Get some ideas from the Tom Tom app to make Waze more user friendly.
I like using this app when I travel, it would be even better if the app had some of the qualities like the Tom Tom app, for example it lets you know when it’s time to get ready to make a turn on the correct road it starts flashing instead of counting down like the Waze app does. I think a flash would be more visible or something that lets you know it’s time to turn instead of a count down. I’ve missed my turn a few times because of this and if it would let you know what lane…

Gostaria de sugerir que o aplicativo informe no mapa quando o carro estiver próximo de uma faixa dupla/tripla na BR. Esta função pode evitar ultrapassagens desnecessárias na BR quando o usuário do aplicativo estiver viajando. Diversas vezes quando viajo, vejo motoristas desesperados para ultrapassarem caminhões, principalmente à noite. E em algumas destas vezes, poucos metros depois nos deparamos com a faixa dupla/tripla na estrada, o que torna a ultrapassagem desnecessária naquele momento. Dessa forma, fica a minha sugestão para inserir um aviso, do mesmo modo que ocorre com as sinalizações de radar nas estradas. Desde já, agradeço.

How do I update the Waze maps it uses. I have a turn lane that Waze doesn't recognize and programs an alternate route that is impractical.
When I leave my complex, there is only a right turn. So to go the opposite direction a U turn must be made. Waze doesn't have the convenient place to U turn in it's maps. How do I amend the maps to include it.

Would be nice to be able to have waze reread the current next direction ahead at the tap of the icon. See details below...
Let's say you are on a busy highway and you're listening to music, forgot what the direction has read aloud. Instead of having to look down at the map and read "in 1.2 miles stay in the second to right lane to exit 52 for i-295 south" it would be great if you could tap the directions that are your very next ones in the top left box and have it reread them out loud. Less time looking at the screen so it's safer and you can listen to them as many times as you want if you're forgetful.

Waze told me to turn east on Jaffa road (tel aviv) which is a public transport lane and is illegal to drive on with a private vehicle

Remove achievement points after reporting
Again my main goal is to improve the app and the safety in the traffic.
After reporting a hazard, a car on shoulder a speed trap or else the app immediately shows the points I received for this report. The big problem is, that in that time the report-button is not shown and can't be used. So if I have to make two reports in short time for example a roadwork and a car on shoulder or I want to report that the left AND the middle lane is blocked I have to look almost 10 seconds on my phone…3 votes -
Enable drawing polygon areas where Closures cannot be applied
Use-case:
There is a bridge under construction where only one direction is open at a time, controlled by traffic lights. Currently, Waze often shows it as closed, even though cars are just waiting for the light to change.
Proposal:
Add a feature in WME to draw a polygon-shaped area where closures cannot be applied — useful for cases like temporary one-lane bridges with traffic lights, where Waze should display a queue instead of a closure.

Residential cut through traffic
Anchorage, Kentucky 40223: Routing from Evergreen Road north to Ridge Road or SR146 takes Waze users down Log Cabin Lane or Woodland Road to Glenbrook Road to avoid the intersection at Evergreen and SR 146. These streets are residential with no businesses, churches, or other stops for non-residents. Traffic has increased dramatically, including trucks. Pedestrians, children and pets are at great risk of injury or death just to save a couple of minutes. Please change this routing

“Back” button in Reports
I noticed that when you want to report something (hazard, blocked lane, police, etc…) sometimes I may press the wrong category for what I want to report, but there’s no “Back” button, only “Cancel”. But there’s problem with cancelling, that is you lose the exact location you passed and if you report again it may be misaligned.
There should be an option for a back button to search for other categories in case you misclicked in a category that is not the one you wanted to report initially. This way, the system still holds your “original” location when you…

Option to relax on route correction messages.
If I've missed a turn, I tend to know it. If I'm unable to get to the lane required to turn around, the last thing I need is for the system to constantly spam me to make U-Turns, especially in locations where they're not permitted. Instead of suggesting U-Turns at every driveway, try to create a loop to turn around. U-Turns are inherently dangerous and spamming messages every few seconds only causes me aggravation as a driver.

Carpool
It would be great to be able to tell the app that we are a carpool and get adjusted travel time predictions and routes maximizing use of HOV lanes when beneficial

Android Autos version of Waze is too limited.
*Pave option should be added
*Comments on reports allowed, even if only by voice input (very helpful for map editors on both ends)
*Allow reading of map comments, even if not replying. Many times this includes important information like the lane of an issue.

Route Suggestions are not the BEST! Have thubms UP, when WAZE does a good job.
On some days, Waze suggests some really amazing detours and it saves a lot of GAS, as the vehicle is constantly moving. Also, the route saves you time. At other times, WAZE take you straight into Traffic or to a route, with building up traffic, and then asks "Are you stuck in Traffic". Really !!!. You told me to go there.
There should be a way to give WAZE thumbs up, for saving time. and Thumbs DOWN for suggesting a route with more traffic with no options for detour.

Option for avoiding hov
Why is Waze being so stubborn with not creating an option for AVOIDING HOV lanes, like the simple checkbox for avoiding ferries??? A solo driver CANNOT be in a HOV lane by themselves during rush hour .. why is this so difficult to understand??? But instead I have to see directions to either get into the hov when I can't, or out of it when I was never in it in the first place.... C'mon now.... Stop focusing on a 100 voice options (that you can't easily sample in advance of actually driving btw) provide simple common sense features....

Show "merge" when road name changes
Some paths go on roads crossing city boundaries and the road changes or the road only goes in one direction but the road name changes, it would be nice to see an arrow with name change.
Some paths go through a ramp or lane merge that do not show because it is the only path possible, but the name of the road changes, or the direction (turning right since it is the only possible route) which is misleading when you know you have to turn right but Waze says the next turn is left.

Problem: many road bifurcations, or multiple ramification roads specially in obtuse angle + between primary and secondary non clear small roads bring about navigation mistakes.solution: upon getting near the critical point of deviation Please make an automatic zoom ( 80M radius) to the relevant area and also insert blinking / intermittent dots to all existing ramification points ( green Dot for the correct lane to follow and black dots for all non relevant existing deviation roads. this way the driver visualize the correct direction in the roads matrix.

the past few months I've been getting tickets because i was driving in a bus lane. i never knew how i would end up in this situation. until i called up to pay a 500NIS ticket and the lady suggested i check my Waze setting to see what my car is registered under. unfortunately when i check it was registered as a taxi. i now know why i got all those tickets. i don't even remember it asking if i was a taxi, i have never been a taxi driver. all im asking from Waze ks to make a…

CarPlay lagging issue suggestion
Humble tips for the Waze developers:
- if possible measure response times from the system. If they go out of bounds or no response, perhaps:
- reduce the amount (reduce framerate) of mapdisplay data
- reduce the number of calls per second
- or stop sending mapdisplay data to CarPlay.
- stop showing the map altogether and only show lane/direction arrows with exit names/numbers in these cars
- Perhaps there is a function in CarPlay to clear the buffer and resynchronize the display to current position;
- suggest that users should not use CarPlay in these cars for navigation.…
