitting the widget if need to interact with waze completely, if too hard to have it interact fully on widget only.

Opening Waze on Apple Carplay cuts off radio - doesn't with other map apps
When I open Waze on Apple Carplay in my car my music/radio will stop playing (switches from Radio/Sirius to iPod on my Pioneer Nex). I have to manually go back and turn the music back on. This doesn't happen when I open Google Maps or Apple Maps.

auto complete on address search
When searching Google maps, entering the first few characters of an address offer suggestions.
Make it the same in waze, much better usability, especially when in a hurry to start driving

Category Icons and Provider indicator in Search Autocomplete results
When we view Search autocomplete results, and even when we view "more" results
* Show category icons, so we can see the difference between a grocery store, a gas station, and a bus stop. This icon could be in the donut hole in the middle of the pin icon.
* Also indicate which are from Waze and which are from external providers (perhaps by putting a blue colored pin for Waze results and a gray colored pin for Google results, for exampleUse case:

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

support "car camera" mode
today, a lot of drivers buy a car camera. we can save it by adding this feature to waze.
the phone is already mounted aiming at the front of the car, and we can also recor sounds inside the car.save last 3\5 minutes. ON\OFF from settings, screen button to "save video".
permenantly delete older files not to use a lot of disk space and dont use the best camera option (3 min. of 4K is a lot!). option to save to internal memory\SD card if available. option to "share" the file to gmail, google drive etc.63 votesGreat thinking!
