Allow us (the users) to turn off &/or permanently disable "Drive with The Fraggles"
Every day I say "No thanks" to that fraggles thing but it continues to reappear. Please allow us users to turn off that cutesy crap. I'm not a teenager, I'm an adult and do not want this feature and never will. It takes us precious screen space and is absolutely of no use to me...and probably most adults. I appreciate others may want it, so I understand showing these things, but they should be able to be disabled so those of us that don't want to see it aren't forced to. Please let us be able to make that choice.…

Meet another wazer
Add a feature to allow two wazers to request and approve to meet each other, which would show "distance apart" and possibly route to a central location, possibly a parking lot. It would most likely initiate from a friends list, or be able to recognize names on the seach location screen, which would send a meeting request to the friend wazer, allowing them to accept the request and initiate the routing.

Add "Help me" button
I use Waze all the time while i drive the roads around Israel and i see people stuck on the road a lot. but i cannot always stop and assist since i am driving too fast or on the far lane when i cannot reach them. this "help me" button will pop up (like any other report) and ask for help: maybe a person needs a jump, or a ride to somewhere, or help changing a tire. the respondent will have an "on my way" button to come and help that person.

Turn off notifications for incoming calls/sms/emails = no distractions while driving
the posibility to turn off notifications for new calls/sms/emails when you use the app (a simple on/off in Settings). This way there would be no distracions while driving.

support "car camera" mode
today, a lot of drivers buy a car camera. we can save it by adding this feature to waze.
the phone is already mounted aiming at the front of the car, and we can also recor sounds inside the car.save last 3\5 minutes. ON\OFF from settings, screen button to "save video".
permenantly delete older files not to use a lot of disk space and dont use the best camera option (3 min. of 4K is a lot!). option to save to internal memory\SD card if available. option to "share" the file to gmail, google drive etc.63 votesGreat thinking! they say if your friends on facebook are connected to waze then you can view their drive but I am connected to waze and I have ppl in mine that i'm not friends with. whats up with that? you guys need to revert it back to the previous mode before this update. pretty much the only reason I use it is to send ETAs. my husbandand I use when we go on trips 2 let each other and children get updates. or allow u to add friends u want to be in ur list to see u and vs versa.…

Drives not uploaded to the server (Missing Drives)
Develop a more reliable system for drives to be uploaded to the WME Servers, including repeated attempts to upload the drive until an acknowledgement is received from the server.

Sloping / inclined streets
In Latam and some other cities I have known, there are streets with inclines of more than 15° and some vehicles cannot drive up these roads due to several factors.
1) low power vehicles
2) Motorcycles
3) climatic factors that prevent the vehicle to go up this road.
4) vehicles parked on the sides that prevent other vehicles from passing.It would be interesting to make waze as well as avoid freeway roads we can add the inclination and avoid it.

What if...
You want to go to a place, but you don't need to go any time soon, so you plan ahead, and say:
When I drive close to "this" place, I'll stop by.
So what I want is this:
I tell Waze, I'll need to get to "X" place.

Bring back PickUp requests
Bring back the option to send an SMS with a link to share the recivers location and make the Waze client navigate there..
This was a very cool feature and it's missed. It could be done Uper style where the receiver can edit their preferred pick up location
It should also auto share the drive with the receiver.

Allow a single user to put up a road closure that remains until another driver goes through the closure.
As a user who drives mostly in town, there are numerous road closures that I experience. I often mark the closure but the next time I drive through that area, the road appears OPEN, although it is actually still blocked. I suggest that a single user be able to put up a closure, without the need for a second driver to also show or confirm the closure.

Stop navigation once you're "close enough" to the destination
Waze should have an option where it stops trying to re-route once you're close to the destination, especially when it is not possible to actually drive to the exact entry point for whatever reason.
Context:
I've got someone who has brought up routing issues to their destination a few times, and at least two or three local editors have made various changes. They now again have been saying that once they arrive, Waze wants them to exit the parking lot again, and make a huge detour just to return again to where they are already located.

Carbon CO2 footprint
in order to reduce the carbon CO2 footprint it would be nice if you could calculate estimated time not only based on the speed limits and current traffic-load. I.e. set the max speed to 90 km/h will reduce the carbon footprint with almost 30 % on longer trips, you could have this as an individual choice. As example I hade average 4,5 liter per 100 Km on a 330 km drive instead of 6,8 when drive within speed limit 110/120 km/h it take 30 minutes longer but it´s much calmer and less stress.

COVID-19 Outbreak Tracking
Provide daily COVID-19 Outbreak Tracking. Your app should display red shaded bubbles over areas with outbreaks, with the bubble size proportional to the outbreak size. For example right now on March 19, 2020, there would be a large shaded red bubble over New York City. This would correspond to the current outbreak in New York city, and advise motorist to avoid this area as a stopover or even as a drive-through. This could help motorists avoid contamination and/or travel delays in the future if there are “containment “ areas. (You could get the data feed from John’s Hopkins or…

show public transportation routes
We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals congestion,…9 votes -
Erase the path behind you.
When in a route, sometimes the path behind you get mixed with the path you are following. The path behind you should not be marked or it should be erased as you drive.

Pin drop report function
EVERY time I have seen a cop I haven't used the Report feature because I'm a mile away by the time I report. Then the report is inaccurate and useless for everyone else.
Make it so I can drive by the cop and then pull out my phone and place a pin on the location wjere the report should actually be. I understand your worried about people abusing and reporting thing across town so then only allow someone to report and pin drop something within 1/5mile?21 votes -
