I would like to add erratic driver to the hazards. Someone who is driving too fast/weaving in out.
I think we need erratic driver on the hazard list. i.e. weaving, speeding, texting. So that other drivers may get out of the way.

support "car camera" mode
today, a lot of drivers buy a car camera. we can save it by adding this feature to waze.
the phone is already mounted aiming at the front of the car, and we can also recor sounds inside the car.save last 3\5 minutes. ON\OFF from settings, screen button to "save video".
permenantly delete older files not to use a lot of disk space and dont use the best camera option (3 min. of 4K is a lot!). option to save to internal memory\SD card if available. option to "share" the file to gmail, google drive etc.63 votesGreat thinking! Make list of "suggested eta recipients" editable
Every time I go anywhere using Waze it "helpfully" pops up a picture of ONE person: my ex (and the option to add others). The only person I've ever sent an eta to is my ex, so I guess I'm just doomed to see their contact pic every time I drive?

Spotify voice commands
It's very dangerous that someone has access to Spotify when driving with Waze but can't use voice commands to interact with it. By not implemening voice command compatibility with Spotify, Waze makes it dangerous for drivers to control their music. Compare that to Android auto, which does let you use voice commands to control your music.

next service station - distance/time
On a long drive it'd be handy to be able to see:-
"Service station 1 - 3miles/5mins"

Announcements depending on speed
I recommend that Waze adjust the "trigger distance" for pre-alerts when traveling quickly.
For example, currently Waze pre-alerts "In one-tenth of a mile ..." regardless of speed.
If you are driving 60 MPH, you cover the one-tenth of a mile in a mere 6-seconds ... by that time, Waze is already alerting you (AGAIN) that it's time to make the turn.
I'm all for voice alerts ... but when the app gabs for 10-seconds straight because of back-to-back announcements, eh....

Quick report buttons
It would be a good idea to place some (2??) customizable quick report buttons on the main Map/interface; in such way we can report speed traps/ dangers/ police while we are driving with a single touch (or double to exclude unintended reports)!
There are too many menu/options to make a report... the only way to put them live is to stop the car and going trough a jungle of options... ( :geek: and I'm used to that! I'm an android user)

There should be different modes. Fore example, Polite mode, Rude mode, Extra warning mode, Safe mode , Joke mode etc

warning about use when driving
I have found that the Waze 'safety warning' about getting input while the car is moving to be very troublesome. I get the warning in my driveway (300 meters long) while driving at 10 mph and have more inputs to do as a result. I also do input at higher speeds trying to use the microphone to speak in the destination, but it is complicated by the "safety" feature.

Improvement
I’m a regular Waze user and I really appreciate how the app helps me plan my drives. However, I’ve noticed there’s no option to fine-tune the arrival time in smaller increments—like adding an extra 5 or 10 minutes to account for parking or walking time after I arrive at my destination.
It would be incredibly helpful if a future update could include more flexible arrival time settings. This would let users plan for those little extra minutes we need after parking, ensuring we truly arrive on time.

Add blue highlighting for police traps & advanced warnings
When driving on the interstates waze should highlight your report of police warning blue along your route to notify the all directions of police traps

Show Suburb Name While Driving
It would be very useful if Waze could display the current suburb/locality name on the main navigation screen while driving. At the moment, suburb names only appear faintly on the map or in some voice instructions, but they are not always visible.
Having the suburb name clearly shown (for example, near the top or bottom of the screen) would help drivers quickly know which suburb they are in, especially in large cities with many small suburbs. This would improve situational awareness and make navigation more convenient.

Delayed reports
While you're driving, you haven't time to report. So it would be great if I can touch the screen to hold the real place where a report have to be placed. So you can complete the report when you stop.

Add Buttons
Its difficult to give reports when one is driving at 120 km/hr. Users must be able to add buttons, similar to speed reading on the screen, where once can report by touch of a button. One should also have option to drag and place these buttons anywhere on the screen
I would add following to my screen when driving.
- Report Car on Shoulder
- Report Pothole
- Heavy traffic

Weather Icons instead of Hazard Icons on Map
Weather reports show up as Hazard icons. While it does say what the weather condition is below, it is not easy to read if you are driving in bad weather. It would be nice to see weather icons reported by other Waze users.

Please add the ability to search for closest poi to my current route.
If I am already driving using your app, I would like the ability to search for food, a bank, or a coffee shop not too far off my route. You guys already calculate the time off route but if you add my suggestion it would make your app that much better.

Create School/Daycare with Home/Work Default Favorites
Every weekday I drive from home to child's school to work. Then reverse. Every weekday morning Waze asks me "Going to Work?" I'm going to school then work, so NO! Every weekday evening Waze asks me "Going Home?" I'm going to school, then home, so NO again! Everyday! Will you please, add another default favorite for school or daycare!!!
