Option to turn off alerts for speed cameras on regularly traveled roads
It is helpful to have speed camera alerts on roads you’re new to or rarely travel on.
However it’s disruptive when you get alerts for speed cameras you regularly pass while commuting.
Using basic pattern recognition software on regular routes drivers could be provided the option to turn off camera alerts for the specific route(s).

Speed changes - user cache
Don't know if this counts as a bug or a feature request, please adjust accordingly.
The issue surrounds changes in segment data and the user not entering a navigation resulting in sometimes the user getting wrong information about the speed limit, and the user may not understand why they see the wrong information.
We get this an awful lot when a road has a speed limit change on Motorways and Dual Carriageways. When the speed changes, either to start, or to end, a construction project, we get UR reports from drivers with only a User Drive (GPS trace) and not…

Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night
Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night on a two-lane road, 65 mph during the day on a two-lane road, and a maximum of 70 mph for any road. I would like to be able to put this in settings, so that Waze can come up with a better route and ETA for me. I do not like being sent down two-lane roads at night going 55 mph when I could be going down a highway at 67 mph, and could…

Temporary recording of speed and location
Please add a setting where you can record the last 2-5-10 minutes of a commute with speed, location and a timestamp. This could allow us to help defend ourselves against police errors. Ive been pulled over twice this year on the highway whit the cruise set to 120kph and the police told me they snapped me a 138 and 130 witch is not possible. It would be nice to have some kind of proof to back me up in the future. People could set this up when creating the account or even disable it for more speed in the…

Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already displays a speedometer, including both your driving speed and the speed limit for the road you’re currently on.

Why is my speed being tracked?
I do not like that my speed is being tracked. For what purpose? To tell if the traffic is moving or not?

Speed ceiling, the ultimate economical & ecological function !!
Allowing us to set a speed limit / ceiling in the preferences (for example 80km/h), then Waze calculates automatically straighter, shorter roads with lower speed limits because it knows we ride slower and so we won't go at full speed on highways. It will also give a correct ETA. For typically one hour more than a 4 hour trip on highway road, we can have less kilometers to run, a way better fuel consumption because of the lower speed, and prettier roads with less traffic !!! Perfect for old cars, or small motorcycles !! We need this so much…

Speed alarm incorporated or information to be incorporated to automated driving system
I would like to see in my life smart cities where the limit speed is set by Waze users in order to get less acidents and preserve life. Cities will have antenas to spread the real speed limit to automated pilot or driver assistance on the vehicles controling the upper limit of velocity.

Show temporary speed limits in construction zones
Temporary Speed Limits for Roadworks & Construction Zones
This suggestion aims to enhance road safety and improve the accuracy of Waze navigation by implementing a feature that displays temporary speed limits in real-time. These are the limits indicated by the yellow or orange signs on portable stands often found in road repair and construction zones.
Currently, Waze primarily relies on static, permanent speed limits for a given road segment. However, in areas with ongoing roadworks, the official speed limit is often temporarily reduced to ensure the safety of both drivers and road workers. Without this information being reflected in the…1 vote -
Use the internal camera in powerfull smartphones to automatic scan for speed limits signs
Use the internal camera in powerfull smartphones to automatic scan for speed limits signs and show them in waze and also add this speedlimits automatic to the database for all other users. This could help to add more actual speed infos in waze.
2 votesSpeed limits are added by editors by means of Waze Map Editor. Using phone cameras to detect limits on the fly would be a feature complex to implement and unreliable to use given the circumstances.

I suggest that you add speed reduction warning to your icons for hazards.
On motorways when there is a speed reduction sign it would stop people braking heavily if they’re aware it’s coming up.

Zoom Ability Moving with Speed and Limit ON
Using a Kenwood DNX997XR without the zoom control and no pinch zoom the map is unreadable. I need to turn off the speed and Speed limit to see it. Its there when stopped and gone when I move.
Why not MOVE the Speed signs and make them readable. Even better a small, mid and large text box speed sign. Let the user decide what they want on the map.
Waze is great I use it all the time and on a BIG Cadillac screen its fine I pinch zoom and can BARELY see the speed limit. But on a $1000…1 vote -
