Potential Bug: Reporting traffic does not change road color with MPH to indicate slowdown
I’m not sure if this is a bug or intentional but when reporting traffic (not heavy or standstill just the first traffic option) it adds the icon to the map but does not change the map color with MPH to indicate traffic like heavy or standstill.
Just thought I would share these with the Waze team. Thanks!

Regarding alternate traffic on one side
I would like to see a mark added indicating that construction work is being carried out at a specified time on roads with alternate traffic on one side.Currently, this can only be displayed from the app.The city's road management staff should inform drivers that there is a time, date, and repetition setting from a PC. Implement U-turn navigation instruction and ability to allow u-turns at intersection.
In exUSSR countries it is a common practice to use u-turn. Traffic lights at major intersections may have special arrow to allow only left turns and u-turns. But currently Waze cannot use this feature to build optimal route.

More control for emergency workers and traffic management
I'm a press photographer in the Netherlands and I see a lot of incidents for my work. By adding some tools, workers on the road can easily report problems and even instructions. For an example: When an accident happens there is sometimes a lot of debris on the road, even though some lanes are still open it's possible that there is debris on those lanes. By adding information, drivers can better adapt to the situations. Adding a tool to give traffic management the option to give information can improve the safety of the people who need to take care of…

Access to view live traffic cameras where available publicly on the internet like around Pittsburgh, PA..
In many cities there are traffic cameras posted on major routes. These are available over the internet and mobile phones so drivers can see live feeds. It would be great if Waze showed those along routes or on the maps so drivers can quickly view current conditions.
We should also be able to add these to the maps through the editor and link to the published URLs of the cameras.

Want to hear Chloe from "24" tell Jack how to beat traffic!
Jack Bauer relies on Chloe to get him out of a jam, even traffic jams so I think it would be great to have "24" navigation. I think both actors would be for it to keep "24" going. They are looking to revamp "24" so maybe a new version after they change the leadership at some point.

SPLIT: notify drivers of heavy traffic ahead of time and offer alternative routes
Another suggestion would be when the app sees there is heavy traffic well before and notifies the driver of different routes available due to the accident or whatever may be holding up traffic.

Limit traffic alerts to same country/smaller area
There's no point in showing alerts from 2000+ km away. Most people are only interested in alerts in their immediate area.

Feature: Predictive Speed Regulation to Prevent Phantom Traffic Jams
Problem:
When one vehicle hard-brakes on a highway, it creates a backward-traveling shockwave. Due to human reaction times, vehicles behind brake even harder — causing a dead-stop jam with no actual obstruction. These "phantom jams" cause thousands of rear-end collisions yearly.
Proposed Solution:
Waze already collects real-time GPS telemetry from millions of drivers. If the system detects a sudden velocity drop, it could instantly push a "Reduce speed to 60 km/h" advisory to drivers further back — absorbing the shockwave before it cascades.

Possibly Clear Up what is meant by the "Traffic Jam" reports
Instead of having "Moderate", "Heavy" and "Standstill", why not clarify these categories a little more. They could possibly be instead "Congestion", "Slow Down" and "Standstill". I think these adequately reflect the different degrees of traffic jams that occur. Congestion is still dangerous but might not reflect a great decrease in speed. When drivers will have to decrease their speed that is useful to know, and of course "Standstills" are self explanatory.
An alternative option could be to elaborate on the provided categories more instead of changing them. They just seem a little ambiguous.3 votes -

I wold like to know what kind turn will be after turn, basically it is will be great to know 2 steps ahead: for example "after 1000 feet turn left, than after 1 mile turn right", now it is happens only with the closes turns to each other's, and I every time on the red traffic light for example scrolling map , because I want to know what will be next. Contribution reward for driver who give way during heavy traffic
during heavy traffic jam, driver hit the gas & stop again, the traffic condition remain not smoothly for very long period.
can waze pop up a message to driver, drive slow to 20km/h(or some specific detected speed ) to keep distance with front car & change to slow lane. and who accept this get the reward.and always pop up a mesage teaching driver don't cruise at the fast lane, give way to other & collect reward when they accept
of course if gps can really detect the driver who really change lane, the reward ranked are much valuable

Interface - needs to revert to 3.x
The new interface looks childish and is unusable in landscape mode. The next instruction box at the top is too big. The notifications are horribly big, and the ones that show when you stop at a traffic light are worse, with the black background.
The map looks drawn by a 4 years old in crayon, seems to lack a lot of the information it had on v3.x., the map lines are too wide.
Having functions that only show when you tap the screen is very bad in usability terms.

Tarhe Traffic (road limitation) in Tehran, Iran
Basically there are limitations on roads that you can have access to during the day in Tehran, Iran. There are areas that you can access only if you have the permit for the day and there are areas that you can access based on your plate ending number. So for example if you have even number ending plate then you can pas from these areas only on even days of the week.
These are issues that waze does not put into consideration while it is navigating and you can easily get fined by passing from these areas automatically.
