  1. Traffic Building Up

When traffic is building up while driving on the road, Waze will zoom out suggest a new route... And do nothing. No countdown to reply before it cancels and goes back to not mal navigation, nothing. It just sits there with the suggestion to either change route or go back to current route, and the driver has to press whichever button else you get no navigation with the blocked suggestion screen on top.
This is a road hazard as the driver is forced to choose something to continue, and imagine when it keeps suggesting route changes every few minutes.

  2. Traffic cameras combined with Waze live map for visual context

Traffic cameras provide visual context for the roadway environment. Humans are visual and like to have visual confirmation. "A picture is worth a 1000 words". Favorite cameras can be included to provide information along a regularly traveled route. This will provide the Wazer with the opportunity to view conditions prior to committing to a route. Traffic cameras can be displayed along alternate routes.Traffic cameras can be enabled when a Wazer is stationary to avoid driver distraction.

  3. Overlay of power utility loadshedding schedules on top of Waze data

In South Africa we are often subject to power utility loadshedding by the state owned power utility. When this happens, the power to predefined areas is shut off at a predetermined time for a predetermined duration. This affects all traffic lights etc. Although the loadshedding schedules are known in advance, the specific impact on traffic that day in each location cannot be known with certainty. Often the traffic chaos snowballs exponentially when an area starts loadshedding and often the data fed back by all the Waze users is not sufficient or quick enough to adequately determine and update the best…

  4. Additions on map

Would be extremely helpful to add/change the following…
    Stop signs
    Traffic lights
Rest areas easily visible on map without having to search
Mile markers - even if only on major highways and turnpikes
Enlarge the speed limit on the map
I only use your app while driving and my passenger navigator uses Maps. We always use both during trips to make the perfect drive.
    Thank you!

  5. Residential cut through traffic

Anchorage, Kentucky 40223: Routing from Evergreen Road north to Ridge Road or SR146 takes Waze users down Log Cabin Lane or Woodland Road to Glenbrook Road to avoid the intersection at Evergreen and SR 146. These streets are residential with no businesses, churches, or other stops for non-residents. Traffic has increased dramatically, including trucks. Pedestrians, children and pets are at great risk of injury or death just to save a couple of minutes. Please change this routing

  6. Why are traffic jams on highway not announced? This seems like a major need going from 65mph to 0?!

Everything else is an audible, verbalized announcement. Why are traffic jams on the highway not an audible alert to the driver? I find this to be a major miss currrntly.

  7. Police traffic stop - recording speed

I would like to see an action that is a button always on the app screen displayed that allows you to capture speed and other information about your location, etc., when you are being pulled over by a police for speeding. Allow the user's to review the data at stop point to know their speeds, lets say 5 minutes prior to pressing the ticket button. Also, email the data to the user's email.

  8. Suggestion: Can we get an auto-reroute or a stalled traffic ahead alert?

Couple of years ago I was headed home from a 6 hr trip with a 98 yr old man riding shotgun. I was less than 20 miles from home and ran up on a traffic jam on the interstate that added another 3 hrs to my trip.......an auto-reroute would have helped a lot

  9. change speed bump to traffic calming device

There are many different devices used to slow vehicles other than speed bumps. Other examples include chicanes, roundabouts, splitter islands, entrance treatment, speed pillows, speed humps and intersection humps. I'm sure there are others too.

The speed bump permanent hazard would fit all of these other types of methods used to slow vehicles down but if we add a speed bump where there technically isn't a speed bump we confuse the wazer and likely will generate unnecessary URs.

If we changed the name from speed bump to 'traffic calming device' (my suggestion), we easily fit all these slow-down methods…

    https://rss.waze.com?location=Amsterdam&r=20km
    or

  13. Include traffic signal count on route summary.

For “short” routes or re-routes, include count of traffic signals. During peak periods, a longer route may be preferable with less signals, which have the potential for delay if even no delay exists at the time of route calculation. The definition of short is arbitrary and could be decided by the devs based on utility vs performance.

  15. Hazard Listing

Can you look into prioritizing the hazards into auto sorting the most recent used items, many roads I travel the most used hazard is pothole, this should be top of the list for me. Next would be car on shoulder, construction and traffic lights rarely come up and these are listed first. you could auto sort based on users last selected or have some sort of favs option. perhaps even list the most top 3 reports on the reports screen. This would increase time on the device and safety as we drive and try to report.

  16. You are diverting traffic past my front yard!!!!

I live in a rural area and it has become unsafe to live here. On a daily basis thousands of cars are passing my front yard to avoid traffic from the freeway. These angry dangerous commuters are passing on the double yellow, running stop signs, and terrorizing our small community.

This is not acceptable, you have destroyed my quality of life. Please help! I tried to contact you but you have diverted MY TRAFFIC to this forum!!! Furious!

    Please help!

  17. last version 4.13.0.4 is shit , not updating the traffic live , wrong proposed itineraries

the last revisions are not working any more

traffic update delayed => wrong / inaccurate proposed routes or deviations

strange routes proposed ( improbable routes , longer and not saving time ) , but shortcuts not proposed anymore => inefficient

again today , I saved 23 minutes versus the estimation from waze on a route proposed as a 3rd solution ... as traffic not update live anymore !!!

  18. Integration of data from europe single access points for traffic data

In the European Union every member state have the create a single point of access for (realtime) traffic information. In germany this single point of access is called MDM (http://www.mdm-portal.de/en/). Here you find partners which are providing traffic information which can be relevant for your service. For example some road operativers providing information regarding the realtime traffic volume or road works on this data marketplace for free. The marketplace acts as an broker between the data provider and the user of the data (e. g. your company). You should take a look on the MDM and perhaps you…

  19. Option to report Traffic Officers as well as Police In the U.K.

In the U.K. we have police and traffic officers and the traffic officers can’t prosecute or pull over car drivers but everyone reports them on Waze as police and it’s really annoying. Can we get an option in the U.K. to report traffic officers as well as police?
    Thanks

  20. When on hiways, Make app give an alarm if users ahead suddenly slow down it could say alert..traffic stopped or slow ahead.

When on hiways, Make app give an alarm if users ahead suddenly slow down it could say alert..traffic stopped or slow ahead. Use same technology that makes all pop up and ask if you are in traffic also have app tell you why it is picking a less direct route if it's because of traffic or accident or closure
